So this plot went nowhere

So this plot went nowhere.

>Comedy show having plot

Lore was a fucking mistake.

Honestly, I feel like nothing really goes anywhere in the show. I was pyched when it came out, but everything about it ended up disappointing, boring and ugly to look at, wacky style intentional or not.

Did have a legit interesting gay couple (pacifist monk and ultra violent soldier) but they did fuck all with them.

yeah but the school girls and uniforms were hot as fuck so it wasn't a total loss

The only good thing about this show is the black vampire mom.
Well ok I guess the Sibella guest star was good too.

Where were you hoping it would go?

>went nowhere
There was nowhere for it to go.
Glorbs aren't inherently evil, so there is no reason for heroes to use them too.
The brief saga of Foxtail mass-collecting the glorbs was addressed.
Plus, there is going to be an origin story for them, I'm sure.

Up my ass.

*no reason for heroes NOT to use them too.

>Plus, there is going to be an origin story for them, I'm sure.
They better do it soon. There aren't many episodes left in the season, and I believe this will be the last season.

Won't be the last time

You dope, what about a secret society in a school run by Chip Damage, who is revealed to be an android hologram, which leads to all the 'glorbs' shit and the S2 finale, is 'going nowhere'? Just because you didn't watch the show doesn't mean it didn't go on without you.

The entire show is an aimless endeavor like SU.

It makes a joke out of the "lore". Let Adventure Times influence fucking die

I don't think you're supposed to take the lore seriously. Sure, there are multi-episode arcs, but the bulk of the show is meant to be episodic.

Of course it went no where. That wouldn't have been a problem if it were actually fun, but any episodes centered around Enid inevitably becomes boring. Once she went to Point Prep, I skipped every episode about her being there because I knew it would suck.

Even having seen Chipped Damage I don't feel like I've missed anything.

Are there any episodes that aren't skipable? Feels like you can jump around the whole series and watch whatever unless it's a multipart story.

just like the show in general

SU has more of a plot than OK KO, it's just delivered really badly. Despite how much they fought the plot progression it eventually caught up to SU when the show wasn't going to be renewed for another season they had the finale, wrapping-up the plot as much as they could. Actual plot progressing got enough interest in the show for it to be renewed, so they have to make-up a new villain.

Not really. The show has no plot, like most shows before there was a drive to turn everything into a soap opera just to bait people into seeing the next episode. The only real problem is that OK KO has no plot, but continuity, so seeing the episodes out of order is more confusing than it needs to be. Like when Darryl took over Boxmore and then almost immediately lost control.

The villain is specifically for the movie, the plot of SU was always about Steven's growth. The gem war and space stuff is just a nice backdrop. KO is all about superheroes so you'd think it'd be easy to make a plot about that.

>villain is specifically for the movie
Yeah, but there's been lots of talk about the series getting renewed for another season. People don't watch the show for the townie episodes, which is basically all it'd be without any sort of villain. Pink Jenny is going to be introduced in the movie, which will basically just be a pilot for another season. I guarantee it.

KO is about a kid working at a convenience store with an unnecessary superhero theme. It's not that they can't make a plot about it, just that there never really was any intention to outside of some lore to make the world seem bigger than it actually is. It's as much about superheroes as Spongebob is about life under the sea.

I think nine seasons of SU was the goal overall, but otherwise I've no clue what'll happen beyond Jasper having a large role. Exciting either way.

Does the USA Even make good cartoons anymore?
Last I remember was Avatar the Last airbender

Didn't it have former people who worked on Adventure Time working on it?

If so then I'm not sure what you expected.

Avatar was about as good as a mediocre shonen anime, but gets a lot of praise just for having a serialized story, which is basically part of every manchild's prerequisite for what they consider a "good" cartoon.

you know, I go so far and say that OK KO is a worse cartoon than Teen Titans Go. At least TTGo is made by people who know they make awful jokes because they know what an awful joke actually is, the animation is freaking consistent and at least once in a while there is a good episode.

It had an interesting world building and good characters, not a bad plot either, I would put it to a 7.5, but after that, what other cartoons are good?

Honestly I just watch it for Boxman.
