For all we know their clothes can just change colors like Carol’s costume in her movie. But definitely at least Quill should have worn a suit.

Why? He rejected everything about Earth apart from his mother's music and he's only been back to Earth this once. He never even went to her funeral, so he's never worn a suit. Even Nebula has more ties to Earth culture at that point and would be more obliged to wear something that covers her arms.

Did he though? He sure owns a lot of Earth memorabilia for someone who rejects where he is from not just music and he still has earth heroes like Hasselhoff and Stamos. He clearly still views Earth with a fond memory, he just has no reason to return because his life is just better out of it (tech wise etc) it’s like going from a 3rd world country to a 1st world… why would you wanna go back if you don’t have to? Especially when you left at a young age.

You've missed the point if you think it's just tech wise. GOTG2 especially hammers home that without his mother he has no reason to go back - everything else (his music and nostalgic toys) he could just take with him

Yeah, I’m sure that tape deck he had installed in the Milano he just casually carried it in his backpack as a child. He clearly still collects things from earth even after he left off of whatever black markets he can find. Why do you think Yondu went out of his way to get him a Zune? Because it was from earth, he has obviously way better tech to store and listen to music, but Yondu knows how much it would have meant to Peter because it was from Earth.
