Lion King really falls apart near the end

At no part is Lion King's plot and setting not lying on the floor in a puddle of its own spittle.

It wasn't actually Mufasa, it was a manifestation of Simba's internal turmoil brought out in the form of his father as a way for his spirit and mind to talk to each other in a way that was entertaining to the audiences while also being symbolic. Mufasa can't tell Simba that because Simba didn't know, he can't have extra information. Rafiki says, "He lives inside you", that's a pretty big indicator that Simba was mostly talking to himself.

I'm not counting Lion Guard as canon to the world rules.

This is CNN...

>"Hakuna Matata" is literally a mantra for running away from your problems
>somehow becomes a pop culture meme

Did people not get that Timon and Pumbaa were a bad influence? Though I guess the movie muddles the message by having them go back to Pride Rock with Simba.

Nah, no worries is the best way to live,

How did this look in the "real" version?

It's easy mode for sure, but you give up being of value to the world and you give up the rewards of being valued by the world.

Spoiler: pussy for miles.

>getting additional information from a projection you inwardly create
What

>answering 'plot hole' threads made by dipshits looking for easy endorphins pointing out mistakes and starting arguments.

A catchy tune can make anything popular.

Regardless of what others are trying to say in this thread I still think it's his dad Mufasa

They tried to rip off the scene from Kimba the white lion without giving a fuck about the plot

Like this.

People noticed it now, that's why the remake had Timon and Pumbaa explicitly admitting they were wrong instead of just joining Simba in his mission like in the original movie

What the fuck

Hey the song solved their problems. Timon abandoned his 50000 children and Pumbaa was a stinky piece of shit. Without that song both would have been dead. If people didn't already get that Timon and Pumbaa were selfish assholes since their entire reason for saving him was to have their own personal bodyguard to begin with that's on them, not the song. The song was perfect and delivered a great message that literally saved all their lives until they were ready to move on.

Except that the movie failed to deliver them having to change in order to risk their lives and save Simba.

What the fuck is with this influx of humorless Redditors?

He's speaking in riddles. That's kind of the point, like a clue that will later make you go, "Oh, that's what he meant!"

>>Except that the movie failed to deliver them having to change in order to risk their lives and save Simba.

Yes it did. Did you not even see the Hula song?

>WHY ISN'T ANYONE LAUGHING AT MY DUMB heh heh plot hole much? NITPICK JOKE
>100 PEOPLE ON FACEBOOK LIKED IT, THEY TOLD ME I WAS FUNNY, REEEEEEEEE

I can barely fucking make out the face of a lion.

>Though I guess the movie muddles the message by having them go back to Pride Rock with Simba.

They did that because Disney values selling Timon and Pumbaa plushies more than they do telling a thematically satisfying story.

Timon said in the movie that he believed in putting the past behind you, which is what Simba should have been doing. But he instead misinterpreted the message as run away from your past.

In the context of the movie and not Lion King 1 1/2, Timon and Pumbaa don't run away from their past. They move on. Pumbaa doesn't run away to become a hermit and live in the desert just because people can't stand his odor, he moves on and continues to live his life happily while not caring if people can't stand his smell. Timon and Pumbaa don't stop Simba from returning home, they support him and go with him. That's why they understand the message and are good friends, not two selfish assholes who are an obstacle in Simba's life.

There no line indicating scar killed mufasa

wow Simba's face literally has no emotion. He's seeing the ghost of his fucking dead father and he looks like slightly constipated. how the fuck does this get such a high audience rating

This, technically the wildebeest killed him.
