I don't. I wish that for some of his most recent work he had been paired with a better editor, though, who could have assisted him in getting his point across to the audience better. If he is telling the truth about the satirical intent of some of his more recent work, a good editor who could have given an outside perspective to his writing could have helped him make sure it was coming across the correct way. Too often in creative fields do we forget theres a reason editors exist.

His work is mostly mediocre to outright bad outside of his pre-2000s stuff.
He was a Hillary supporter and his most famous book has a whole subplot poking fun at Regan.

Most everything else he does is pretty well-liked. A lot of the other stuff can be blamed on alcoholism.

Really these are the main reasons for most actual comic people. I would also add the DKR sequels because they are absolute nonsensical garbage.
The Spirit thing doesn't bother me even as a huge fan of the character because the whole debacle is just so silly and Frank really had no right to direct a big budget film all by himself.

Some scenes were obvious jokes like the yellow paint scene and Batman calling Robin retarded but most of the rest of it seemed to be played straight in a way that is pretty in line with that era of Miller.

Batman being the edgier and having no superpowers made the "More powerful than you even without powers" dynamic inevitable, In TDKR, Batman wasn't as OP in later stories

Denny O'Neil and Neil Adams' Batman run was already doing that a decade before The Dark Knight Returns, and unlike Miller, they didn't need to turn Batman into a Mary Sue to do it.

People are unable to separate his good work from his crap work, and they follow the memehate as provided by hacks like Linkara.
They call Frank Miller sexist because he features prostitutes in some of his comics, or likes sexy women, but they never bring up how he puts strong and sexy women in the comics as well. Casey McKenna, Elektra, Martha Washington, the girls of Old Town, etc.
People who talk shit about Frank Miller don't have two brain-cells to rub together, let alone good taste in comics.

I know one guy similar to you. One time when him, a mutual friend and I were hanging together, I started describing Green Lantern to her and made specific mention how he's a weak bitch to yellow - lab puppies, buttercups, bananas, all that. The guy got legit upset at this, but didn't lose it.
I really wish GL did have a weakness to yellow. It's stupid, yet it fits.

I don´t hate him but, after passing through SC: Hell and Back, DK2 and Holy Terror, I just stopped caring about him.

Joke or no it's ironically aged extremely well against the trend of boring decompression throughout the industry.
