Is there ANY weight to the claim that this show is already dead and canned and just being dumped? I really wouldn't want that to be true. I want to know how many islanders used to be humans themselves and what other islands there are.
"Dark side to something cute" may have been done many times, but this is one of my favorite examples of it in a very long time. This delightful goofy world that may in fact be one big trap for people who want to get away from life is fascinating, especially how they actually just keep living there and seem pretty happy, like it's not as if they're being eaten or anything. It's just a different life, for better or worse.

3 seems good, this season seemed to end with small cracks being chipped into Reggie's way of thinking about adulthood, but ultimately she didn't really budge. Season 2 would probably be more ultimately challenging to her and slightly more accepting to the growing up idea. And then 3 would have her finally embracing growing up in the end
Season 1 took place between fall and spring. You see the seasons change during it. That’s about 4 or so months. My guess is that they intend for her to actually turn 13 during the show.

Butt Witch is a representation of puberty, that means that while she's completely unpleasant at first (i.e Zits and Mood swings), she's not outright EVIL and even has a lot of good qualities once you get to know her (sexuality and romance).
