Is it really best to avoid this movie if I love the first one?
Is it really best to avoid this movie if I love the first one?
I would
YES.
It was really that bad huh? I heard the ending is awful and really puts a sour taste of the whole franchise/
Vanellope goes Turbo, but it's totally fine this time because reasons
The disney princesses love Vanellope because she wears clothes they sell and see on human avatars. They're also super badasses who don't need no man
I swear they cut a scene where Vanellope gets judged because they set it up and then did nothing with it.
>wir2 thread
and yes, avoid it like the plague
that must have happened right?
That's a very odd sentiment considering that by all indications every character has a default appearance but can swap clothing if they want. The first film not only has the wedding scene, but the bar scene implies that Zangief has gotten naked at Tapper's.
Also the real issue is that large parts of the film are little more than Disney stroking its own dick.
Consider that the guy who made the first one quit Disney after the second one was made.
Yes. People use the phrase "soulless" to describe movies from time to time and I've always thought it was a meaningless buzzword but this movie embodies the term soulless like you wouldn't believe. My gf and I watched it in theaters and after it ended we were just shocked at how much worse it was than the first and how it didn't have to happen at all, think the drop in quality from How to Train Your Dragon 1 to 2. Also they just completely hand-waved the whole Penelope can't leave her game plot point of the first movie. Didn't even have one sentence to explain how she could leave the game. It is just so bad it borders on the obscene how someone could release this movie and think it's ok after making Wreck it Ralph. You feel nothing for one single character in the movie. Nothing. If you saw this movie it would taint how much you enjoyed the first one. Avoid it like the plague.
TFW you go with sister and a friend to see the movie opening week, everyone loves it, call brother who also saw it with his family (wife and 3 kids) all of who loved it and then excitedly jumping on Yea Forums just to see hate thread after hate thread. Nonstop, day after day after day.
All I can say is if you go with the expectation of it being bad it's probably going to be bad. While I'd love to waste a few hours defending the movie here I'm burnt out on that, opening week was crazy here. SO much hate. Every single day a new hate thread. The hivemind was in full force. Still is. At least we had some nice positive waifu-fagging threads for the princesses.
If nothing else you should watch it just so you can be apart of the hivemind. And MAYBE you might like it since it's actually incredibly cute and fun.
But I did watch it and I didn't like it.
What do you want me to do? Pretend to like it just to be contrarian against people who didn't like it?
The setting wasn't as charming as the first one and its' character arks were weaker.
Pretty much this all that was hoped and wanted for a sequel was buried so Disney can strut its cock in front of every about all the different franchises they made glad it cost them an award with Spiderverse.
Is Ready Player One but even more shallow.
Aww my bad, you already saw the movie and was simply outrage farming. Carry on then, sorry to waste your time. Disregard my post.
Next time try using actual arguments rather than trying to appeal to some kind of "u will be a rebel free thinker!" bullshit.
He never claimed to be OP. Nice try tho.
I've argued against every single point (a whole whopping 3 or 4 of them repeated over and over) countless times already since last November. Look man, if Yea Forums hivemind says something is garbage, good luck having any meaningful discussion on "Yea Forums". This movie only exists here for criticizing and waifufagging the princesses. You just can't like it, several anons have tried with threads like "It wasn't that bad" or "I liked it" but every time they get shot down by freaking hate-mobs. If everyone had a unique argument that'd be one thing but it's always "KING CANDY DID NOTHING WRONG" or "GIRLS CAN GET AWAY WITH ANYTHING" and more of the same over and over and over.
What am I even doing arguing STILL!? Peace.
user, who is not OP, is telling you that they did watch the movie and didn't like it. They express that they are not going to pretend to like it when they did not.
Differing opinions are not hivemind, and like opinions are not hivemind. This platform is a congregation of opinions, where, obviously, the ones who liked it don't care about arguing, or are to afraid to.
It had some good moments but it was a very strange entry considering I didn't expect the first one to spawn a sequel. It did feel un-focused. Like three plots going at once.
>they just completely hand-waved the whole Penelope can't leave her game plot point of the first movie
They explain it in the first movie, King Candy had messed with Vanellope's code resulting in her not being able to leave the game. Once she was fixed she could leave.
>At least we had some nice positive waifu-fagging threads for the princesses.
Taht's all you got in defense of the movie? masturbating to princesses aged down to 14 years old while with your little sister?
The post credit scene has Ralph doing the rick roll so there is that...
>Also they just completely hand-waved the whole Penelope can't leave her game plot point of the first movie. Didn't even have one sentence to explain how she could leave the game
I'm pretty sure she was at the wedding at the end of the first one
The first movie was my all time favorite Disney flick. After seeing the sequel, I can't watch the original anymore without feeling bad.
don't lie to me. the only princesses that get mentioned are all the 3d ones. all the others are tossed out.
Maybe it was.
Patched together from several abandoned or partially finished scriped?
hola reddit!
just pretend it doesn't exist like the jj/disney mary sue abominations.
this
it felt like the broken arcade wheel, slaughter race infatuation, anxiety virus ralphs, and disney jerking itself off with the princesses were all completely different plots haphazardly and jarringly stitched together
