I enoyed homestuck. I even enjoyed the epilogue. the only parts of homestuck I didnt like was (vriska) and meenah shit and how the epilogue makes it more open ended
I found the (Vriska) stuff interesting. The epilogues weren't truly 'epilogues'. I reckon they were a springboard to 'Homestuck 2.0'.
no I meant dead vriska and meenah bonding culminating in thenm rolling down a hill and making out during retcon quest. those were the first homestuck updates I remember disliking.
I think a lot of people disliked that stuff. I found it interesting, from a writing standpoint, that a character basically degenerated in terms of character development, yet found greater happiness (ish).
By the way, what's this about the mods deleting these threads? Where's the hsg? Should I have posted these pictures there instead?
actually it was vriska actually developing for once. she had gotten over her cycle of needing to be relevant and had found happiness. she had realized needing the spotlight never got her anything but dead and letting it go was a valid option. then vriska came and shit all over it and her. and ruined the end of the comic. and her reward was candy hell which lets be honest here shes gonna escape from. if anything had more mass than the supermassive black hole of callies personality its vriska...s ego
That's spot on. I thought of her as degenerating because she seemed weaker in some way, like in the fortitude of her heart, if that doesn't sound too cheesy. She was flimsier but happier, and I've never seen that kind of character development before.
I just take degenerating as bad because honestly her learning to let go is a good thing. the villains like english, doc, dirk, and hussie all needed to control everything because they were important. vriska realizing "I might not be relavent but thats ok because I have someone who loves me" was good development for someone in homestuck to have
Mhm, I meant to stop using that word, but I forgot to. You are correct though in your analysis. In general, I think (Vriska), Rose becoming a drunk, and Terezi getting her vision back would all have been good writing and intriguing developments had they not occurred in the mess that was Act 6. We usually see positive character development, and Rose and Terezi did not develop positively (through I agree (Vriska) did).
i actually thought terezis arc was handled well agree about rose though
There are two threads up right now. Jannie nukes incoming.
The colors in Homestuck were so fucking good. I'm not sure how such a mash of highly saturated contrasting colors worked so well, but it did. Hussie should have become a colorist. He missed is true calling.
didnt he patent some kind off app that dealt with colors that was used in hospitals or something
His dad did
