cause muppets aren't Yea Forums.

They got the muppets and a lot of the voices/puppeteers, but it takes good writing to make the muppets really come alive. People just can't reproduce what Jim Frank and the others did when the muppets were first around. They did that one movie and then most wanted but both movies didn't have 'it' like the original and even the 90's movies had. And they just butchered them for the TV show, it had some good moments and jokes but you can't make a series on only a single good moments and jokes. They realized their mistake more than halfway through the season but it couldn't save it. Last thing they did apart from the new muppet babies was a great moments in history at Disney world. They fired Whitmire because he had been doing Kermit for so long he told them he didn't think the way Kermit was being written was how Kermit would actually be along with a few other reasons, but they let him go and brought in a guy who will just do the voice and not call them out on bad writing which is why almost everything they do is lacking to put it kindly.

Muppets have always been Yea Forums, and always will be.

Nope.

The guy they brought in also plays Big Bird now.

Muppets had cartoons. Therefore, Muppets are Yea Forums.

The fuck is that purple guy?

Puppets are considered a form of animation by board rules

Wasn't he the host on Muppets Tonight?

Clifford, he was first introduced as a member of the house band for The Jim Henson Hour, and then hosted Muppets Tonight.

I thought the first movie was all right for a soft reboot, but it's clear that they didn't have any idea what to do with them after that. It may have been more due to Jason Segel's fanboy enthusiasm spilling over than anything. The new show was a disaster and completely the wrong tone.

I think he was called Zoot or something close.

Zoot is the Blue one, the other Sunglasses wearer.

The fist of the two as you said wasn't bad for a soft reboot, but still isn't anywhere near my favorite movie. It was also interesting because it was the only movie done that referenced the prior films in a canon way. But the next one they did again in the same way which didn't really work again. As they said in the opening song of Most Wanted "All we need now is a half decent plot." They also joked about the studio waiting for Tom Hanks to make Toy Story 4.

They need to go back to the original format of the films where the characters don't recognize themselves as being muppets and are just a frog and a bear kinda thing. Maybe have a few characters that know eachother, like how Gonzo and Rizo did the the 90s movies, but not that they all live together constantly like the did in From Space. It was why the Dam bits worked in Most Wanted, because he was Sam Eagle playing a cop role and not Sam Eagle playing as a muppet that everyone already knew and is normally with them. I don't think they even acknowledged knowing him at all, even though they referenced spending the last movie bringing the muppets back together.

Why do we have to do this every time? Is there some autistic fucking barney fag thread police that just has condemn muppet/puppet threads because they aren’t cape shit?

Right said.

>Rizzo
He's retired since Whitmire was fired.

Yeah, that really sucks. Especially since they fired him after he helped write the Great Moments in History at the Magic Kingdom and recorded his Kermit voice for it. And they renamed the old Pizza Planet next to Muppet Vision 3D to Rizzo's Pizza or something at Hollywood Studios.

They gave him a chance to retire and become a Disney Legend but he said no so they fored him. But they made sure they got all they could from him before it got to that point.

they're Yea Forums.
