I see a lot of people talk about how a lot of magical entities and spells died. The thing is, as many might hypothetically die that way, more wild animals monsters and etc would die as both ecosystems from both dimensions would be irrevocably and permanently ravaged by the invasive species from both dimensions. Think of the instance of the cane toad in Australia. Or asian carp in America. Invasive species always spell disaster and wreak havoc on the local eco system. And there would be tons of non-native species from both dimensions competing which would most assuredly lead to a mass extinction event.

What if the spell summon real puppies and turn them into magical creatures?
If magic is gone, only real puppies would be left.

Even introducing a small number of foreign flora and fauna can quickly cause an invasive species to spread. It's why customs at airports are so strict about bringing in outside fruits, vegetables and animals and the like. Because just a few slipping by can very easily spell disaster for the local ecosystem. Nefcy seems to have stayed that both earth and mewni were fused; but even if it WAS just echo creek fused into mewni then you'd still have a ton of local flora and fauna from earth on mewni that would spell doom for a lot of native species on mewni, and vice versa. Many animals or plants living in echo creek would surely be equally effected as they effect mewni.

This unironicaly angers me because Meteora was the only one out of the four butterflies who had no idea what she was doing.
As a baby she wanted to play along her mother, Star (who we have seen on-panel she loves) and the nice lady who wanted to hold her during the vending machine scene.

For Meteora that was a weird game in which people she trusted participated; she could not possibly imagine the consequences of their actions, yet Glossaryck TOLD HER to join and none of the other three sluts stopped a baby from doing so.

She was murdering Glossaryck, the funny blue guy she loved so much and nobody warned her. It's fucking insane!

Meteora not only cried when she saw Glossaryck's broken arm, but just the idea of him being hurt again elevated her anxiety to the point she dip down without going through Mewberty.

That's how much she loved him and yet Nefcy thought it was okay to fool her into participating in his assassination.

The spells deaths aren't really hypothetical since we've seen other personifications of magic die because of the Whispering Spell.

Your right in that your scenario is whatw wpuld probably happen but they can handwave that by saying "oh, the laws of reality have changed" or "this is happy cartoon version of earth where that doesn't happen".

But they specifically established Spells as sentiant beings and showed such beings dying.
This should have crossed their mind when writing the finale.

I'm really disturbed that Glosseryck's abuse towards his kids was essentially condoned by the show.
Like I thought after they introduced Reynaldo they where going to address it and point out his role in shaping the MHC and their attitudes and essentially being responsible for how fucked up everything is.

But nope. He was right to be horrible to his kids despite doing nothing to guide them away from what he disapproved. He was right to go out of his way to hurt them rather then help.

Remember kids, if your parent is shitty towards you, it's because you're horrible and you deserve it.

The others were fucked up and didn't listen to him, but Reynaldo remained loyal to his father to the very end and was shown to agree on Meteora being the princess.

So why letting him be cursed by a dumb queen for centuries? Why abandon him just because his riddles are a bit annoying?

Reynaldo spent the last moments of his life alone, missing his family and hoping for his father and Meteora to visit again. That's freaking sad!
