Who is the best Superhero girlfriend?

I think you've got the two best right there, Lois lane is the final proof to superman that humanity is worth defending and Mary Jane needs spider-man as much as he needs her.

wonder woman

Lana Kent

MJ. Lois wasn't a very good girlfriend.
Lois is best wife, MJ takes second on that.

MJ was a great wife and gf

just because lois makes up her shitty gf ways in by being a better wife doesn't make her the better of the 2

>implying Lois doesn't got that mom bod

A more obscure pick, but I'm giving it to Steff.

MJ owns that look.

She got that mom bod, but people sem to forget MJ is literally a model

Yes, that's why I separated the two categories. You yourself said
>just because lois makes up her shitty gf ways in by being a better wife
>better wife

a better wife than gf

not a better wife than mj as a wife

that's too much titty for a supermodel

Lois Lane

>Lois lane is the final proof to superman that humanity is worth defending
Yeah but that's basically just due to shoddy writing

MJ. Because Lois is Superman's wife.

You know, I've always wondered why superheroes don't just date superheroines. In anime, usually the girl has powers too (Or the hero simply doesn't bother with a secret identity, since his powers are now his whole life).

Like, it just makes sense that you'd date someone who understands what you're going through. Dating a high-maintenance woman who would (reasonably) think you're a flake sounds like a recipe for disaster.

While not western, I think Hibiki and Miku from Symphogear have my favorite superhero-girlfriend dynamic.

In comics, the girlfriend character usually only serves one of three roles: as a source of drama because she isn't in on the secret and the hero is keeping his cape life from her, as a source of drama as a damsel in distress, and to assure the audience that this guy who runs around in colorful tights and mostly hangs out with other muscly men isn't gay.

In Symphogear, Hibiki's job is to save the world. At first this is a secret from Miku, but only for like 3 episodes of the first season. After that, Miku has a dedicated role in the show: while Hibiki's job is to save the world, Miku's job is to save Hibiki. Miku isn't a fighter, but she keeps Hibiki grounded and helps her focus on what really matters instead of getting distracted by boring moral choices. And whenever Hibiki ends up getting possessed or mind controlled or something, Miku's voice alone is generally enough to get her to snap out of it because they're just that gay.

Miku doesn't have any powers, but that doesn't stop her from having an active role in Hibiki's superhero life and a useful role in the story, instead of being a distraction from the plot like most superhero girlfriends are.

I am all about the titty but just take a look at Victoria's Secret...

Alicia Masters. Any other answer is objectively wrong. She is caring and empathetic and sincerely loves Ben with all her heart, for the real him.

How about actually reading comics?

It’s a shame how Lois’s character has dipped as of late. She’s still a great character and spouse. MJ is great too in her own way

Chestlets lmao

Congratulations, you just described Lois Lane half the time.

>Yurishit

Lois is way hotter than MJ

Black Canary

I hate that Lois Lane has simply become "the final reason Superman defends humanity"

Superman is basically an earthling, he was raised on Earth, grew up with Earth parents, and didnt develop his powers until later in life. He's just a normal, straight-up guy from Smallville, not some weird fucking alien that just happens to love an Earth woman.

He defends Earth because he wants to, not because of some obligation to his girlfriend.

Lets be real: way less than half the time. Half the time Lois still has no idea that Superman and Clarke are the same person. But of the half the time that she DOES know, she is mostly just irrelevant. Superman functions well enough on his own that he doesn't need Lois to help him through problems, the time that Lois's involvement has actually been helpful to his superhero life is a pretty short list, and makes up a pretty insignificant fraction of Lois's existence as a character.

Most of the time, the fact that Lois is a reporter is way more important than any kind of role in saving Superman from being crushed by the weight of his responsibilities.

>Half the time Lois still has no idea that Superman and Clarke are the same person. But of the half the time that she DOES know, she is mostly just irrelevant.
You want to know How I know you don't actually read comics?

Not an argument.

>Symphogear
Back to your containment general on /m/.

Not him but you’re a dumb casual fuck

That's some high-tier breast envy, but wasn't TAS Lois with the purple jacket actually pretty stacked?

Yeah Lois, in STAS and comic canon, is pretty stacked. Artist is playing up MJ’s rack

Not an argument but a fact, Lois Lane is very significant to the Superman mythos and to Superman.

Well I love breast envy and this also has one of my least-seen fetishes, bras peeking out of clothes, so I love it anyway.

Significant to the mythos in a general sense, yes. But how often is Lois actually relevant to a given Superman story, outside of damsel in distress roles? How often is she a contributor to the story, rather than something to fill Superman's downtime with?

When was the last time that Lois Lane was a character who improved the story by her inclusion in such a way that the fact that she was Lois Lane was important, as opposed to a role that could have equally been filled by any other hot chick that Clark could conceivably be dating at the time?

They cute together.

>But how often is Lois actually relevant to a given Superman story,
A majority of the time. You sound like a casual going off from the pop culture idea of Lois Lane instead of actually knowing anything about the comics.

>When was the last time that Lois Lane was a character who improved the story by her inclusion in such a way that the fact that she was Lois Lane was important, as opposed to a role that could have equally been filled by any other hot chick that Clark could conceivably be dating at the time?
Probably two weeks ago.

>literally murdered arthur in a fit of rage
>not even married
Yeah great spouse you have

What is the point of trying to argue with comic book readers about the content of comic books, when you clearly don't read them yourself?

Like, what are you trying to do here?

Shame what’s going on now We will never speak of it

Fpbp

Dumb fuck

Well, it WAS Lois before Bendis came in and somehow managed to kill any chemistry between her and Clark.

Bendis? The comic book writer?

Best girfriend/best wife

THIS!

This. But I like that he finds a dynamic in Lois (beyond just wanting to breed her) that always impacts Clark on a deep level and helps motivate him. The Man and Superman comic brought tears to my eyes. They are so complimentary to one another.

I support big tiddy Lois.

Attached: DocFZQSX0AEuFSJ.jpg (744x845, 158K)

Yeah, because Bendis is the first shitty writer superman got.

this. the old movie and the snyder ones do this.

Lois is a giant whore tho.

Last time I read a Spider-Man comic (2015), MJ was fucking a black guy and badmouthing Peter to him.

So much for the "best love interest ever".

Based

Jean Grey.

I didn't hear a "no she isn't".

They're literally all shit.

Me on the right

Pre-flashpoint Linda Park

I don’t mean that she’s Clark’s motivation, I meant more so that to clark
Lois is superwoman. Someone fighting the good fight along side him without having powers or a secret identity and doing just as much in terms of fighting for truth and justice

>Last time I read a Spider-Man comic (2015)
>implying anything post OMD is canon
Seriously though, I can't believe it's been 10 years and they're sticking to their guns.
Peter makes deals with demons now.

MJ.
