tomorrow....
What is this?
It's looking pretty certain that tomorrow will be the unveiling of the new Universal park (Fantastic Worlds according to leaks)
Announcement for Universal Orlando
Something better than those faggy Disney parks
>Epcot that high
Both Epcot and MGM have no real reason to exist.
>HOW DO YOU DO
>MIGHTY PLEASANT GREETIN'
>HOW DO YOU DO
>SAY IT WHEN YOU'RE MEETIN'
>HOW DO YOU DO
>WITH EVERY ONE REPEATIN'
>PRETTY GOOD SURE AS YOU'RE BORN
>WHAT GOES UP IS SURE TO COME DOWN
>A PENNY LOST IS A PENNY FOUND
>HOW DO YOU DO
>AND YOU HOWDY BACK
>A LITTLE BIT OF THIS AND A LITTLE BIT OF THAT
>HOW DO YOU DO
>FINE, HOW ARE YOU
>HOW YOU COME ON
>PRETTY GOOD SURE AS YOU'RE BORN
Based
For me it's the Chick Fil A next to Vista Way
For me, it's the music in the Space Mountain line.
Absolutely fucking based
Do they still use that or is it just SW shit?
It's a WDW only music track. WDW's is the one Space Mountain that hasn't had Star Wars crap shoved into it.
They removed the kino Jules Verne theming from DLP for shitty asteroids then Star Wars. It's annoying as fuck.
>Gets urges for Chick-Fil-A on a Sunday
>remembers they're closed on Sundays
You can hear snippits of it on the DLR version as well if your ride vehicle has to wait for a bit to get back into the loading era.
That was removed long before Star Wars was added
Mission 2 was when they removed it. No idea why
At least Mission 2 had the sequel angle of "The Baltimore Gun Club's shooting stuff into other space locations now that they've mastered Moon travel", but the supernova just wasn't interesting enough.
>did both DL and DW Space Mountains
>thought that DLs was much dippier
>watch lights on vids
>DW has constant dips, DL has a couple at most
Was it just me forgetting or does the higher speed and non-bobsled cars make it feel more intense?
Combine that with the dark as well. Makes it feel like it's more intense than it actually is.
And it better stay that way.
That's the truest pain.
>it better stay that way
It will. Same mentality as not changing Haunted Mansion to the holiday varrient
Visited Galaxy's Edge for the first time at Disneyland and was quite pleased. There's lots of nice details in the area and several impressive vistas, and I really like how its broken into a "city" and "outskirts" area, although the outskirts could use a few more points of interest.
I took two laps on Smugglers Run, first engineer, then right side pilots. Both were entertaining, but I'd be lying if I said the second ride wasn't a massive improvement. This is the biggest problem, that the best experience isn't always guaranteed, but I thought it was a solid attraction overall. I do really like "game" rides, so if you don't, it'll probably be much less interesting to you.
I'm not a Star Wars fan, and was approaching this new area as simply a theme park fan. I like that they made a new cohesive location instead of a scattershot movie-studio collage of different Star Wars landmarks, although focusing on one existing planet like Tatooine could've worked. If you're big on classic Star Wars, you may be disappointed, but judging it solely as a theme park fan and nothing else, I liked it a lot.
Is there any way to get the position you want on the ride? Or is it completely random?
Here's a question. How do we improve Epcot?
It's just been kinda spinning its wheels for decades which considering it was Walt's last big project before his death is pretty shit.
I'd personally love a Cranium Command reboot, but I don't think that will ever happen.
>focusing on one existing planet like Tatooine could've worked.
Yeah, but then you'd have no shady trees that'd be ideal for a hot California/Florida environment.
If they really do announce a Universal Monsters section I'll be hyped.
Random assignment by cast members via job cards, though you can talk among your group and see if they're interested in trading jobs. First time I rode, I got R. Pilot (and had to fly the damn thing on my own). Got the gunner position by a CM the next time around, only to be talked back into piloting by the group that was with me.
>they're finally removing Innoventions' corpse and demolishing it
>Wonders of Life is going to be Pixar Pier 2.0
>Guardians of the Galaxy coaster
It's dead Jim
When I was there, it seemed to be based on the position in the line. They isolate the group of six, and then hand out pilots, gunners, and engineers in order of entry to the room. Queuing for the second try, I was debating whether or not to ask for pilot, but I ended up being right behind a group of six and thus entered the room first and got pilot. You can of course switch with others afterwards if they're willing. I was with someone who's visually impaired, and she gave her pilot card to someone else in our group.
So nothing then?
>Guardians of the Galaxy coaster
I don't even really understand how this is going to work. Same with the Mickey ride M&M is going to have
It's too far gone, it's not edutainment anymore it's just gonna be a regular theme park.
>Guardians
I'm hoping it will be like the Mummy and be a Dark Ride/Coaster fusion with the end being a dogfight through space
Oh, they will.
Got it, thanks. I'd really like to be pilot just due to my own history with Star Wars so hopefully I can get that to work out.
Awww yeah, let's hope they do the year round Haunted House and bring back Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue along with the coasters!
To be honest, nobody outside of park nerds gave a shit about the "edutainment" aspect, and Animal Kingdom handled that far better if only because it's an actual zoo.
I mean is Epcot gonna do? Open a legitimate museum and spend God knows however much on priceless artifacts from their respective countries? Have Ford or whoever show mechanics of a car on a daily basis? Have NASA open a bar?
Their ips are what's going to get people in the parks. And frankly. I don't really mind Guardians that much.
You can't. Even SeaWorld, a park BUILT on edutainment and sightseeing (technically circus performing and fountain shows as well), has turned to 90% mindless thrill ride trite. The easy answer to why there isn't any new "niché" or "original" rides/themings is "making money" or that "people are stupid"- which is true when it comes to tourists- but, regardless, Universal-type big-name rides are here to stay.
If it were somehow possible to push all the Hollywood Studios crap out and keep it at least slightly original, one idea is that they could do what Animal Kingdom did and piggyback off of some of their films to aid in theming (i.e. The Lion King for Planet Watch)- and to help "revitalize" the lands as Iger might call it.
Innoventions was alright, just an expo showing off new shit would still keep to the idea of Epcot being a eternal world's fair
The uniform grain pattern and relatively straight blurring, as well as the distinct lack of digital artifacts strongly hints that this is fake- but I'll give it the benefit of a doubt by saying that a "Monster" section is possible- not classic- just a "Monster" section, potentially tied into to the failed Dark Universe in some way shape or form.
I hate fucking Brazilians
It's finally time
Damn, they're really that bad? I've never noticed any particular groups of obnoxious tourists over here in DL, worst I've ever got is some cocksucker slamming into me with his kid's stroller. Any horror stories?
>Japan has a temporary Godzilla vs Evangelion ride
>We'll never get that shit in the states
Why even live?
When your a kid:
Magic Kingdom > Animal Kingdom > MGM > Typhoon Lagoon > Blizzard Beach > Epcot
When your an adult:
Animal Kingdom > MGM > Epcot > Typhoon Lagoon > Blizzard Beach > Magic Kingdom
theres so many good rides and places in the kingdom, but holy fuck is it way too packed
I've not been to Animal Kingdom yet. Why do people rate it so high?
Every area gets a ride unique to that area whether it be a rollercoaster, a VR experience like Soarin', or a slow track ride like haunted mansion, related to the history of that area.
The overall theme and theming is disney at it's peak. Where other parks don't really have a theme or lose themselves like Magic Kingdom and MGM do. Animal Kingdom remains grounded in an overall theme of the Savannah. Although the Avatar shit exists, I find that it's only there because disney needed space and MGM didn't have it. So it's a compromise disney had to make, but even then the theming never truly loses itself in over the top shit and is still grounded in the mystic wonders of the earth.
They travel in roaming hordes, like a typical pack numbers about from twenty to a hundred
Here's the thing, it isn't the 60s anymore. Most modern tech companies have their own shows to premiere their products leaving Epcot with demos at best.
Unless Disney did something really drastic, why would they bother with Epcot when they have their own things to showcase whatever gizmo is in the works?
IMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGINAAAAAAAAAATION
IMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGINAAAAAAAAAATION
>shade in GR: Florida
lol
Epcot was built in the 80s dude but I get your point, I guess I'm just nostalgic for an era I could never be a part of
I'll repost my thoughts as a cast member from a Yea Forums thread I made about going to the Cast Expo in Hollywood Studios yesterday:
Green Milk is just a citrus smoothie, I wish they gave me a spoon to eat it with.
Jawa Juice at Oga's Canteen is literally just pineapple juice.
Everything (buildings, props, ships) looks like the same cheap plastic.
No shade, no signs, everyone will get lost.
Turn a corner and Toy Story Land is RIGHT THERE. no transition.
Not allowed to wear Jedi Robes if you're over 14.
No one big store, but a bunch of tiny little ones.
Got served some sort of cold meatball and vegetable puree at Hangar 17, not very tasty.
>Smuggler's Run
No Hondo animatonic, the Millennium Falcon waiting area before you board has nothing to do, even the chess board looks like it has buttons to press but they don't move. The ride itself is worse than Star Tours. I was pilot, and they paired me with one gunner, that was it (normally there is 2 pilots, 2 engineers, and 2 gunners. I could only steer left/right, and the controls were like trying to steer a car on ice. With one gunner we also took a lot of damage and weren't able to get the second container of hyperspace fuel.
One last thing: I hate the themed language. Star Wars has never been about dumb sayings aside from "Use the Force" and the like (which not one person said). Every CM there would not stop saying "may the spires keep you" and "by the twin suns" and whatnot.
Batuu is offensively "Not Tatooinee" they've got the same architecture, moisture converters, blue milk, etc. But of course it'd not Tatooinee it's the new trilogy.
shit I forgot to add, every shop is 1 item per guest per shop
>no Hondo animatronic
Last minute addition or he'll just not be there
They will definitely add him. One thing that was AGRESSIVELY hammered home is that they will be exactly the same between the parks
Then, what's the point of visiting it in another park if they're completely identical?
WDW is getting Rise of the Resistance first. so, $$$
for me it was the wendys
>no signs
ive heard a few complaints about this from the dl land
There isn't. They wanted to avoid people going to one park over the other for galaxies edge
Oh right, I forgot about jewry
Sounds really cool, I'm excited to see it.
The Hondo animatronic was the main reason I wanted to go on that ride, they better get it.
So the idea is to make sure there isn't a shift from one park to another
its a spinning coaster with screens
its probably just not finished yet
Pretty much. The idea is that nobody takes a vacation to Disney Land instead of world just because it has one more animatronic, which some autists 100 percent will do
Having been to the DL version, he is seriously fucking cool. If you squint he looks like a live actor.
I was think about Galaxy's Edge and how sequel-trilogy focused it is. When it occurred to me that the land in itself is really not actually all that sequel-trilogy-specific.
To me it seems like Disney almost may have been thinking that if in 10 years or so they need to convert the land back to an Original Trilogy themed land they could -- the land theming itself is just generic star wars-y so that wouldn't changed. But all you'd need to do is:
-Smuggler's Run: Re-do voice over with Harrison Ford soundalike (probably John Armstrong since he already does Han for the Star Wars video games), and replace replace Hondo animatronic with Han. The underlying animatronic could stay the same, just need to replace the outer layer. Or if Han's too uncanny, replace it with Chewie and just have Han on video and audio.
-Rise of the Resistance: Rename to Rise of the Rebellion
-Same for rest of land, replace all instances of "Resistance" with "Rebellion", and "First Order" with "Empire".
-RotR: Replace Poe with Wedge, repaint X-wing to not be black
-Replace all instances of Kylo Ren (in the land and in RotR) with Darth Vader. Again, for the ride, keep the same exact animatronics, just re-record dialog. Would need to re-do Kylo's to look like Vader's TIE (but again it's already so similar it would be easy)
...
That's it. Now you have "Star Wars Land" but set in the OT era.
I 100 percent agree with this and its probably the direction they will eventually go with it.
We will have to see though. There would be more than a few merchandising complications
The trick is finding engaging ways to approach the material and make an immersive or inspiring experience out of it. Living Seas had that whole multiple phase effort to immerse you into the idea of going to a SeaLab, the earliest plans for Mission Space had the idea of a pre-show ride taking you up to a big space station and letting you go on different adventures from there like a space walk or planetary excursion. Hell, even though the movies aged poorly, Universe of Energy had a following just for the dinosaur sequence and Imagineers had proposals to keep the dinosaurs and just build a "Deep Time/History of Life" ride in the theaters it was sandwiched between.
Galaxy Brain Take: The Sequel Trilogy is overly derivative of the Original Trilogy specifically because they wanted to make it easy for the theme park land to convert to another time period if deemed necessary.
Nah that was all jjs fault. We always knew that
wheres the lie?
Knoebles is based
One of the imagineers straight up said it was designed so it could be changed as movies came out. That's not admitting they could backpedal to the OT but you know they had it in mind as they were designing it.
for sure
It's the end of the world as we know it
visitkingsisland.com
>After that "Don't go into the shed" Mystic Timbers business, I don't really feel much emotion for "What's behind the fence?" Hopefully, it won't be just another ridiculous big-screen TV with a very unterrifying YouTube video of a skeleton, snake, or spider and an unnecessarily long wait in the dissatisfying, non-scary last stop to get back to the start so you can get off the ride. MT is a fun coaster, but building up that shed only led to severe disappointment
based comment
Yeah it was disappointing af
At the very least it'll be a giga so
Stop going to Disney parks you pedophile millenials
Why have Animal Kingdom that high?
It's the least "theme park-y" theme park at Disney World.
Didn't know Yea Forums stood for Disney.
As a hard working, married man.
No, fuck you. I don't even like the rides but the shops, the streets, and the themes are cool as fuck.
Theres a fucking barbershop, candy shop, and a tailor shop in the magic kingdom that most people pass by cause they don't know it's there.
Because it's immersive as fuck.
>1 item per guest per shop
I'm shocked. For the Star Wars area (in WDW of all places), you'd think they'd want people to buy 2 or 3 items, to "maximize profits" or whatever.
Not a pedo, but I enjoy the momentary escapism of my otherwise shitty existence as much as the next person, if only for a day or so.
It would've made sense considering the anticipated crowds (which never materialized). Though in retrospect, considering all the issues that took place at DLR (I'm looking at you, black kyber crystals) maybe it's for the best.
What happened with the black kyber Crystal
In general, there's been issues keeping shit in stock over at DL. Sabacc Decks, Loth Cats, and the white and yellow kyber crystals have proven to be exceptionally popular. Even the fucking silverware from Docking Bay 7 was being targeted for scalping. As far as the black crystals are concerned, they were originally implemented as a mystery reward hidden inside some of the red crystal packaging. Once word got out there existed, some people went to pretty extreme methods to secure one ranging from camping out inside Dok Ondar's (preventing others from getting in) to direct altercations with CMs. As a result, kyber crystals have been moved to behind the cashiers, who have the final say in which crystal you get from the shelves. There's also talk that you can only get additional kybers if you buy a holocron, or that the black ones have been permanently retired, but I can't seem to verify that on my end so you can take that one with a grain of salt.
>nice, non-trashy employees
>good food
>faggots btfo
I dare you to find one flaw.
The "Kybers only come with a Holocron" thing is apparently a means of spreading out depleted stock. They took the restriction off again briefly when another shipment of Kybers came in, but apparently they already have to wait for September for more crystals to come in.
You know what's actually weird? People who bring kids to Disney that are too young to get anything out of it.
If I ever was filthy fucking rich, I would build a huge park entirely based on the style of 80s EPCOT/Tomorrowland.
youtube.com
I don't get why they chose a stock image with college kids as if there's still an expectation to be filled to burst with children at age 20.
>enter second college program
>get vista way
>"sweet I'm close to Chic Fil A"
>get sick within first few weeks of the program
>get better
>heading back from disney heritage class
>feel a bit nauseated
>get chic fil a
>throw up and shit the next day due to stomach virus
>but because I threw up chic fil a all I associate it with now it a stomach virus
>can never eat chic fil a again
>go to golden corral down the road instead
you know what I find weird? shitty parents who get worked up about their kid not being tall enough to go on a ride even though the kid could care less.
I miss him. I need to dig out my old slides again and rescan them.
Pretty good, but this is the real shit:
youtube.com
>Launch Control, this is Space Venture. Radio IS on

NOWWWWW APPROACHINGGG
reminds me of when I found a torrent a couple of years ago for like 5 gigs of music from Disney theme parks
I can hear it in my head
T land has a kino soundtrack
For me its merida
youtube.com
Still my favorite music loop in the parks, and on a recent trip to DL, even the somewhat lousy state of our Tomorrowland couldn't keep me from cracking a smile when the music faded in from leaving Main Street.
Although later that day, it dawned on me for the first time that this whole loop is basically "remember all the cool stuff that's gone and not replaced/updated now?", which is a bit depressing. People are saying the Fantasyland update is coming first, but I think that's dumb. Fantasyland looks perfect, Tomorrowland needs attention sooner.
Lmao that article was just written by some lady thats just mad she had kids when she was like 20 and never got to live the sweet childless life
>that new intamin coaster at bgw
How much downtime should we expect?
Upcoming new ride announcements this month:
Universal (Possibly the new gate) - Today
Holiday World - 6th
California's Great America - 8th
Silver Dollar City - 13th
Kings Island (Potential giga) - 15th
Disney D23 park announcements - 25th
Six Flags overall park announcements - 29th
What did they mean by this?
10 more minutes, Yea Forums
Livestream anywhere?
Nah, we'll just have to follow a few social medias.
Here's a few:

Soon
Meet Epic Universe, Universal's next park gate
It's called Epic Universe
twitter.com
Why do theme park execs refuse to let these parks have actually good names?
I like Fantastic Worlds
Post god tier instrumental music from rides or queues.
Universal's Epic Universe just sounds really redundant.
It looks pretty good
14,000 workers and $15 minimum salary
Disney BTFO

RIDES I WANT RIDE NAMES
They said we ain't getting much today.
Which is bullshit, since they're bringing in many executives and state officials.
We'll probably get a few ride names
I just want a proper Universal Monsters themed land
There's a large ass coaster tentative at least
Hopefully the upload the full image so we can see any potential lands
This isn’t opening until when like 2023? Disney will have hit 15 an hour by then. This might spur them to up it be competitive, but they’ll probably be complacent and not bother.
Yeah, nothing in the picture screams shit like Nintendo or Dreamworks to me, although I can make out a hotel in the back, that sounds interesting, I don't think any park in the US has an in park hotel
It's going to be massive
Speak of the devil, the just posted a hi res.
Epcot is supposed to have a hotel being built pretty much right in the entrance area.
And the Star Wars hotel will basically be right there at Studios. It’s only yards away.
Looks like that's all they will be saying, they specifically won't mention lands or a opening date
Get to work cracking the hints boys
Parts of the left look a little like the huts from the DK Coaster, but I don't see much resembling the main Mario area.
Jesus fuck that seems excessive.
Do they really want to overshadow Universal like that?
Then what the fuck do they think they point of any of this is
The purple section in the far left is Far Far Away and we’re finally getting a Shrek land.
But seriously, besides Nintendo, what are the odds of getting a park with very limited IPs, and primarily original rides?
I'm leaning towards that portion being the Mario portion, but they are making it look a little generic as to not give away any park themes
I think the purple might be the Universal Monsters land with Dracula's castle.
I know there's been rumors for a while that Universal has been pursuing the Middle Earth rights.
>spooky Dracula’s castle dark ride
>it’s all screens
Please Universal, I beg you, give us some animatronics and set design
Post your guesses, boys.
One last tidbit is tat they are "pushing for the new train from South Florida to have a stop at the Convention Center, which is near Universal’s Epic Universe."
I assume this means the high-speed train Virgin is making from Miami to Orlando
The coaster at the bottom looks like it has two tracks? Could we possibly get another dueling coaster? With extra decapitations?
>High-speed Virgin train
So a Yea Forums bus?
Come to think of it, this doesn't look like it can fill 500 acres. So they'll probably use that land for other shit, too
Here's the existing land they're gonna use.
It's a bad name
then stop and found other shit skin to fuck
>still no Nintendo park
Fortnite land. bus seats 100 people but never returns.
A rough overlay
Not open on Sundays
might as well eat plastic and shit if you're gonna eat at golden corral user,
How do you fuckers manage to afford going to Disney World all the time? I want to go, but when you factor in tickets, hotel, and flights, that's at least $2500. And that's not even counting food and shopping.
I always skip Animal Kingdom. Meh
I have the same issue with the Bellagio over in Vegas.
>All the time
I go about once every 5 years, save the year that I worked there
You don't need to go excessively to be a fan
A lot of posters live in California where you can just drive an hour to Land and spend a day for 200 bucks.
You're exactly right. I predict it won't even be 3 years before it gets converted.
Absolutely based and phoenixpilled.
Oh dang that's nice. I know it's probably a crazy simple effect but I absolutely adore those "star windows" in the line.
Essentially this same with Disney World. There are discounts for Florida residents all the time hence why I've been there so often.
>being poor
But me personally, I bought an annual pass last year right before I moved from Florida, so I could keep the Florida rate. I work in hotels, so I get rooms cheap. I plan short trips around times when there are cheap flights. So the most I spend is typically food and merch, and those are discounted bc of my AP, and I honestly don’t tend to eat much anyway.
Like, I’m going on GE opening weekend for four days. My flight round trip is 200, my main hotel is about 150 for the stay that’s very close to property, and I have 1 night at the Swan for 80 dollars so I can walk over to Studios opening day. If I didn’t have those opportunities, I wouldn’t go nearly as often.
Goddamn, Universal is BTFOing everything and everyone again
>bored at work so started looking up theme park stuff
>apparently Club Cool is closing this year
god damn it
Going in, cooling down and trying a bunch of drinks for free was great.
So it's gonna be a monorail away like MK?
The logo is kinda Vernes-esque, maybe we’ll some fantastical form of transport between Epic and Citywalk. Too bad they can’t add another station to the Hogwarts Express.
touringplans.com
>"Though not confirmed, Universal has hinted they are working with Virgin Rail to add a stop to the Orange County Convention Center and the new park.
Club Cool ain't shutting down, just moving somewhere else
I don't trust this, at all
where?
Better image without the cropped section. Here's the things I've noticed:
The duelling coaster appears to be single launch and given by the size of the turns and drops on one side to the other, it's going to be incredibly fast. Would make sense for that to be a HTTYD coaster although it's vague if it's in the Dreamworks land or central.
Family coaster next to it looks to be pretty long and go into multiple buildings and tunnels. Starts off high but there are very few drops... inverted coaster?
Next to that is a dark ride hidden by clouds. Could be HTTYD (if the dueling coaster isn't) or Kung Fu Panda.
Water ride next to that looks like a water battle ride
Octagon in the center has a twisting river next to it. Rapids ride?
There are no obvious ride buildings in the Universal Monsters area but there is a big path leading to a castle like building. Dark ride and the artists forgot to put the rest of the ride building in?
Fantastic beats building is very large and appears to be multi-segmented in a way that none of the others are. Possible a large indoor area in addition to 1 or more rides.
All the lands have significant expansion space, guess they've learnt from IoA
Well, they tweeted it, and then deleted it. And never spoke of it again, so they're doing something.
Also, weren't we supposed to know of whatever's replacing T2 by now?
Also, the ride building for Kong Koaster seems pretty narrow, it's going to be a compact layout. Hope it isn't another Steel wild mouse layout.
We don't know, it'll probably reopen with the rest of EPCOT's renovations
I really hope Innoventions finally reopens and doesn't just get used as more character space
This. When my girlfriend and I went in January of last year, during the fireworks we sat behind this couple and their toddler. The toddler was watching a video on a tablet instead of the fireworks, and when the parents took it away, the toddler started screaming so they gave it the tablet back.
Why would you spend thousands of dollars to bring your 2-5 year old to Disney, when all it's gonna do is watch shitty kid videos on a tablet instead of the fireworks show?
The article literally cites "millennial ruining Disney world" as "my child wanted a pretzel and the line was too long and I saw a millennial girl eating one so that upset me"
Baby Boomers are fucking retarded, man
>been super into theme park history and design ever since I went back to WDW with my girlfriend
>recently work and general life has kept me from enjoying that interest, as I've been too busy to do anything but work, eat and sleep
>finally get some free time and decide to browse Yea Forums for the first time in months

fucking love epcot music
Better than my dead end Job
Currently or past?
Either
I never really cared for Test Track's original music. It just sounded like a shitty PS1 game. youtube.com
That is such a "second song on the credits of a kids film" tune.
Holy shit it is
speaking of thrill ride songs:
youtube.com
On the subject of Merlin parks, Graham Smart's work in general is pretty great
Turns out, some people don't need to fly to reach Disney. In all seriousness though, I live about a 8.5 hour drive from WDW so I can make a weekend trip, plus I have family in St. Cloud so I usually don't have to pay for a hotel. It's maybe a once a year thing at most though.
How to into college program?
I've signed up for it, but I have no idea how it works other than that. Do they just have it available at some point?
What's the best moderate resort?
>Nintendo World takes off
>this motivates Toho to go forward with allowing Uni to make a full on Monster Island
>Godzilla, Pokemon, Mario, Harry Potter, and Universal Monsters in one park
I'd cum
This.
>went to EPCOT in early 2010's
>they had fucking PS2 demos set up in Innoventions
Having a permanent worlds fair is a novel idea and all but it's just not practical nowadays. Best they lean into timeless stuff like Imagination and The Land and whatnot rather than trying to keep up with modern tech.
Drinking at Oga's Cantina at the moment here in Florida.
I dunno. It still sounds like a decent idea. You'd think plenty of companies would love to show off their cutting edge technology at Disney. It really boils down to Disney making a good pitch to companies. It wouldn't even be expensive, given that you're just pitching to tech companies to show off themselves. It just needs someone working on the parks with vision. Sadly they don't seem to have that.
>No Hondo animatonic
I'm calling bullshit
I assume that'll just be for CM previews because that makes no fucking sense otherwise
Guessing it's just not installed yet
Any cute Twi'leks walking around?
I got off Smugglers a few hours ago at Hollywood and he was running fine. And I like all the little shops. You got the big three the Jedi/Sith shop, the Droid shop and the First Order shop. Then there's a bunch of specialty hole in the walls.
Sadly, no. It's a xeno sausagefest out here.
they dont even have the droids they said would be roaming
none of them because I can't even look at these without feeling fucking nauseous with all the fucking Disney shit all over the place attacking my eyes like an insincere motherfucker. I'll take any other park that isn't part of Disney hell thank you very much
It's seasonal so you probably won't hear back until the beginning of next season.
Expect a phone interview at some point. If I were you I'd ask on the college program Reddit page
were your parents shot outside a movie theater or something?
>Super Nintendo World
>Universal Monsters World
>big gap in between for adding Pokemon and Zelda later
Kino
>reddit
fuck no, even if it is useful i refuse to go to that hellhole
but thank you for the advice
Then ask one of the Facebook pages. You are going to want help from people who are currently in the program. These kinds of sources were what made it possible for me
N-no...
>Epic Universe will never have a Godzilla ride
>Sadly, no. It's a xeno sausagefest out here.
Whoa. They already got Alien stuff? I thought the acquisition of Fox just finalized.
Godzilla's appeared at USJ and Toho works closely with the Pokemon franchise. Legendary is owned by WB, who's licensed properties to Uni before to great success.
Not to mention how Universalhas Kong.
It's at the least very possible.
Must be some bad motivators going around.
It’s not popular enough here to have a new ride in the US
The new movie was pure distilled Godzilla and it flopped
What went wrong with Galaxys Edge? It’s so damn disappointing that I have no idea what they were thinking
Opening without both rides instead of just manning up and delaying
>just want a black kyber crystal to have as a souvenir without all the other junk or buying it on ebay
>probably will never see the black crystals again
>have to buy holocron for even one type
I sure hope that this arrangement isn't permanent. I'd just be fine with grabbing another color like purple or whatever but this is pretty bull.
Is Universal Japan worth going to if you're a weeaboo? My siblings are interested.
What's the deal with the crystals? What do they do? Is it different per color?
This.
Apparently the dark ride is fucking great, but it's pointless now. The section's name has forever been sullied because they chased a quick buck instead of delaying.
>opened without the big trademark ride
>budget cuts to the shows and “interactive adventure” element
>food isn’t very inspired, scarcity issues on things people actually want
>no music outside of the bar
They could fix it up fairly easily but the fact is it probably shouldn’t have opened so early.
They're designed to work with the lightsabers from Savi's Workshop and the holocrons from Dok Ondar's. In the case of the former, they are completely interchangeable and can change the color of the blade when switched on. In the latter, they play a voice clip associated with one or more characters from throughout the franchise who had that color saber on their person. Red, Blue, Green, and Violet are your choices for the savi saber, but they also sell White and Yellow crystals at Dok Ondar's (as well as the black crystals mentioned elsewhere in the thread). The audio played is apparently a stock clip, though they did make an original line for Ahsoka (white crystal) regarding her former master.
The holocrons function with and without the crystals. You can also get additional effects by putting the wrong crystal into a holocron (jedi crystal in a sith holocron) and/or putting a sith and jedi holocron together.
The tldr is that they're basically multi purpose computer chips that do different things based on color in the build your own lightsabers and holocrons.
Essentially when put in holocrons they have different voice messages and the holocron lights up with that respective color. Different colors have different characters though some colors can have multiple different characters ie red crystals can have kylo ren or darth vader etc though there's no way to tell which voice you'd get until you put it in.
For light sabers, a crystal lights it up with it's respective color (sans the black which just gives it a red blade) and each color has different sound effects, some are more noticeable than others.
As an add-on, possible voices:
Blue: ANH Obi Wan, TLJ Luke
Green: Yoda (multiple lines), ROTJ Luke, Qui-Gon
Purple: Windu (multiple lines)
White: Rebels-era Ahsoka, Chirriut (Rogue One)
Yellow: Maz Kanata, Jedi Temple Guard
Red: Vader (multiple lines), Rebels-era Maul, RotS Palpatine, Count Dooku
Black: Supreme Leader Snoke
Also, touching holocrons gets you Bendu, Yoda and Sheev are used for putting holocrons in the wrong crystal, and default voices for an empty Holocron are Obi-Wan's message from Rebels for the Jedi Holocron and Darth Bane for the Sith one.
>Disney including things not from Disney-wars
You wish
yellow really gets the short end
>darth bane
thats a big holocron
Food sucks confirmed. Thought I was getting shrimp yakisoba but got garbage salad instead. Nothing a little Jet Juice couldn't cure.
Oh it's all there. Galaxy's Edge may be set during the Sequels, but it pulls from fucking everywhere.
Considering the color it produces on the savi saber, you'd think it would have something for TCW era Ahsoka since it's that shade of yellow.
I heard the ronto wrap and the lava roll are good
I'd allow it only if they bring over this

>that cg
yuck
I wish i was rich enough to build something immersive but original
if you're just visiting the park this weekend is there any possible way to get into Galaxy's Edge Florida?
Don't pretend like shit CG isn't the norm for theme park attractions
Jurassic World the ride just opening and everyone is talking abut how amazingly convincing the only screen portion of the ride is. There is zero excuse for that low level of CG in anything ever.
its only in cast previews so not unless you know someone that works there
I live in the state of Jew York, so I will never experience a Disney park in my lifetime. Not much of lost with star wars and capeshit taking over and blacks fighting in toontown.
Pfft as if. Most vacation goers won't give a fuck
>Sorry son, we aren't going to star wars land because it got too little traffic when it opened
And those people are retards who are high on the mere idea of a "new" Jurassic World ride.
The CG isn't good user, I've yet to see a ride that does have decent CG, with Star Tours probably being the best, damning with faint praise notwithstanding.
Nothing like a crisp thermal detonator to beat the heat.
Needs more pop rocks for that to happen, Mr. Trips.
>planes dont exist
Have you actually been on it though, or are you judging it based on ride cam videos like fucking yesterworld did before his big rant on it?
Considering it's New York, no planes would be understandable.
Are you fucking retarded, that's where I fly out of whenever I go someplace
I am too poor to afford to buy a whole plane.
Yes, and maybe I'm just a bitter nostalgiafag, but I wan't blown away and the parts I did enjoy were just the parts from the old ride.

Daily reminder that these are just repurposed Christmas ornament bottles.
And? Were you expecting Coke to create a brand new bottle construction and production line just for Disney? Granted, the demand actually exists for them to do so but it'd still be a pointless move economically.
This. I don't know why people are acting like this is some sort of negative thing
Just goes to show the stretches people will go to just to be outraged over ANYTHING
Plus it's keeping with the Star Wars propmaking aesthetic of gluing random shit together to make things look futuristic. Like how Star Destroyers and the Death Star were a fuckton of modelkits and Battleship game parts stuck together or how the Phantom Menace comlinks were women's electric razors.
Tbdesu, I was hoping there would be no earth sodas, and they had only original drinks. Like how Wizarding World doesn’t sell coke inside the land
That actually would be a great move to make, and it'd also allow Coke to test flavors for wide distribution.
>We get this in America
>It's the Netflix cast
That sounds like a Universal thing to do
Bump
Good.
In retrospect, I can only imagine the hubbub if they tried a new bottled beverage exclusive to the area. I mean, if they were willing to swipe and scalp the sporks, then one can only imagine how they'd handle the bottled drinks if they weren't repurposed.
How do I win Smuggler's Run?
Pilot: Try not to crash, boost/break when prompted, and help the others line up with their targets
Gunners: Shoot stuff when prompted
Engineers: Repair shit ASAP, and reel in that second crate.
IIRC, the ride lasts longer if you damage the Falcon enough to mess up the hyperdrive.
Which pilot controls the boost/break?
I think they should’ve just made s good park instead of one that will be “updatable” which means the rides will be closed for months before they’re done with redesigns not to mention have they should’ve made more rides and attractions
Left pilot has the boost and the brakes. Right pilot has the easiest access to the hyperdrive, which also needs to be operated. That's the basic set-up unless there's only one pilot, who will end up responsible for everything pilot-related.
So what you're saying is it's my brother's fault we crashed. Thank you, I can sleep better tonight.
Fuck you too user

It takes years to build a park. Plus it wouldn’t surprise me if there was an issue with one or two of the IPs.

Ha. Decent point. Star Wars designers kitbashed a ton of props to make the guns and ships of the series. I always think of Han Solo's gun made from a bunch of gun parts from old pistol props.
NuWars or not, 12 year old me would have loved this shit. Too bad I gave up on Star Wars after seeing the prequels in high school and college. Seeing my older cousin's kids grow up on those films and the new ones is kinda odd.

Didn't Robin Williams voice him?
>I don't think Sheev enjoys flash. You think a guy that can shoot lightning wouldn't mind bright lights.
hmm.. I don't think Sheev enjoys flash. You think a guy that can shoot lightning wouldn't mind bright lights.
Robin voiced the startlingly similar-looking Timekeeper, who came first. Tom Morrow was voiced by Nathan Lane, most recognizable Disney-wise as Timon.
I'm seeing it was Nathan Lane.
Meanwhile.. speaking of Robin Williams... His favorite anime was on display in Epcot when I was there. Clearly Disney knows who best girl is.
Oh huh, probably used the same mold/animatronic
>NGE exhibit
>the kawaii exhibit
>selling manga at Japan
I knew Epcot was for weebs
Looking more into it, that's exactly the case, although Tom wore a lab coat and had a slightly different chestplate shape. Unfortunately I was never able to see Timekeeper, it closed before my first and so far only visit to WDW.
Also, The Land is comfy as fuck.
Japan is so comfy.
Whoops. Kinda posted these out of order. Oh well.
and I think this is the last resized Star Wars Weekend one I have
Oh hell. I might as well post when I was attacked by the Cantina band when they were drunk on blue milk.
Neat, it's like how the recycled all the animatronics from America Sings into Splash Mountain
Yeah, Epcot just has that vibe.
Now which one is Ventress, user?
Oh God, their mouths' look like assholes
Back when they used to have it, the tonal contrast between Kitchen Kabaret/Food Rocks and Living with the Land was staggering. One of the most serious, grounded, "real" rides in the park, and then this:
youtube.com
The original song by "Excess" at about 8:40 is a pretty sick jam.
I admit I still got kinda choked up seeing this.
The completely bald one in blue in Ventress. Does that count as EU? Does she still count as canon?
Good job and yup. They're both canon.
>$385 million worldwide against production budget of $170–200 million
that doesn't seem too bad
>It is estimated the film would have needed to gross $550–600 million in order to break-even
oh
like Star Tours 2
Epcot has had tone problems for a while.
Well, I wasn't saying the example I posted was bad. A sparkling city of the future shouldn't be devoid of humor, surely Dreamfinder would agree.
Why doesn't Disney add animationic dinosaurs to Animal Kingdom as an exhibit since Universal only sees the JP franchise as a horror thrill ride instead of utopia?
They already have a Dinosaur ride
Plus Universal also have a popular animatronic dinosaur thing
For Yoda and Vader, the variations are one with quotes and one that works like a magic 8-ball (saying equivalents of yes, no, maybe, and try again).
I'll be there for Halloween time, I'm hoping we get some sort of Halloween decor no matter how minor but deep down I know they won't do anything for that area.
Halloween is an earth holiday
That fat space jew who imported coca cola could import some fucking pumpkins
>No Godzilla x Pacific Rim ride
>mfw that pre-98 Tomorrowland footage
This drives me crazy. I'm generally whatever on ride changes, but I really miss "Your party from Saturn has arrived, please give them a rong."
The old TTA narration fit so nicely into the "real alien community" narrative 94 MK Tomorrowland used.

Were the Streets of America and the Tram Tour a joke to you?
Was the Tram reused for Star Wars?
Wait, are you saying that it is superior to completely shut down rides?

And suddenly, I'm reminded that the original tram did have a BSG sequence.
I'm saying it gave Universal a head start

There's a rumor that they're getting rid of the Land and the Sea pavillions, including all the rides except Soarin'
Epcot>Magic Kingdom>Animal Kingdom>MGM Studios
>now Russi Taylor's handprints have the same meaning
Fuck
The Dinosaur area really needs a makeover. I wish they'd reuse the scrapped concept of it being a digging site for a university, which included a roller coaster going through a dig site, so you'd be riding through huge dinosaur fossils and scaffolding and stuff
So what is this?
Kalypso, Candy and Tiny are almost guaranteed not to appear as walk around charters but a perv can hope.
I don't understand why their second choice was DK of all things
Like don't get me wrong Donkey Kong is cool but why is that what their leading with, why no Zelda or Pokemon or even Metroid
Minecart coaster is a good idea for a ride.
Fits in better with the Mario aesthetic.
Could be a licensing thing. Since DK is in the same universe as Mario, that was probably easier for them to get.
>metroid ride
Don't toy with my emotions with hypotheticals!
forgot image
In America, Donkey Kong is a household name like Mario and Pokemon but without the fuckery that working with The Pokemon Company entails.
Nowadays Zelda games are more well known among vidya people, but your grandma can probably name Donkey Kong. She doesn't know who Ganondorf is.
Metroid is really cool and if it gets into any of the Universal parks it'll be America but it's never been a huge franchise.
Universal Japan is starting with Mario and Zelda while Hollywood and Florida are getting donged iirc.
There's also been rumors that Nintendo is gearing up for a revitilization of the DK brand and this is probably a major part of that. Wouldn't put a ton of stock into it, but worth mentioning.
Donkey Kong is probably more conducive to a park than Zelda. It's easier to make rides based on it and build a familiar looking land, especially when the Zelda setting is constantly changing with each new game.
I'm fine with Sea getting removed, but I hope they keep Living with the Land in some form.
What would they even replace them with anyway? Sea already had IP shoehorned in with Nemo.
DK’s been getting revitalized ever since Returns. Good time to be a Dong fan.
Tom made that shit up for clicks. It's cheaper to overlay or reuse infrastructure then fucking tear down and start over and saving money when possible is Chapek's MO.
I still believe he didn't make up the Country Bears and ETR rumors and that the ETR redesign is still happening
The Zelda aesthetic changes with every game
>metriod
They want to draw a mainstream audience
Why do you believe that?
Overlays/animatronic show replacements are easy and inexpensive to produce and apparently Country Bears has been eyed for bad updates for a while now, with one of the more recent rejected pitches supposedly being "A-Bear-ican Idol" or something. Woody's Round-Up being shoehorned into Country Bears sounds like something that'd make sense in this shitty timeline.
Meanwhile, The Land is like a five acre complex not even counting Soarin' and is the most popular Future World dining spot between the food court and the revolving restaurant. Plus you have that new film coming to the theater. And Tom says that it's being razed to the ground without offering an IP reason why.
>Plus you have that new film coming to the theater
?
Awesome Planet. Awkwardly titled exploration of Earth's ecosystems with some ILM provided space animation. Apparently all the new Epcot films including the new Circlevision China and Canada movies are debuting in January as part of Festival of the Arts.
That was shot down a while ago
Country Bears was said to be internally debated whether to replace it or not (probably leading up to D23), which they decided to keep for several factors. Disney clearly is annoying with his blog and took the piss twice, but why would they specifically target these rumors when other rumors have been made before? Did it hit too close?
They never deconfirmed the Moana rumors. They said the ETR wasn't going away, which his blog post never said they were. It was said to be a cheap reskin adding Moana to the existing ride, which if you know Disney now is their thing and makes sense for the Moana incorporation without breaking the bank. Especially officially saying "We’re constantly evolving our stories" and "Although we won’t address every rumor" feeds this as way more likely to me then if they didn't touch that blog post
DK ties in well with Mario, Zelda and Pokemon will be big and need their own hype
They always have that wig and incorporate it in the Japan pavilion display case for every theme they go through. From the yoki exhibit to the kawaii exhibit.
>cm friend who went to the dhs preview of star wars says the blue milk was good
Ive literally heard maybe 2 people that liked it at disneyland did they change it?
Where'd they get that wig? Is it official? Did they get it off some random teen?Is it still there?
>tfw at walt disney world and gonna leave on the magic express tonight to orlando airport
I don't know why, but leaving disney hurts my soul everytime.
You should consider yourself lucky you were able to go in the first place. Being a Yuropoor is suffering.
Hope you had fun user.
>Literally having to take a 10/15 minute driver to your other park.
well fuck, it would be cool if they could make a train like hogwarts express between the parks but the logistics of building that between 2 major highways and roads/buildings seems impossible even if they were to go underground.
While Donkey Kong's a household name, most people will probably walk into that section thinking: "Why the fuck is the Donkey Kong area a jungle? Where are the purple steel girders and blue ladders?"
It's fun, but the only way to get to universal/seaworld is to take a gypsie taxi driver and they are huge cunts.

Yeah, a mine cart ride practically makes itself, whereas Zelda is a bit harder. You could take some inspiration from Indiana Jones with a dungeon ride, but what would the vehicles even be?
Calling it now, the stage next to Monster Land is a revival of the Beetlejuice show.
No it'll be Bill and Ted
They shut down the monorail at my state zoo because nobody rode it.
Monorails are old and busted and unpopular
Out of curiosity, has anyone here ever gotten a haircut on Main Street? What’s it like? Just seems kinda crazy to me to go to Disney for a haircut.

Honestly as far as weeb stuff. It is not really that prevalent. They do turn one of their coasters into an anime be ride though. It was NGE when I went. I liked USJ mostly because of the older stuff like Jaws, Terminator, and original Jurrassic Park.

>building underground in Florida
It'd be far, far easier to run a light rail line.
Fun fact, back when DEP was in MK, that float was always five seconds away from nearly running over people, because it can’t break for shit, and if the final hill, up to the end gate at splash, was even slightly wet, there was a good chance it would just roll backwards and run over everyone. It constantly needed the tug to pull it over that last bit because it’s so unwieldy.
Tangled Float in FoF is the actual best float.
Plusses:
You can do what you want, do all the kiddie shit, don't do all the kiddie shit, whatever.
No pressure, you can chill somewhere and just soak in the atmosphere if you want, you can just keep looping around space shit Earth in the evening for a rest.
Single rider queues (don't do single rider for any harry potter rides at universal, the queues are amazing and you skip a preshow at gringotts).
Ride attendants don't give a shit. Lots of people go alone. More people go to a park and sometimes split up because they don't want to do a particular ride with an hour queue.
Cast members at role-playing restaurants apparently interact a bit more with solo diners (this could also be a negative, but then why the fuck would you eat at one of the interactive restaurants if you don't want to interact?)
Negatives
It's fun seeing other people's reactions and talking about rides
Pressure from friends/family.
Sudden extreme loneliness can kick in which sucks although this probably depends on your mental well being and situation.
If you usually share costs evenly on holiday, going alone will probably cost 30-50% more due to loads of things being priced for 2-4 people.
I'd love to see them update the electrical parade with modern lighting tech.
They won't though, they only dust off the floats whenever there's a gap in their big light projection shows.
Assuming they don't wreck the floats in the process.
>get a good position for the night show 30 minutes before it starts.
>look forward to getting a good view
>person in front of you holds up their huge phone over their heads blocking your view
Thanks for being an arse just so you can get a terrible out of focus, overexposed video.
The trick is to wear clothes that are light and breathable, but still cover enough that you don't have to worry about sunburn over large parts of your body. I was at WDW all day in June wearing jeans, a tshirt, and undershirt and never once had a problem with heat or sweat, and only had to stop to apply sunscreen 3 times. Just remember to drink plenty of water, which is the main thing that wrecks people. The parks are so large that unless you're standing right next to them screaming toddlers will fly under your radar and anyone who has dealt with kids before has no problem ignoring it. While they do kinda jew you on snacks, most actual eating establishments in Disney have comparable prices to the quality of food you'd get outside the park. And everyone knows that waiting in the standby lines is only for early in the morning/skipping the fireworks, killing time while waiting for something else, or second or third-tier stuff you personally enjoy. I did standby for Mine Carts, Big Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain last time and waited for less than an hour in line for each.
They should really just copy Tokyo's Dreamlights.
well theres paint the night but disney seems content to let it set in storage
kino medieval park
for Zelda the best choice would be the Hyrule castle and some elements from BOTW
i want a Duck Hunt and Splatoon VR attraction
Damn that's good.
Premixed drinks in general fucking suck.
It really only works if its something frozen.
Plus I heard Green and Blue Milk taste like shit.
Where my pongu pongu bros at?
based night blossom chad
>We get a Toy Story Mania type ride but with the NES Zapper/Super Scope games
Would be kino
>Mr incredible vs Hercules
>Elsa vs Frozone
>Buzz vs Baby Jack Jack
the incredible cast are too OP
>bought annual pass
>2-3 times a year buy a round trip ticket from New York for ~$200
>crash on my friends couch who works at WDW, check out the park with him when he's off duty.
I make $62k/year and paid off my student loan debt so it's doable for now. Just going to milk this for as long as I can, or until I get bored of visiting.
i would go only if i can eat with Fujiko
big lack of tits but if she wants i can date her
Would be better as a screens/physical blend like that Justice League Six Flags ride or this Sesame Street one in Spain.
Like you have the ducks on a screen and figures of the dog pop up when you hit or miss them.
>6$ for a drop of alcohol
no thanks i will take the basedmilk
>"It's a $500m dollar showstopper"
>"you've got $20m"
And then it gets cut down to five just before the first week of operations
the six flags justice league ride is awesome
Not having Clone Wars Anakin is an absolute waste. Especially since he's the only one on that list who canonically had a training holocron.
>Star Wars land
>Uses an invented language you have to translate around the land
>Direct cipher to English
>"X" is a △
>Have ships called X-Wings, which have crossed wings, despite the fact that the letter X is now a triangle
???
Just use English signs, you stupid fucks.
>Here's a question. How do we improve Epcot?
Stop overcharging on Booze
Actually not Disney's fault, Aurebesh has been in use since the early 90s when one of the tabletop RPG writers decided to turn that alien glyphs from Return of the Jedi into a complete alphabet.
They later established that the regular alphabet exists in Star Wars too, but it's called "High Galactic"
open a maid cafe
I hate to say it, but the thing thats making Epcot more dated is the lack of rides. The entire thing is supposed to be a worlds fair, but the purpose of a worlds fair is to also ride and check out various new inventions.
>epcot will always be the booze park to normies
Having another castle might be too samey when there's already Peach's AND Bowser's Castle, but a Zelda area would definitely be the most likely land, though I have no idea what would be a fitting Zelda ride aside from I guess a dark ride, but that seems a bit generic.
Looking at the free space next to Super Nintendo World I'd wager they have enough space for two more lands, so I wonder what the fourth would be. Kind of a shame to have each land based on only one franchise when they have so many that could work really well in theme park rides.
dont forget hogwarts castle
the should do a kirby air ride
>Looking at the free space next to Super Nintendo World I'd wager they have enough space for two more lands, so I wonder what the fourth would be.
I'm hoping for a combined Metroid/Star Fox/F-Zero themed area. An F-Zero coaster in particular would be great.
I'm in the UK, managed to do 2 weeks Universal and Disney for about £1300 ($1700ish) including park tickets, car hire, hotels, flights and spending money. You can definitely get the cost down. Staying outside of Disney alone will save you $400 and staying at an ultra budget hotel will save another $100-200
I'm on £28k a year, paying off large loans, can afford to go every other year without sacrificing lifestyle.
Zelda is rumoured as a Phase 2 ride.
Go into a ruined temple of time, watch a show of some kind, exit into a fully restored temple of time. There's a patent floating around showing the new type of theatre for it.
well, whats the deep lore of dino land?
Yeah, I thought of a general sci-fi/space area as well. Have a Metroid shooter dark ride and a Star Fox coaster with on-board audio of the crew talking to you with an obligatory DO A BARREL ROLL right before actually doing one. Hell, you could even get Kirby in there if you really wanted to, although I think Kirby isn't popular enough in the west to get its own ride.
wdwradio.com
>Star fox coaster with on board audio barrel roll
exactly what i want
The land Dinoland is built on was found to be ripe with fossils during the 40s, attracting tourists and scientists, alike, leading to the founding of the Dino Institute. The Dino Institute eventually broadened their focus to chronic tech leading to your ride on Dinosaur. Chester and Hester, down the road, wanted to cash in on the tourism, and built a slapdash tacky carnival. Primeval Whirl is their version of a “time travel” ride.
for me its pirates
Those ones with the golden frame on the right are awesome. Do you know what the set is called?
cant find what its called or a picture of the box but its all marc davis concept art and theres 8 in the set
Getting close
>universal aren't going to reveal their rides until Epic Universe is almost ready to open
>all the unveilings will get spoilt but a slow dribble of leaks
Feels bad man. They should have done a full on unveiling show instead of a corporate minded presentation.
I doubt everything for it is set at this point its not gonna open till like 2023
I didn't need to know specific rides at this point, but at least the themes of the different lands. Some of them are pretty obvious like Super Nintendo World, but the others are pure speculation and rumors so it would be great to have some form of confirmation.
We need more theme park memes
the rumours around universal (aside from Fantastic Worlds which was a far better name...) have been pretty bang on the money so far, I wouldn't expect them to be wrong.
Fantastic Beasts and Universal monsters seem to fit the revealed map. The 'dreamworks' section has a ride building covered in clouds which could be either Kung fu panda or HTTYD.
Only thing to catch everyone by surprise is that the central hub seems to have at least 3 major rides, including what seems to be an ultra high speed launched racing coaster.
>you get on the F-Zero coaster
>halfway through, Kirby shows up and says hai
>rest of the ride is F-Zero/Air Ride crossover
Nintendo and Monsters are pretty much a lock, because earlier this year someone leaked a concept pic confirming the monsters area which matches with the new art. HP also seems like a no-brainer, though what exact area it is is up in the air.
I'm mostly curious about the "HTTYD" area and if it's mostly HTTYD or a mix of a bunch of Dreamworks stuff
Haven't seen the monsters concept art. Do you have it?
The map shows a path leading up to a big castle structure to that's probably the major ride of the area (no ride building behind it but that could be poetic licence by the artist).
Doh, found it, tried to post it and it's already in this thread..
They did. the tinker bell float is the youngest float in the parader, and several other floats joined it after, I remember wondering why Elliot was gon and replaced with ... crap I forget which one. but you also gotta remember MSEP is a legacy thing, they don't WANT to update it cause that's what people are looking forward to.
barf
Collecting pins are worse thsn a black tar heroin "collection".
>watch a show of some kind
something like this please Nintendo
youtube.com
and why is that?
Kirby would be best as a kiddy ride like
NEW THREAD GUYS.
Just for future reference, we usually let it go for a day or so before starting up again
Keeping good with the mods and all. Up to see if we can get another one going though
