What are your hoped for the finale?

It will either end with David ultimately removing himself from creation and undo all the shit he's done, or getting tricked into doing it

I know it's a staple of the franchise, but why would Charles even make Cerebro in the context of this series?

He said he was desperate to find other people like himself

Any chance of Charles meeting Storm?

the filler episode mattered after all

aw shit, Charles is already caught in a mental trap

....fuck, are the time demons all of Farouk's orphan waifs?

Did the Time Demons bust Farouk out of their dimension? Can no one resist his charisma?

That's fucked up on so many levels...

If that's true, Charles was right - Farouk is a monster.

I'm so scared for Clifford.

Oh fuck off Syd...

Don't kill the baby, Syd. You just had a whole episode fixing your character.

Oh god what if Syd body swaps with his mom after she gets mind wiped and raises David?

Farouk just seems so happy showing Charles the extent of what he can achieve with his powers.

So, was Farouk calling Charles a Tyrant?

The Monkey is the King!

How ironic.

Yep. "You should not have come" is the best warning a psychopath like Amhal could muster.

Charles seems like such a beta in this timeline

how will he defeat the Shadow King?

That's a powerful cinematic sequence...

>What are your hoped for the finale?
That they somehow recover from the freefall the show has been in quality-wise

Carrie the baby killer.

It's all anyone wants to do when they travel back in time.

that bit with Charles reminded me of this from Eva
still super fucking cool though especially it reflecting on David's face

>Noah Hawley possibly watched Evangelion

Let this guy work for Marvel Studios

Not me. I just want to go back in time to see concerts that I was too young to go to. Imagine being able to go to some crazy Doors show.

Why not both?

Awesome plan, David!

I'd prefer to buy and store cheap first editions

not even of classics, just of books that I like

Fahrook is so nervous is honestly hilarious

I wouldn't say nervous, definitely unsettled and off balance

Oh God, poor Switch....

>Charles advocating for the peaceful solution

oh fuck, here comes the Legion

The gangbang no one wanted to see.

>Revenge
>Justice
>Justice, we're here for justice...

Just rotting away.

And the whole plan has gone to shit.

It wouldn't be Legion if things went according to plan.

Oh shit, is David's mom gonna strangle baby David?

>implying any of David's plans have ever worked

he's fucking insane, his plans only sound good on paper, in terms of actual execution they ae always horrible

y'know when Syd and the Carry's went through the Time door did they ever think about how they were gonna get back?

Syd to the rescue!

Time for the big dukearoo

Farouk created Switch?

The girl is a walking jail.

So, the fight will be Charles and David vs Two Farouks?

>two Farouks

here we fucking go

Oh fuck. 1 + 1 vs 1 + 1.

aw shit

Gee, David. How come the timeline let you have two Farouks?

Now neither of them will be virgins

Meanwhile the Time Eaters are having a breakout in the Xavier Family's basement.

>Would you fuck me? I'd fuck me.
Farouk totally would fuck himself just to see what it was like.

Farouk's death is going to be brutal as shit, I'm guessing.

An interesting idea now is that maybe Farouk, to a degree, really did get reformed from being trapped inside David.

I definitely don't buy that the finale will be a regular telepath 2v2, if only because I don't think modern Farouk wants to lose to David again. He absolutely doesn't have the upper hand with anything except surprise, so what does he gain from fighting? The real question will be how he escapes from the fight.

That question (along with what we saw in the episode) suggests that they're really going to emphasize the split between Farouk and the actual Shadow King.

I can't believe it's gonna be over next week, I found this series by complete happenstance just a few years ago and it's actually gonna end. It's like when you find a really cool webcomic, you binge through the whole thing, get to the end only to find out it hasnt updated in decades. I'm just glad I didn't hop on this crazy train at the literal last second.

Attached: D9ERLO1UEAAlQLl.jpg (960x1200, 318K)

That's actually brilliant on so many levels. I could see that happening desu.

bump

>Farouk created Switch?
No. Switch has resented her father until now when she's realizing running away from home to live with the fun magic drug dealing cult leader was a bad choice and she's ODing on time travel, probably to the point of dying in the next few minutes. Her calling out to her father now just shows how tragic and mistaken her youthful indiscretions have been and how evil and predatory David has been towards her (albeit for pretty good intentions).
>The girl is a walking jail.
Yes. This is what made Charles accept Farouk isn't just another human they can reach out to through the power of friendship but instead an absolute monster. He's murdered everyone in that kingdom except for the children who he used to imprison the souls of their dead families inside their minds where they're constantly screaming in pain and keeping the children terrified 24/7 as a reminder not to cross him.
>So, the fight will be Charles and David vs Two Farouks?
No, two Farouks vs. one thousand world destroying Legions.
>An interesting idea now is that maybe Farouk, to a degree, really did get reformed from being trapped inside David.
lol, absolutely not. His most recent act was having all of his allies on the airship murdered because he didn't like that they wanted to do a tactical retreat.
>y'know when Syd and the Carry's went through the Time door did they ever think about how they were gonna get back?
Yes. The entire point of Carry agreeing to let Kerry give him her injuries was because he was needed to get them back.
>So, was Farouk calling Charles a Tyrant?
No. The play was a reenactment of Farouk defeating the original king who's now trapped inside a monkey. The play made him look like a tyrant but really he was probably an innocent regular king who Farouk just maliciously usurped because he sees humans as objects.
> ....fuck, are the time demons all of Farouk's orphan waifs?
No.

Attached: swatter.jpg (657x527, 38K)

>he's fucking insane, his plans only sound good on paper, in terms of actual execution they ae always horrible
No, David's actually a pretty decent strategist in this TV continuity. His plan to kill Farouk worked in the original future Syd timeline (she even mentioned to Farouk how he bashed Farouk's brains in with the rock). Was going to work in the main timeline too except for Syd showing up at the last second and fucking everything up.
>Any chance of Charles meeting Storm?
Girl at the end might've been her, but I doubt it. Too much stuff going on and only one episode left, so I don't think they have time to do a "hey, remember how Professor X met Storm back when she was a child thief working for Farouk" segment.
>Did the Time Demons bust Farouk out of their dimension?
Nah, I think it was more like the Time Demons were destroying everything and incidentally this gave Farouk the opportunity to crawl his way back into reality. They didn't seem like they were coordinating with each other at all.
>Charles advocating for the peaceful solution
I was worried at first too, but fortunately he found out about Farouk slaughtering a massive kingdom of innocents and imprisoning their souls inside their own orphaned children's tiny, insufficiently durable minds, simultaneously torturing both the dead and their children while guaranteeing none will even have the mental capacity to begin trying to rise up against him in the future. Even Charles's idealism has its limits.
>Meanwhile the Time Eaters are having a breakout in the Xavier Family's basement.
Yeah, I have no idea where that will end up. Syd apparently has magic Time Eater killing skills now for no apparent reason because she's the creator's favorite OC or something, so maybe she'll keep Gabrielle and baby David out of harm's way.

Will Oliver ever get to make good on his promise?

Attached: oliver threatening farouk.jpg (1366x768, 105K)

Yes. He is a part of David after all, so he knows about his Legion. Which may not just consist of David clones.

>Yes. He is a part of David after all
Huh?

Also, remember when he transformed into a clone of David briefly after telling him "You can't kill me, I'm part of you."

He may not be the only personality that can do that. Farouk is fucked.

Rewatch the scene in Season 2 episode 10 when David is torturing Oliver.

Dude we've seen Oliver. He exists as a real person.

Not finding this quote in any of the episode scripts?
Which episode was that from? I'm assuming it's season 2.

"Chapter 18", Season 2 Episode 10.

The scene where David begins to torture Oliver.

>"hey, remember how Professor X met Storm back when she was a child thief working for Farouk"
>"Did you hear the thunder last night? Magnificent."

That doesn't mean David didn't imagine him.

So did David also imagine Melanie? And all the people related to her? Or did he just unintentionally manipulate her memories to make her think she was in love with one of his personalities?

The Astral Plane could also being bleeding into reality. Including people David has imagined.

Are we sure that this is the only instance of David time-traveling? He could of imagined Oliver into being int he past already.
The original timeline may already have been fucked with.

What you're talking about starts at around 11:02:
vev.io/1lokzj9qpnok
Oliver:
>Don't hurt the vessel, it's not his fault.
David:
>Shut up.
>I am done listening to you.
>Just tell me what you did with Syd, and I promise, I'll kill you quick.
Oliver:
>You're not making any sense.
>How can you kill me? I'm part of you.
>*David hits Oliver who makes it look like David is hitting another version of himself sitting in the chair in Oliver's place*
Oliver's fake David illusion:
>Stop it!
So I don't think this is right:
>He is a part of David after all, so he knows about his Legion.
The context is Farouk forced an un-possessed Oliver to *pretend* to still be Farouk possessing Oliver.
When he says "don't hurt the vessel" for example, that's a lie. He's not Farouk talking about Oliver as a vessel at that point. He's just Oliver himself pretending to be Farouk talking about Oliver as a vessel.
And same with the rest of it.
When he says "how can you kill me? I'm part of you."
It's the same "Farouk is part of you" line that was repeated multiple times throughout the series.
Farouk says this when he persuades Syd to help get him out of David's body instead of letting him get killed by Carrey's mind extracting device.
And Admiral Fukuyama has one of the Vermilion say this to David in season 2, which he responds to by acknowledging it as true.
Has nothing to do with *Oliver* being a part of David. It's Oliver being forced to pretend he's Farouk in Oliver's body repeating the bit about how Farouk is part of David because they were together almost his entire life, from infancy up until Syd helps him escape at the end of Season 1.

Jesus man how deep are you willing to go to defend your dumb theory?

I wouldn't call that user dumb, but I do think it's predicated on him misunderstanding who Oliver was referring to when he said "I'm part of you" in S02E10. The context was Oliver being forced to act like he was Farouk, and Farouk being part of David has been a longstanding meme David hates to confront because Farouk is his worst enemy yet also leeched onto him his entire life and could never really do decades of living inside David without leaving behind some seriously deep influences on who David now is.

I'm just making shit up with no support from the show whatsoever.
So I'm not going deep.

>>Any chance of Charles meeting Storm?
>Girl at the end might've been her, but I doubt it. Too much stuff going on and only one episode left, so I don't think they have time to do a "hey, remember how Professor X met Storm back when she was a child thief working for Farouk" segment.
Also, wasn't Ororo in Egypt? They're on Morocco, on the other end of the Mediterranean. I'm sure they could change the local, but I doubt they'd get into any X-men.

Actually, I have a sinking feeling about something.

What if this isn't the X-men timeline? What if in this timeline David accidentally kills his father. It wasn't Faruk. It wasn't Charles abandoning his family. David kills his father. He probably kills old Faruk and seals away young Faruk into where he was found. Then David and everyone goes, or gets forced, back to the present. It's a closed time loop. This is the timeline David created. It always has been.

tfw you have to walk across decades in the space between moments in time

Attached: screencaps-02958.jpg (1920x1080, 438K)

Does anyone else remember an article about JoJo's Bizzare Adventure where the author cites the X-men comics where Xavier fights the Shadow King as an inspiration for the stands in the series?

Attached: screencaps-02999.jpg (1280x720, 220K)

That's pretty funny cuz this whole show kinda felt like a jojo part bizarreness wise.

I'm actually looking forward to seeing what happens next.

With time travel being integral to the plot and having an actual Charles Xavier around, I've been hoping they'll go full Legion Quest/Age of Apocalypse with it. Whether that'd really be different from the current timeline isn't immediately obvious, but it could open the door for a spinoff series (which, realistically, likely never would've happened and certainly won't with Disney in charge).

Somehow, I still think Admiral Fukyama from last season is still Switch's dad. The man on the TV might have just been an Astral projection of himself, especially since we've seen he was able to grab potatoes into the TV with him.

But there's literally one episode left. I have no clue how that would even fit.

>especially since we've seen he was able to grab potatoes into the TV with him
Wasn't that just some weird dream she was having while she was stuck in the David hiding box?

I searched for a Legion thread so many times and this didn't show up!

Great episode, I think that they're all going to gang up on David at the end and then raise little David into a well adjusted person. Sucks to be Amy though.

Glad this episode was better than last week

are they actually changing the course of events, or it's a closed loop and this was how it happened all along?

Attached: f71HJzB5.jpg (400x400, 29K)

Yea Forums had to break 4chanX today of all days!!!

How?

Any webm requests?

David and Farouk eye fucking at the table, the time demon reversing things around baby david, prof x seeing the yellow eye demon next to him, prof x making a sun and tree in the astral plane. I'd have one more but the copy I watched had all the ads so I deleted it afterward.

Who?

Reminded me of Matrix Reloaded tbqh

SHEEEEIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTT!!!!

I just presumed he was her dad who pre recorded interactive conversations with her after she got displaced in time using her powers

>Syd apparently has magic Time Eater killing skills now for no apparent reason
she's the only character who's been in actual contact with one (besides david who burned one up) so that could have something to do with it

yes

>David and Farouk eye fucking at the table

I would a Farouk. no homo

>the time demon reversing things around baby david

so, is it good?

You cut out the best part, Farouk's reaction to the disco party in david's head.

give it a watch and you tell us

It's definitely going to end with David somehow being erased from existence, by his own hand or another

>Only 26 unique poters

What happened?

Last week's episode made half the people lose interest?

Yeah, but these threads were always slow.

people prefer to discuss agents of shit
