Somewhat decent plot about war and interesting character dynamics with the action being serviceable but the main appeal being the characters.

There's only really two gay couples, both of adults and not really main characters, and most of the main characters are women so I don't know if that's still "woke".
Some main characters are clearly horny for others, but it's never outright said to be romantic just "I really want to be your friend".

I don't really mind gay chars or girl potags (wouldn't even bother asking about this show otherwise). wokeness in media for me is basically how aggressive are the authors with virtue signalling and shoving progressive values down the audience throat. so basically where is this show on a scale from idunno Korgoth the Barbarian and SU?

I'd say somewhere in the middle. Its messages are sort of "don't let your past traumas define you" and some "strike out on your own", general themes like that, but for the most part the focus is the characters, stopping the bad guy and where the ancient technology comes from, stuff like that.

Characterization aside, I really do not like the design for this guy, he looks so damn unthreatening and wimpy, he'd be a minor mook on the original She-Ra at best. Look at his tiny little puft of hair, he looks like he's going to get picked on by He-Man and rebel to teach a lesson about bullying.

Not really, the worldbuilding is pretty half baked, we don't go to a whole lot of different places so there's not a lot of great locations, the characters are mostly stock with a couple exceptions, notably Catra and the pair in the OP, and the vast majority don't really develop. And the action is 100 percent shit, absolute garbage action and very sub par animation in general. That said, it does try to develop its main characters, and though they're not threatening the main badguys can be entertaining. The threat never feels real and as a result you get to sit back and just enjoy them being goofballs. Its not just shipping, but that is pretty much the main focus, who's crushing on who and who gets all happy around who is the focus of a huge number of episodes.

It has lesbians and every guy is a wimpy stick of a character, and the creator really hates white guys. Openly, vocally hates them. So if you want to see a guy who could be the least bit threatening or effective, you're gonna have to go elsewhere. There's very little of that, if you want to avoid watching preachy stuff you can just skip the Bows Dad parts in the season 2 finale and you're gold.

Entrapta is one of the princess rebels but is belived ot have died during a raid so she ends up being left behind. Unfortionately, an autistic tech girl being left behind in the evil tech-advanced empire and now belieiving her friends abandoned her is easily convinced she should be working with the people who actually use tech instead of magic.

She autism's her way into the boss's lab and avoids being summarily executed by clearly showing she knows what's she's doing and pretty soon they are best friends and best ship.

They're certainly going to be, seeing as they're the ones that know the most about Horde tech and both will probably defect to the heroes when Prime reveals he's still a douche.

The show is getting better the more seasons it has.
It's like an Anti-Voltron, Voltron started strong, fell on S3 and never could go back, She-Ra had a half-assed season 1, a p decent s2 and a really good S3, and it seems like they're aiming upwards.

It was really a pleasant surprise, and I am glad Yea Forums is giving it more attention, this season was quite good and if they keep this path and make the final boss a real baddie it could actually be a great cartoon.

MTE season 3 was their strongest season and what really hooked me into the show when before I was pretty lukewarm about it.
Adora popped out when he tried opening a portal right? Not exactly sure what the deal there was since you see the purple portal, hear a baby crying and we just see Hordak walking away from the portal. It's possible he was going to abandon her but then felt pity for her, brought her in, then just fricking regret the whole thing when the baby wouldn't stop crying.

Also considering his endgoal in this cartoon it also makes sense for him not to give a shit about her when in other versions he kidnaps her (or has Skeletor do it) because he recognizes the power that she possesses and wants to utilize said power for his own devices. In this cartoon even Weaver tried telling him that she was powerful and he really just wanted her gone because she was annoying him.

That's why you have your troops raid villages and steal kids and have them deal with it. He honestly seemed like he just wanted her gone.

On one hand, I hate when bad guys get a karmic free pass. Hordak did terrible things and a "redemption sacrifice" would be insanely cool and a good conclusion to his arc.

The stakes seem to raise each season, where in season 1 the Horde was basically Team Rocket and in season 3 we had our near world ender event and the fights felt like they had weight.

the stakes are higher but the fights in season two had more weight than the ones here. The fights here devolded in talking about your feelings
