Yeah, I know, tv tropes, but you brought up a trope in the first place.

Every isekai

he wasn't trapped in Slugterra, he decided to go there because muh slug master (and something about his father)

FFX

About 500 shitty anime.
Trying to get home makes for a better story anyway.

Do you mean like the world and its characters trying to kick a being back to their own world?

Yeah anime Isekai is more likely to be fuck reality than I wanna go home nowadays.

Most of the time those shitty stories don't even give a reason why they want to go home. It's way more impactful when the person has a family or something. I wish more of the stories make the new world worst than their old one instead of being power fantasy fap bait taking place in another generic magical world.

I think he means more like "Main character ends up in a fantasy land where he has super-magical powers and a sweet talking cyborg dog best friend" and then the MC wants to fucking go home because he misses his video games.

Is spider-man Unlimited an isekai?

Futurama

The war in the fantasy world just moves to our world then everyone dies.

I hate fairyland!

>Wizard of Oz
>It was just a dream

Doesn't that count as a subversion?
