How would you set up and deliver a live action Young Justice series? Who would you cast? Would there be a gimmick/catch that's unexpected?
hardmode: Based entirely on the Volume 1 era
LIVE ACTION YOUNG JUSTICE
How would we know the names or skills of any child actors? there's just the cast of stranger things, that's it.
If we ever got a live action YJ, the actors would all be teens or young adults.
The only YJ members who'd really have to be cast as actual tween kids are Impulse and Secret. You can easily get a young adult who somewhat looks interchangeable with a 15-18 year old
My idea is an early 2000s period piece action comedy about a bunch of middle school-high school aged kids butting heads while trying to save their city from corruption while most adult superheroes believe they aren't legit yet
In short, you really need to have fun with the material. I say this show is an alternate universe antithesis to DC Universe's TITANS. Where Titans is more procedural and ongoing, Young Justice would be a different situation each episode, how the characters react and interact towards the situation, and a 4 part finale that sets up more to come.
The most obvious thing is to pitch it as the comedy where handsome teens get into goofy shenanahins while trying to be the best heroes of their world. Like a Doom Patrol, but way more cheeky
Dacre Montgomery as Superboy
There, it'll be a hit day one
Casting based on looks and tv knowledge because percentage of Yea Forums doesn't do contemporary non-cape , non-toon television
Levi Miller as Tim Drake
Merit Leighton as Wondergirl (Cassie)
Brighton Sharbino as Arrowette
Ross Lynch as Superboy
Cory Gruter-Andrew as Impulse
In this day an age, someone has to go gay. Who would it be?
Bump for intrest
Everyone, user. Everyone will be gay.
Miles Brown as Impulse. Same bursting energy and quick spirit.
The little kid as Impulse? I know he can dance and play naive like he did on Blackish but isn’t he like too young?
Also
>Implying a black Barry Allen
He's the perfect age now. And Barry would be played by Grant Dustin. They'd just handwave any racial differences as an adoption/future marriages.
So you’re thinking of doing a CW Young Justice show and not a DC Universe or syfy exclusive. If we’ve learned from Aroow, Flash, and Supergirl, the show will either deflate after 2 seasons or go in a drastic direction afterwards
Even Red Tornado?
But in all honesty, the v1 roster needs to make a 100% comeback. The transition from YJ to Teen Titans was so drastic and dumb. A live action v1 series could renew interest to this cast. Heck, an animated series would do the same
>heck
Fuck off
Heck off nigger
>Season 1: Meet the boys
>Season 2: Meet the girls
>Season 3: World without grown ups
>Season 4: Sins of youth
>Season 5: Young Justice expansion
>Season 6: Superboy and Impulse face a bad future
>Season 7: Apokalypse and farewell to Secret
>Season 8: Graduation
Would the Teen Titans exist in this show’s world? Like a metaphorical sibling rivalry between an older and younger superhero team, or would YJ be soloing the series?
Here's an idea, 2 arcs per season. I don't like the CW treatment of 20+ episodes about 1 plot, so we cut the episodes to like 14-16 episodes, with 4-8 episodes about 1 plot and 4-8 episodes for another. I'd also move season 7's storyline to season 4, especially since season 1 and 2 could easily be merged.
Sure, I'd love to see the brotherly love of Dick and Tim
