>finally get the chance to flesh out Miles as his own character >just recycle the same old "he gets Peter's hand-me-downs" story >finally get the chance to write Gwen as an actual strong female character >relegated to being the protagonist's love interest
I can't be the only one who thinks this pairing is disrespectful to both of them?
I don't mind interracial pairings, just these two characters specifically for non-racial reasons
Levi Bailey
fuck you OP.
Aiden Powell
What now
Tyler Collins
I agree They should have had a sex scene
Josiah Turner
I grew up with Peter Parker being the only Spider-Man. I have never liked the idea of any other character playing Spider-Man because they don't get what the character is about because Spider-Man himself is tied to Peter Park.
I also think Miles is shit and I'm black.
Brody Rivera
>I never heard of legacies Fuck off casuals.
Carter Diaz
What's that got to do with the point in the OP?
Justin James
Miguel When Miguel When Miguel When
I want Miguel
Juan Price
I hate this character they keep calling Gwen Stacy. In fact I’d gladly take Jessica Drew or Cindy Moon being pushed over her
Alexander Green
Spider-Man shouldn't be a legacy though, it's supposed to be a burden that Peter and only Peter can carry.
Cool, he should get his own super-identity without infringing on Peter's image, concepts, brand, name, costume, etc.
Brandon Brown
OR if said superhero dies someone should take up the mantle so they can keep inspiring hope into the masses and fend off the dozens of villains still around.
For example in Battle For The Cowl, it took Grayson taking up the title of Batman to finally quell the chaos of the villains of Gotham who were going nuts during a Batman free city.
Hudson Cook
Ebonic
Jeremiah Gonzalez
Nah
Leo Rivera
>Miles >his own character Anything other than his personality will always be tied to Peter, he is essentially to Spiderman what Nightwing is to Batman.(just without the decades of buildup) you can't have a Miles Spiderman without Peter.
And Gwen is just "What if the spider bit Gwen instead of Peter?" what-if scenario, so making her the love interest is already more than this character deserves.
Sure the comics have given them individual storylines, but their origins will always be tied to Peter.
I mean it's totally realistic and possible to write both of them as independent legacy characters with interesting stories and villains/characters, but that's too much work for not enough profit, when just appropriating Peter's shit is much easier and seemingly works.
>buy canvas >buy a bunch of paint >look at a mountain that already exists >slap paint on canvas in shape of the already existing mountain >"thanks I made the painting myself"
Robert Bennett
bendis and his need to carry out the replace & interracial agenda, everything else is tertiary. I don't think that it has ever been so blatantly obvious. Don't support or encourage this filth, at this point, the netflix approach on all forms of media is more then just keeping some demographic inclusion chart checked, making negroes happy and reaping $heckles, sjws and blacks cheer this now, wait till it's the time to put the media machine into full "asian appealing" mode. Perhaps then a bell might finally ring inside their useful idiot heads and figure how they've been played out of their money for years with cheap marketing tactics and socio-psychology.
>weeee wuz spaideh mangs en shetz! >aiyo waity! gibs me yo' finna threads, comon halp a brotha out imma just gettin' on with deez hehrow bullshit >tanks for tha suit ya cracka! me gonna do sum finna pimpin' changiz to this shitz gonna be wack 'yo! >ayeh I made diz costume totally 1 100% me
>un-ironically thinking that analogy you pulled out of your ass has the same weight, merit and validity as splooging paint on something already made >creating something = changing something
Miles never claimed he made the suit, just that he made it more him.
That's the whole point of him being a legacy character. Mile's always had an identity crisis of being a second Spider-Man. Painting the suit gives him a sense of control of his life.
I'm genuinely curious, it's not Spider-Man fans as just the existence of the two characters is insulting to Spider-Man, let alone their pairing, it's not Milesfags since it would be in their best interest for Miles to have something of his own for once like a gf and not just take Peter's leftovers all the time, it's not Gwenfags (if they exist) since it's diminishing her already small role into one subservient to a male character. It's really confounding, everything points to it being people who hate the actual characters but like seeing them paired up.
Julian Murphy
I want to impregnate peni parker and gwen (pre-haircut) at the same time
>Literally doodled and colored all over an already perfect suit >No this is original donut steel >Actually try to take credit for it >Huff a face full of paint
>Miles never claimed he made the suit Yet, just you wait until enough time has passed down the line, that nigga will be claiming that he is "the OG spaidamanz".
>Mile's always had an identity crisis of being a second Spider-Man He is a cheap "second Spider-Man". Would be delusional of its character not to think that way about it, though, if he truly thinks that by blacking the color of the suit and carving some scribbles on it solves the issue of him being there solely so that marvel & bendis can circlestroke their socio-political egos and keep a check on those diversity "People Of Crap" quota, then he might as well hang the suit and just go out wearing a black t-shirt, air jordans and shaggy pants with a sideways basketball cap.
It appeals to bendis, media executives, "not diverse enough" demons and their multi-culti narratives, tumblr, guilt tripped millennials, blue checkmark twatter fags, "gibs sum o' dem wuayt wimminz" negros and last, but not least, interracial aficionados cucks.
Jason Kelly
I mean that's not something that's unique to them, it would've been cute if they were paired with anyone else, it's young love, you can do it without shitting on Peter
Charles Brown
All I know is that they're making a Spider-Verse comic to synergize with the movie and they have the audacity not to retcon Slott's Spider-Verse killing off Noir.
Jose Myers
But Nightwing is the opposite of Batman in almost every way, he's friendly, very charistmatic, an inspirational leader, optimistic and love to make friends and dating.
Miles personality is just...fucking nothing.
Matthew Russell
What about Spider-Man 2099 with Miguel O Hara? And that's an old established character from back then.
Samuel Richardson
>I can't be the only one who thinks this pairing is disrespectful to both of them? How is it disrespectful when both these characters are essentially copies of Peter but their only interesting selling point is their ethnicity and gender?
Carson Anderson

Luke Murphy
>kill off more Spiders, incluing one who was popular enough to be a major character in a video game and also a movie >decide that the Inheritors are actually victims of abuse and turn them into babies with no memory of their past lives, meaning they'll never be held accountable for their actions and have gotten away with killing who knows how many heroes and destroying who knows how many worlds
The only good parts of Spider-Geddon's main story were Ben's redemption and MC2 Peter's resurrection, and that was just Slott cleaning two of the messes he'd made.
Lucas Flores
daily reminder that diversity is not a virtue it's a measurement
Kevin Morris
I almost feel like Slott made a new Spider-Verse series after "Secret Wars" to cement the bloodshed of the first Spider-Verse series that was implicitly retconned with the multiversal collapse and reconstruction of "Secret Wars".
Dominic Edwards
Why is Miles still using the Spider-man name when Parker is still alive and is obviously the most popular among the two? Does he really want Marvel Citizens to call him the "Black one" when they're trying to distinguish which Spider-man they're talking about?
Angel Ross
I don't get why someone like you even reads these books or watches the movies. They don't make them for racist shitheads, they make them for normal people.
Nicholas Bennett
Mania would be an interesting one. >Venom’s clone gets a host that’s paired up with Spider-Man It’d be the complete flip of Venom and Peter’s relationship
Elijah Lopez
he looks like he came out of a darkest dungeon mod
my biggest issue with Miles is his existence seems like a direct middle finger to actual diversity. He gets these powers and can be anything but he chooses to be Spiderman when there is already a Spiderman. It made sense in the Ultimate universe while Parker was dead, but now that there's two spidermen, it seems like a "Cool, I dont need my own identity, I'll pretend to be you, white man"
Finally watched it, the animation was really nice, everything else, aside from Peter B., was kinda meh Why did the movie try to pretend like Gwen was more important than the rest of Spider-Extras? It establishes that Spider-People can sense each other's presence, like in Highlander, and Gwen says she infiltrated the school because of Miles' presence, but she did so before Miles ever got there? And once she meets him, she proceeds to do absolutely nothing with it, instead she just conveniently appears at the Alchemax lab at the same time as Peter B. and Miles are there. And don't tell me she followed Miles there, she wouldn't be wearing a disguise if that was the case, she'd just be in her super suit all along.
When did he ever take credit for making the suit? Did you even watch the movie?
Adrian Mitchell
yeah gwen deserved better she deserves me
Jack Evans
Gwen entering Miles universe has a lot of plot holes. Really best to just ignore it.
David Ross
Oh yeah, the collider scanned Peter's DNA, didn't it, so there's no reason at all for her and Peni to be there in the first place.
Carson Martinez
>claiming things that didn't happen in the movie Sooo basically you're whining because someone is playing a spider man who is not Peter.
Jacob Hughes
>I can't be the only one who thinks this pairing is disrespectful to both of them? Milking an alternate version of a dead character isn't already kind of disrespectful?
Hudson Russell
The greatest irony of /pol/, I think, is that when reddit had its purges we were overwhelmed by refugees who refused to assimilate, and who refused to adopt our values.
Easton Murphy
It is, but they're doubling down and doing a multi-layered disrespect
This crack tier ship cannot be considered cute under any circumstances

Why are abbos' skulls so different from anyone else?

Negro spidey is just as good as old aryan spidey in sodaspideyverse at busting criminals, and everyone accepts him as an obvious successor to old dead aryan catholic ubermensch spidey, cause having a spidey is better than not having a spidey.
Camden Campbell
>experienced Peter in his prime >adolescent Miles first week on the job >just as good Donut steel tier writing, disrespectful
Lincoln Gray
>reads these books >watches the movies This crap? Spider-Man as it is today, it's filth engrossed and groomed with sjw globalists corporate money making marketing meant to pull the neuronal strings of those who follow the so called "multicultural & diversity" dogma, though ironically, or rather purposely, it is through these ideals and practises that cultures and true diversity is extinguished in favor of globalized center control. Red, blue, yellow. Beautiful colors when each retains their own fringe of space you get something pretty as a rainbow. Throw all those colors in a cauldron and mix them up? It'll turn into an ugly, pasty dark grey goo deprived of its initial individuality, property, its color. I am not going to pretend that I like or would willingly tolerate the presence of blacks/browns, life experiences have given more then enough valid reasons not to, I expect the majority's complete inflexibility and disdain towards my opinions and mindset, but I will say this: so close as back in the early 2000's I did not particularly mind blacks/browns taking center stage in media, probably because the heavy push and agenda driven connotation that it carries today wasn't made so obvious at the time. Media which marketing driven tactics are that of appealing to a-or rather opposing a specific demographic and taking it into the social media masses to rile them up and dogpile on the "dissenters" being those who aren't dark or rich enough to escape having to live with browns/blacks and their myriad of issues, is something I simply cannot and will not ever support. No, someone like me does not consume products aimed at you "normal people"s wallets. I do, however, reserve myself the right to criticize said products content and the practices done by the corporations who supplies the masses with more then just money making capital scheming, nebulous agenda driven intentions aimed at the social cognition through subconscious subversion. It is my right to do so.
Nicholas Jenkins
They don't know that he's adolescent. He might just be a lanky manlet in build. They do know and see that he has spideystrength and spideywallclimbing and spideyreflexes. So, that aryan Spidey obviously trained a replacement for himself who is good enough. The public doesn't know that the new negro spidey is an actual nigga.
Asher Rogers
But they will know the moment he opens his mouth: >aiyo betch shetz aahss mudda fugga bix nood shak muh dik hed yo' I beez tha new (smacks lips) spaidar mahngs yo' das rite we wuz heroes naw aiyo sheeeiet!
Spider-Geddon was written by Christos Gage, Slott is only credited in it because he created Spider-Verse
Oh and speaking of the Spider-Verse mini, they're apparently featuring #SpiderSonas made by fans and professionals in it
Tyler Rodriguez
If I'm not mistaken, Slott came up with the basic plot of Spider-Geddon but told Gage he was free to do whatever he wanted with it. One thing that Slott quite smugly took credit for was resurrecting MC2 Peter.
>finally get the chance to make a good thread >make this instead Step your game up, OP.
Sebastian Hall
>Miles in his comics couldn't stop whining about how he'll never be as good as Peter >Can do shit Peter couldn't and makes all of Peter's villains look like jokes with his fucking shocker thing >This is a good character
Brandon Robinson
Well that's fucking stupid. How much of it did he come up with? I bet that he came up with the idea that the Inheritors would get the mass babality instead of getting killed.
Caleb Carter
>I grew up with Peter Parker being the only Spider-Man. How old are you? Ben Riley and 2099 are old as shit.
Owen Carter
You need to study your ebonics Im pretty sure you dont know what finna means
Adrian Allen
All this seems like you're just triggered by the 3rd Black Spiderman for just being black.
Mason Bell
Yeah but Peter ain't dead in mainline continuity. Also Batman is a mantle of responsibility and a symbol, there always has to be a Batman in Gotham City and there have been numerous other people who have taken up the Batman name, while Spider-Man is the burden that Peter feels he must carry for his life.
Gavin Young
Are you that one user that kept saying how he's cursed with these powers from a few threads back?
Thomas Moore
We've had 2099 and Ben Riley the original scarlet spider hell we have Kaine as well and his daughter from another timeline do you even read comics?
Samuel Price
Not literally I'm just saying that's how Peter should see it.
Sebastian Richardson
By the time of Miles Morales' introduction, Spider-Man had been replaced in the role for a period by his own clone, and it had been established that both his daughter and his a geneticist from the future would or could one day take up his mantle and variations on his costume as legacy heroes.
Elijah White
>alternate universe character and a short lived clone arc that was more like a fraud temporary taking his place than a legacy character Not him but are you serious?
Andrew Howard
They lived alone on an isolated continent for 50 thousand years, and on the way there picked up a lot of Denisovan DNA. Meanwhile, Europeans and East Asians intermingled periodically with one another and with Neanderthals, and to a lesser extent with Africans, keeping a certain amount of gene flow going and maintaining greater commonality.
William Ross
>he is essentially to Spiderman what Nightwing is to Batman
Spider-Man has several legacy replacements in future timelines, and alternate universes (including the one that spawned Miles as a character. All anyone's saying is that there's ample conceptual room and precedent for a Spider-Man legacy.
Hunter Evans
Agreed. Bombshell was a far better choice for Miles than Gwen
Reminder that this pairing was written by a cuck fetishist backed by an editor who knew it would piss off fans. Everything done under the spiderman franchise for the last ten years was done to create the most amount of ire possible
>Diversity is our strength I don't mind diversity, and I'm okay with Miles having a white girlfriend. But it just can't be Gwen. She may be an alternate version, but Gwen has too much of a history and ties to Peter, and it wouldn't feel right to have a successor of Peter hooking up with a counterpart of Peter's first love
It just feels like an excuse to force something that won't have any merit or benefit for the long-term, and it would only weaken these character's position if thy are bound to Peter since they became what they are because of his death. That's pretty messed up if you think about it
Why not have Miles date any white girls like Bombshell or anybody else? It would be a good way to build up his casts, and would make him stand his own as an individual
Elijah Robinson
Yes but most of those were written to add to the story, Miles has only ever been written to completely replace it. It would be fine but there hasn't been anything Miles has done to justify it and has never added anything of his own to even his own story, let alone the franchise as a whole
Jaxon Foster
>Miles personality is just...fucking nothing. I thought the movie gave him a personality. He's a more art oriented Peter but that's more than I can say for his comic book counterpart.
Typically legacies are written with some reverence to the character they're taking the name from (avoiding the whole normally the name isn't currently in use when the legacy character is in use) but Miles is written out of spite for peter and that's the way bendis wanted it, a complete eradication of the importance of peter in order to prop up Miles. Which I suppose would be fine but he hasn't added anything of his own to the franchise in the almost decade of useing peters name
Easton Brooks
He never seen it that way at first he saw it as a blessing because he immediately went to exploit it and get money from it.
Nathan Roberts
>The only Spiderman I remember was Peter >Actually there were always more than just Pete for awhile >REEEEE THEY DON'T COUNT
Andrew Ward
>who knew it would piss off fans. Most anons here that complain about it don't even read comics nor do they care about the characters

yes and because of his powers a series of events happened that directly to the death of his uncle. He's happy he has the powers but he never wanted them
Nicholas Nguyen
>Typically legacies are written with some reverence to the character they're taking the name from Isn't that what the movie did?
Oliver Ward
>He's happy he has the powers but he never wanted them

His uncle didn't die because of his powers, Ben died because he refused to use them for good and was only looking out for himself. Blaming his powers and not him being selfish is just wrong
Gabriel Brooks
Nope
Noah Roberts
can someone tell me if Yea Forums is actually butthurt about this movie, or is this some /pol/ baiting?
Austin Hughes
Yea Forums has never liked Miles, this movie did nothing to change that
Brayden Robinson
/pol/ baiting, crazy gwen obsession fan, and weird spidey fan.
Evan Garcia
Yea Forumsmblr falseflagging
Lucas Gutierrez
I've never gotten an explanation for why that is.
Nicholas Williams
It seems like it, it showed that Spiderman is an amazing hero and that New York needs a Spiderman and not any Tom Dick Harry can fill his place. It takes courage and faith to go out everday like he does not knowing if you'll ever comeback.
Austin Campbell
Literally bait. and a weak one at that. >Anyone can be Spider-man/posses the soul of a hero >What the hell? Why isn't Miles blood related to Parker? Why is he some random kid off the street?
How low does my IQ have to be for these non-arguments to start making sense?
Like most things in life it's a mix of both. I'm just against the use of gwen as a love interest again especially for a "spiderman" thats not peter, Because of the history of the character. People want to pivot that into a pol argument about race. I don't mind all interracial relationships (though I will admit since I've been coming here I feel a cancerous discomfort as if these cucks insecurities is infectious) but I'd never hold it against anyone looking for/being in a relationship and I don't believe that every example of fictional characters in interracial relationships is supposed to be some sort of malicious jewish trick. But this pairing in particular is supposed to feed that argument, that's it. It's not about quality or saying anything anymore, it's about who can bait the worst out of their opponent and then use that to ignore that they haven't made a single point of their own
Angel Ross
comics >Peter dies in an anti climactic fashion >Miles comes literally put of nowhere and is spiderman longer than peter ever was >Peter comes back to life to tell miles he's the better spiderman >Literally the only reason secret wars happens is to jam miles into continuity
I think if you've ever read the comics you'd see it but you're just here to jack off over your "moral superiority" Miles hasn't added anything to the name he just uses it because Marvel doesn't want to deal with supporting a new character not tied to an established name
Luis White
>it showed that not any Tom Dick Harry can fill his place Literally the opposite is true
Blake Ross
Pretty low honestly
William Jackson
I think he means no one can take his place as spider-man but anyone can be hero, I get that's harder to slap onto a toy everyone will buy
Jack Russell
I wouldn't have minded Peter getting replaced... if it had stayed in the Ultimate Universe. Miles being brought over to the main universe feels bloated. I mean, how many spider-people do we have running around in that one alone?
As for Miles, I don't like Venom Blast. I understand needing to make him feel a little different than Pete, but why Venom Blast? Giving him a powerset based on a different type of spider, like maybe a divingbell spider, would have been better. Heck, let him grow 4 extra arms on demand.
Cameron Powell
Notice how when Miles put on a random suit that he literally wasn't prepared to be Spider-Man and how he got beaten up by all the other Spider-Man couldn't use his powers and was a coward for 90% of the movie. He had the powers but he didn't have the heart or courage Peter did, it even showed after Peter's death that he was too scared to try to jump from a high building and he moved to a smaller one not sure what that he couldn't even do simple swinging like Spider-Man does. When it says anyone can wear the mask it means anyone can have that drive Peter does but it means work and it's a leap of faith remember that Peter Parker was just some nerdy kid from Queens before he got bit by the spider
Tyler King
>Peter comes back to life to tell miles he's the better spiderman
He never say that, he only told miles that he was sorry for being a jerk. And he retired as being spider-man.
>Peter dies in an anti climactic fashion Fending off the entire Ultimate sinister six defending his home in Queens, Aunt May, MJ, and Gwen after eating a bullet to abdomen finally succumbing to his wounds after knocking a crazed ultimate Green Goblin is 'anti-climatic'? >Miles comes literally put of nowhere and is spiderman longer than peter ever was It's already explained that Miles starts out as a massive coward. and by virtue of him being alive he would eventually outlast ultimate parker. I'm not sure what's wrong with this one. >Peter comes back to life to tell miles he's the better spiderman Did he? I remember him coming back, calling Miles a poor imitation, knocking Morales on his ass and taking back his web-shooters. >Literally the only reason secret wars happens is to jam miles into continuity Miles was the only thing of importance that lasted a couple of months but Secret Wars 2 had other purposes. It changed a few things for Fantastic 4, introduced a couple of New Characters (The New Muslim Captain Britain. remember her?) ended or concluded maybe the Ultimate Marvel line and gave some more Doom Wank for the masses. Secret Wars 2 was not a Miles Morales event.
Imagine unironically defending and rationalizing a character made in bad faith
Leo Rivera
Y'know, when you think about it, that messaging is kinda mixed. >Anybody can be a hero. You just need to take a leap of faith! >...Well, after being imbued with superhuman abilities first. THEN you can be a hero.
Daniel Clark
Imagine hating a fictional character simply because he isn't the same race as you
Jordan Morris
He wasn't a hero at first even with the Superhuman abilities
Kayden Jenkins
Yes it was anticlimactic since nothing came of it and bendis pulled the whole thing out of his ass the moment he realized that he could turn spiderman black for no reason. Its why nothing stuck from it and its why the best he could think to do is have the sinister 6 finally merc him after 50 fucking years of failing. Miles was made out of spite for peter thats it its why everytime they're on screen together peter acts out of character. Its to build audience sympathy for the character, because bendis doesn't know how to add to what's there only to overwrite it with whatever he wants because editorial has no power over him >Secret wars 4 was not a miles centric event No but he's the most significant thing to have come out of it.
Adam Collins
>Yea Forums likes Spiderverse Miles >/tg/ likes Spiderverse Miles >/trash/ likes Spiderverse Miles >Even fucking Yea Forums likes Spiderverse Miles enough to use him in some Smash Bros threads as a joke towards character speculation
>Yea Forums still goes on about "muh Peter" and "Spider-Man is ONE guy" while also sucking dick to Ben Reily (despite starring in the shittiest saga of all time) and Miguel O'Hara (not to mention Bendis being long gone from the character and Ahmed doing a somewhat good job with the character)
imagine defending a fictional character because you think it'll make people see you as not racist
Caleb Cruz
In retrospect, miles is pretty harmless. I really don't know why people get angry at his succes.
Go read Peter stories. There are like three right now.
Jeremiah Garcia
Imagine liking a fictional character made for insidious reasons simply because he is the same race as you
Owen Wright
Who'd imagine that the comics board would have an opinion on a comic book character based on his impact in the comics
Adam Howard
>its why everytime they're on screen together peter acts out of character. Not him but do you mean the depressed Peter that lost everything? Can you tell me somethings that were out of character for Pete?
Samuel Edwards
Perhaps, but the end result is still that Miles is a hero with superhuman abilities.
I don't think it will ever be possible to make a Spider-Man story about a non-superhuman Spider-Man, but that would still help make the message a bit more on-point, I feel.
Josiah Wilson
Imagine hating a fictional character because you think it'll make you look cool on Yea Forums Imagine thinking someone can only like a character that's the same race as them
Joshua Ortiz
Whoa imaging pulling the same opinion despite the ultimate line being long gone from now, better incarnations of the character existing and a pretty good movie releasing that made him likeable and different enough to Peter but still wanking about how he doesn't fit an ultra-specific reason in which the companies involved don't really care and with actual criticism being reduced to nitpicks from a writer's run that nobody really likes
Leo Perry
>casuals not acquainted with the circumstances and nuances surrounding the character don't mind him What a concept
Jack Torres
It's because Yea Forums's first experience with Miles as a character wasn't the movie. It was several years of poorly-characterized comic book stories.
Isaac Rivera
Peter fought to death with his arch enemy after getting shot and defeating all his other main villains in a giant final battle. I was insanely climatic, I doubt you even know what anti climatic means. His planned death in Ultimatum, now that would have been an anti climatic death for Ultimate Peter
Isaac Cruz
It would be possible since Spiderman has alot of tech already but it would feel wrong I guess.
Angel Reed
Peni is right there.
Luke Kelly
Actually, there might be an interesting story in somebody inspired by Spider-Man attempting to recreate the technology for real-world use.
Adrian Johnson
Who the fuck would ever want to look cool here? I gave Bendis and Miles every chance even buying the trades to the ultimate run when superior happened and I didn't want to deal with Slotts bullshit. I liked him in the (somewhat) in the ultimate universe he had a purpose their, and you could do whatever you wanted to do to that pete and I wouldn't give a shit. Its only when secret wars shoved him into mainline continuity with no rhyme, reason or expectation to actually write him into the universe organically, just to ham handedly overlay him so he could keep the numbering to trick people into thinking he has any sort of history
Owen Cruz
That's a good point, she does have a psychic link with the spider though so would that still be counted as Super?
Liam Reed
>Who the fuck would ever want to look cool here Many anons including (You)
Jackson Williams
Miles has a personality, it’s pretty introverted though.
Ethan Parker
No super human strength or the ability to climb walls, but she does have a active Spider-sense and a psychic link with her spider which helps with piloting SP//DR.
>his planned death in ultimatum Its cute you thought there was ever a plan to kill him in that shit show. And yes the outcome of Pete finally being killed by the sinister 6 actually meant anything? How many years was he spider-man? how many characters jobbed pointlessly until peter finally "died" "killing" Norman? It was written straight out of his ass and it feels it 10 years later
Tyler Russell
Which is both technology.
Josiah Kelly
1610 Miles run was great Spider-man. His only 'bad' run was the Bendis 616 issues, and that was mostly because of the plot being unfocused combined with the constant annual events that will 'change the marvel universe forever' that 616 is prone to nowadays.
Cooper Howard
I don't know. She's basically a Newtype. I don't think it's possible to pilot SP//DR without spider reflexes or the two controllers.
I wouldn't say it was great but it wasn't actively insulting like his 616 affair has been. Literally nothing changed in his books with the transition to 616 including storylines, which seems like bullshit but then you just realize it's just bendis
Kayden Phillips
OP is wrong about Miles. He's always been and will be Pete's "diversity-hire" replacement. I'm not saying that it makes him a bad character though, it's just something that doesn't need the focus its been getting. Hooking him up with Peter's ex-gf though, that just STINKS of the whole P.P.'s sloppy seconds. Might as well hook him up with Liz, M.J. and Felicia too at that point.
Gwen also started and can't really break out of the whole "protag's gf" crap because that's what she was written as from the start. Spider-Gwen is just a tweest to get money (she's cool, and I'd love to see a BETTER solo for her, but you can't really REALLY separate her from her "SM's GF" roots. Only thing you can change, apparently is WHICH SM she's into.)
Cooper Green
Comic Miles' flaw has always been a lack of a strong and developed personality. It was forgivable in the earlier days of his presence, but after that and into his shift to Earth-616 it all went downhill.
Matthew Moore
Maybe for you, the movie made Miles actually interesting for once despite his comics being complete dogshit. Pretty much all the Spider-Verse characters have their own unique spin.
Nathan Collins
To add weight to his argument. You can't say he is racist if he is also black.
Hudson Jackson
>Marvel doesn't want to deal with supporting a new character not tied to an established name
This, marvel wanted a popular black hero character and it wanted it now, so as to fulfill their diversity front quota, they looked into popularity polls, saw spidey in a got position and decided "Hey, let's pull a netflix adaptation!", kill peter, replace him with some rando negro written by a verified cuck, prop him up real good by giving the character everything and more. Spider-man powers? All of them. Skill acquired through barely existing experience? Out of nowhere? Np, dexterity and all the other stats + experience, capped. Suit? A customized remix. Relevancy? All of it, promotion through the fucking roof. In peter's shadow? Make peter a fucking loser now lmao. Speaking of which, take both the redhaired and the blonde away from him. Nah that'll be overdoing it, let's not do that... just yet, only the blonde for now. Inconsistencies? Make a "new universe" and figure some time-space jimbaloo to tie it all up together and if anyone points further inconsistencies out or any other critique for the matter, accuse them of not reading hard enough or tell they are "rayciss haturz" who are fixated on the political aspects, that'll shut them down socially. And get bendis to write his interracial cuckery relationshit drama, that'll reel in the female and the negro/latino demographic like flies on crap.
You are seeing it, your mind, your subconscious is spelling it out to you plain and clearly, yet you refuse to acknowledge what it really is. Why would they grant spidernegro a new white girl, when the can take away from the original knowing full well that a sizable amount of the original fans would call that shit out only for them to in turn use that as a "Look we're so inclusive! But damn those rayciss whites over there, causing such a ruckus over it, can you believe it? Talk about not being a~ (((decent human bean))), right? Now buy our crap, paypigs!."
Cooper Ortiz
why are you getting offended for a fictional character
Cooper Lee
>ahmed
Surprised spiderman isn't a moslem yet. Yet. They rotate the cycle of who gets the media machine support. Although with "marvel" and now capt. "britbongstan", guess they don't want to overroach just yet.
How is their relationship going to deal with being disintegrated due to being from different universes or radioactive sperm and eggs?
Carter Taylor
The objective was propaganda. As always. You should know that at this point...
Adrian Ross
Most of the books they have any interaction in has Peter going out of his way to give a fuck about Miles and Bendis just took advantage of the fact that his fetish is finally profitable. Check out any of the avengers run that had Miles in it or the bulk of the spider men series to see how he attempted to ruin Peter to build Miles that or the brief slott arc with Pete and Tony literally fighting over who would train Miles
Leave the Mexibros alone, they've always been spider-man fans and know who the real one is. and the bulk of fans of miles I've met are literal soiboys.
Weird question, assuming you're JIDF just here to sew more dissent between the races. Do you mother fuckers have a plan for after the west falls or are you still just banking on china collapsing in on itself before it realizes the best way to stop the bulk of those billion muslims from chimping out is to stop dealing with isreal?
Samuel Peterson
>the brief slott arc with Pete and Tony literally fighting over who would train Miles
I don't see anything wrong with that.
Peter hates Tony, he doesn't want a racist alcoholic near his sidekick tech.
Michael Torres
>Do you mother fuckers have a plan for after the west falls Who says it'll fall? We'll just be in charge while brown people do all the dirty work.
Isaiah Cooper
Once the whites are bred out of existence the world will finally know peace.
So you'll literally tank the west as you tanked the middle east?
It seems it would be far more efficient to just wipe out Isreal, the middle east would actually have a chance to build itself up the the first world status it had before you fucked it all up out of spite
I assume that it brought other people with Spider-hybrid DNA rather than Peter's unique DNA signature since that is their core similarity
Daniel Carter
God there needs to be more porn of Spider sex. Fucking while clinging to walls and hanging from webs and shit.
Parker Bell
but what spider hybrid is peni? its all technological with her.
Ethan Richardson
>I can't be the only one who thinks this pairing is disrespectful to both of them?
I think it's wholly unnecessary. Why does every Hollywood male lead need to get with the main girl at the end? Sometimes there doesn't need to be a focus on the romance.
Luis Fisher
Eventually everyone will be so mixed together that racist people will have to be REALLY specific to find things to hate about other people. >"You fucking chinese/arab/italian/polynesian bitch. Caucasion/African/Scottish/Hawaiins are the master race."
Oliver Howard
Venom Blast would be fine if it was toned down in terms of potency.
Angel Adams
She still got bit which is how she formed her psychic link (at least based on the movie's sequence of events) so there's a chance that she does have some spider-y DNA.
Ryan Roberts
Would the fact that Miles can't call upon it reliably make it better? I did like that the film only had him do it like...3 times and even in the end he still didn't seem to have the hang of it.
Matthew Perez
But each time it took the opponent down hard. it needs a nerf, fuck make it like spider womans and have it be a blast just don't have it be a consistent finisher
James Baker
Who says im black?
Kayden Miller
yeah. it was more a story about peter b parker told thru the eyes of miles than a story about miles himself. i remember the first trailer looked great but that scene is the end of movie not the begining.
William Jones
You are a strange man, if I had spider powers I’d fight crime but you want to fuck girls in weird positions
