She's younger than Korra, so it would have been impossible.

The whole ceremony where Jinora received her tattoos was probably my favorite scene in Korra. The new generation stepping forward as Korra watches with mixed emotions, injured but slowly realizing that the world will keep on turning with or without her.

Thought it was a shame that Jinora didn't get much of a chance to shine in the final season, but I guess she had already helped win the prior two.
