No

Yes

When I was 8, maybe.

I wish we had this instead of the live-action movie especially if Bob Hoskins and Dennis Hopper were still in it.

I don't know.

I've never actually enjoyed Don Bluth's art style when he's trying to be super cartoony.
There I fucking said it.
It grossed me out I didn't like it as a kid everything was just too fucking flabby I didn't like it I just fucking didn't.

>Peach not sexy
what a shit picture

peach looks like peg bundy, goddamn.

>posting the deviant art retard who draws FnaF fan art

Fuck outta here.

>Brunette Peach

Looks more red to me.

I do like how this guy's Wario is basically just Carface

Okay but Yea Forums am I the only one who has no interest in Don Bluths art style? Like, I feel like everyone [minus a few friends] gushes over it as if its the PEAK art style.

It's not BAD but y'know it kinda.. is a bit basic? Like the dude has distinct style tropes and basically rehashes character designs often.

and I'll give him that, it fits.

Even just seeing stuff based on those designs makes me feel nostalgic. It doesn't even really look like Bowser but I love it.

Would totally watch this.

cringe

This guy's colors always make me want to fucking vomit- like he decided to go for mid-90s Bluth. It always looks like a fucking Lisa Frank notebook.

Who do you think would voice Bowser?

It still baffles me that Nintendo didn't give the film rights to studio with an animation subsidiary. A live action film just didn't make any sense unless they were that desperate for the young adult audience Sega was taking market share from.

Sure, but I have a feeling that Luigi would be voiced by that one guy that was in all of Bluths movies.

Dom Deluise

Don Bluth’s artstyle is hideous

I'm with ya'. I get why people like it, but it's not my thing.

Like, I definitely have styles I hate more [John "CalArts killed my family and shit on my carpet" K for example] but I def don't see why its such a "cherished" style.

Especially considering his track record is kinda shit? [Dons, not Johns this isnt a John k thread]

it would most likely suck ass but yes

If it had existed, I would own it on DVD this very instant.

youtube.com/watch?v=Ve26GpPDTgY

Nah, Dom would be Luigi.

FnaF is cringe.

I think he is the best animator when he was in his prime and I agree
People just have weak talents in some fields

He didn't write, did he? Bluth can animate well enough, but his stories are shit.

Say what you want of Don Bluth artstyle but you gotta admit whoever drawfag did this imitated the style pretty well.

so does john candy voice mario or luigi?

Toad. Mario and Luigi are Dom Deluise and Charles Nelson Reilly.

This, regardless of how anyone feels about Bluth's style the artist really captured it very, very well. The OP image in particular has tons of Bluth-ish designs, but I can also see a little classic Looney Toons in the Koopas, and Toad in particular looks like he could've walked right out of Disney's Alice in Wonderland.

This Luigi jumps out as familiar, but I can't place it, like maybe the artist modeled him after a character in 101 Dalmations or Rescuers? Look familiar to anyone else?

SOLD!!!

*then he remembers all the female animals with dsl's*

Wellllll...Bluth wasn't all THAT bad...

>This, regardless of how anyone feels about Bluth's style the artist really captured it very, very well.
No, he didn't. The pictures read more like someone who didn't actually take the time to study Bluth's methods of characterization and just applied what they remembered from their childhood without doing any real investigation. It comes across as exaggerated to the point of satire.

Wario and Waluigi look more like monsters than what Bluth does for exaggerated humans. Mario/Luigi look more like gag characters. And Peach would have been a total bombshell. The only thing I can really give credit to are the Koopa kids.

Jim cummings, basically a more gravely pete.

Apparently the first script was really fun. The real problem was giving it to those fucking hacks who made max headdrome and letting them do what the fuck they wanted.

"A fat koopa rolled her way into the plumbing business today. She told us that she wanted her tub fixed. I told her that we don't do swimming pools."

Yes the fat turtles are awakening something inside me

What's the sauce on these?

what's with drag queen toadstool and king koopa?

idk, I think Ludwig looks pretty neat.

So how much money did Ron Jeremy get paid so his animated features could be used here?

Would characters like Yoshi talk or would they just make goofy noises?

I think Bluth, similarly to John K., has a tendency to go too far when he's trying to "show off" his stylization.

That said Bluth rarely ever goes as far as OP's pic.

I'm not an artist but I think you're right.
I can't put my finger in it but something about OP's pic just goes way to far then what's typical of Bluth's stuff.

Let me guess.. Dom DeLuise is voicing Mario?

Fuck, now I'm upset Dom DeLuise will never get the chance to voice Mario.

I actually really like the unconventional and gritty "ugliness" of Bluth's style, but I can see why it would turn people off, desu. Like said, when Bluth really pushes some of the expressions on his characters they can come across as really awkward, but I think that's kind of charm of his work (at least for me). It's really an acquired taste, but I don't mean that in a pretentious "you just don't get it" kind of way.

I'm pretty sure every 90's kid fapped to Peg Bundy at one point or another..

Vincent Price seems to fit this design.

I don't dig Bluth's Bowser.

I fapped to lila, does that count?
