Speaking of fics has anyone here read The Loop?
It's a decently popular Gumball fic about a groundhog day like scenario and it's really good at first but good GOD does it get boring
I'm already on chapter fucking TWENTY EIGHT and you'd think it's almost finished but it has fucking 39 chapters and I really wanna know what happens but fuck I also wanna kill myself. It's literally the lenght of a novel.

Give me a quick run

Keep in mind this was written back in season 1 and updated all the way to I think 2017 because some powerful autism compelled the author to write it. So it has season 1 stuff like peanut Penny and DarwinXRachel
Gumball has a real bad day where a couple of key events happen:
First his mom finds one of her antique China plates which he broke last night getting a cookie and decided to try to glue together instead of just admitting to fucking up (like Anais told him to). Anais and his mom are mad at him.
Then his dad gets a new tie which he fails to compliment him on and it makes him sad because Gumball came off as sarcastic about it.
Then at class he gets a C on a report he and Darwin were working on for weeks, but Darwin somehow gets an F. They find out it's because Gumball accidentally forgot to put Darwin's name on their report and now Darwin is pissed at him
At lunch Carrie (who is strongly implied to have a huge secret crush on Gumball) comes to ask him to help her eat chocolate cake (which she has always wanted to). Gumball rightfully refuses and leaves a sad Carrie behind as he decides to excuse himself out.
Then he goes to the library to work and takes some milk from the cafeteria (as Carrie prompted him to leave before finishing). He trips on a book which causes him to spill the milk over a computer, setting it aflame and making it fly around the library like a missile, ruining a bunch of students' works.
He gets detention and now cannot attend the Pep Fest, an event where he promised to see Penny cheer. When he gets there after the Fest's over Penny says she understands but she's clearly bummed out that he wasn't there for her
He is grounded over the detention and goes to sleep crying because a bunch of accidents made everyone mad at him
That's chapter 1

Next day, Gumball wakes up and sees everything's happening the same. He discovers he has the "infinity" symbol on his shoulder, which marks "The Loop". Apparently to escape he needs to fix something, as the world is giving him a "second chance". Over months repeating the same day he starts going crazy, but it doesn't matter if he fixes everything 100% or if he swallows rat poison amd kills himself in front of the school, the loop still doesn't break. Sometimes between a loop he has strange dreams giving him clues before waking up on bed again.
Now I thought it would have something to do with Carrie's cake since that's the one thing he never properly "fixes" in any day (as he gets angrier he sometimes bullies her by eating the cake himself and stuff), but I guess I'll never know because fuck reading 11 more chapters of this. It gets somewhat pretentious and really fucking slow later on
