Ignoring the retcons...

Ignoring the retcons. Was it ever explained how Magneto was able to do every Xorn features like the star head and the anti mutant gene thing?

not to my knowledge, no

i think that shit being so off the wall (in addition to the shit like having a holocaust survivor use death camps) was a bi part of the reason it was retconned

I mean i like Morrison as much as the next guy, but nothing about that reveal and the entire arc was good.

Wasn't it all from the helmet

he tried to do some big shake ups and try some new things but they were pretty bad
no one is 100% all the time. and again it all being stupid weird shit was why it was retconned

no, it turns ot he was (a) Xorn all along who was fuckin nuts. convinced himself he was Magneto, did all that shit, then died
and hen because people thought that Xorn was kind of a wasted concept for a dumb twist it turns out he has a twin brother with similar powers who wasen't nuts and is an x-man now

I mean, nobody knows how his powers work. Fucking miracles.

Celestial tech nanomachines and Scarlet Witch's magic
>B-But
No shut up.

But op specifically said "ignoring the retcons ", as in Morrison was 100% into the Magneto was Xorn thing back then

>The poster Magneto is on a three quarter angle to match the camera angle

I sure hate this shit.

You know, in case you didn't get who this white haired guy was

i dont know exactly what Morrison was going for an a lof of the lore for this story arc was explained in the retcons so im mostly parroting that
but sans retcons i think the helmet was just a helmet, if theres an excuse for weird powers and OOC its likely that Magneto was getting high on some mutie super drug at the time

>convinced himself he was Magneto, did all that shit, then died
Ah, the ol' Ocelot Special.

Magnets

yes
super mutant drugs

I think he got caught up in the curse of trying to surprise the audience and like moist that get caught up in that didn't think about what people would say or ask after the twist was reveled.
I don't know why he didn't pull a Shadow King and/or Proteus returned or something on that cosmic level that still tied to Xavier. Magneto was just a poor call.

That arc was great, one of the best and the last time Magneto was relevant.

Magneto was always just a mutant version of Hitler, that arc just owned it.

BROTHER!

That’s a pretty valid comment on Israeli politics even though they’ve generally stopped at ethnic cleansing. Everyone can be Hitler as long as they get to wear the jackboots.

I mean, wasn't he in Genosha during the extermination? How did he get out of there and then put on the Xorn mask?

>it turns out he has a twin brother with similar powers who wasen't nuts and is an x-man now
That's stupid.
Comics are so stupid.

>Magneto was aight
chills

>Xavier and Charles both at one point had identical looking twins

Whoops meant "Xavier and Magneto", not "Xavier and Charles"

>Marvel and Claremont's loophole to get the retcon out about a few months or so after Xorneto's death

This is the only thing I really dislike about Morrison's X-Men run honestly.
It just screams of trying to leave a mark on the character because he didn't like that Magneto was sympathetic so he decided to try and make him irredeemable.

I mean Morrison did the same thin with Cassandra

>and hen because people thought that Xorn was kind of a wasted concept for a dumb twist it turns out he has a twin brother with similar powers who wasen't nuts and is an x-man now
Well I'm glad they did that seeing how much they've used Xorn since then.

Nanomachines.

Fuckin magnets bro.

Throw Sublime in there and I agree. That whole last bit was retarded
