Why was season 3 so hated?

Butch fired the writers that were actually trying to take the concept a little bit seriously (i.e. Steve Marmel) and doubled-down on making more jokes.
Because it really sucked and the ending was a huge waste of development
Fpbp
Go from the second season to the third season. There's a noticable decrease in character quality. Everyone is pretty badly flanderized and the villains are a lot less high quality then they once were.
Yeah the new villains suck compared to the old ones and the old ones only appear in group cameo or it's Skulker for the 395th time.
The show peaked with Dan Phantom, nothing would ever come close to that level of stakes.
Some had good designs, though
He should have told Sam to fuck off in front of everyoe for only caring for him when he has ghost powers
Now THAT would have been a finale
you could just tell how all the new villains were designed with the "all ghosts are actually monsters" retcon in mind
If season 3 was played straight like it was planned:
>it would have been the darkest season of DP
>Vlad Masters would have taken over the Ghost Zone and become the Ghost King
>The Fenton family would've adopted Dani
>The Fentons would've taken Vlad down together
>Dan Phantom would have been the final boss and ended the show
One of my wilder daydreams is where I win the lottery and then I buy the rights to Danny Phantom. I then proceed to reboot the series and make a 13-episode spinoff of the Ultimate Enemy.
do it
Tucker became the fucking mayor
Leadership is in his blood
the creator actually tried to buy back the show rights from nickelodeon for his streaming service. guessing that didn’t pan out, he probably wouldn’t have retconned s3 anyway.
I unironically want a reboot of this show that takes itself reasonably seriously and goes at least the tiniest bit darker
I'm surprised stuff like that doesn't happen more often. Like there's gotta be a few rich guys obsessed with animation right? I mean there's guys like that retired MLB player that made a video game studio. Or Rick Fox, a retired NBA player that got into the esports scene years ago. Or even Steve Ballmer who bought the clippers and is funding a new stadium for them.
Yeah ultimately they will probably make money but if they only wanted to make money they probably would've done something else, they genuinely like that shit and that's why they dumped so much money into it.
I want this.
He's done some 'when they are older' versions on his Youtube channel that are hilariously edgy.
Thanks, I really liked this.

Silly lyrics that mean nothing, like "Rama-lama-ding-dong" or "Give peace a chance".
