It was passable - but not what he'd hyped up for years and years. Not by a long shot.

His career and reputation are ruined. His entire legacy of being some great cartoonist who made Ren and Stimpy, one of the most influential cartoons, is forever painted over with him being a creep. Even when he dies, that's what'll always show up if anyone does any research him on. I think he's paid.

I think digitizing a VHS is enough to throw off the algorithms that look for copyrighted material for now anyways.

John K's stuff never had good jokes. His whole philosophy is that the humor in cartoons has to be in the visuals and the visuals only. There was hardly anything more clever than "characters make funny faces and have painful things happening to them" in them.

I don't really understand why a human being would actually invest time into making this. Like it feels like the desperate cry of a tortured soul.

He 100 percent deserved it. Even putting aside the skeevy, perverted sex stuff, he was a horrendous, self-absorbed asshole who treated all his co-workers with utter contempt. He spent his whole life bullying people, taking advantage of them, lying, slacking off, and generally being a useless, unreliable hack. Now it's catching up with him and he has no one to blame but himself.
