from what the charts suggests shit really went sideways once he got access to the genetics of the Omegas, once he had the best of the best the muties were worthless to him

If your talking about powers of x it said on page that the xmen leadership was dead or lost when sinister came on board. At the end after he was finished it mentions that in hindsight sinister probably caused that on purpose.
