Does it bother anyone else that Batman is sometimes shown having sex?
Bruce Wayne's a stunted man that stopped growing psychology and emotionally after his parents' death. Bruce also studied several philosophies and practices to master and have complete control over his mind, body and spirit. He's supposed to always be in control in respite of his instincts and wants. The Batman is supposed to be something higher, something purer, something inhuman. He's supposed to be asexual. The playboy persona is a mockery of everything he hates. Any writer that show him indulging in that persona is doing it wrong.
Batman's not supposed to be a slut or give in to his impulses. He's supposed to be dedicated entirely to his mission. Him having sex is pure shitty fanwank and self-insert.
Hell, most of his female villains are meant to be an attack over his sex. They're meant to bring him down to his baser self. To have control over his mind and body. That's why he's not suppose to give in to them. That's the whole deal.
I want my Batman virgin and pure. Batman should be a virgin and remain sexless. I hate the idea that he's some slut. It doesn't fit at all.
The man trained himself not to need sleep, yet the base and low desires of getting his dick wet overpowers him? i think not
Matthew Harris
Huh, I guess so
Thomas Butler
*has sex* lmao, get dabbed on OP
Jordan Barnes
Tom King, get out. BatChad is the purest form of the character.

>all of the hundred of playboy dates finally realize none of them have been fucked by Bruce >news comes out >Bruce is now known as a sex-less virgin by the entire world or that he's got super weird kinks that none of them can satisfy such as paedophilia or that he's gay They'd think he's a psychopath. Sex is normal and human, it'd be weird for a guy in his situation to NOT have sex.
Joseph Flores
is this a stealth gordon thread?
Samuel Rogers
Batman should be gay. Not asexual, but not one with overly active libido either.
Batman writers have always been finding ways to make Bruce grow out of his pathos, as of today he has an extensive family, many great friends in the Justice League, a whole corporation centred around Batman, charity and industrial works to help the mentally ill, etc.
Maybe Batman started off the way you described, but Batman’s writers, unlike with pic related, don’t want him to have a sad ending. He’s growing out of his psychological barriers and becoming much less tragic as time goes on. If he were the way you described, pic related, he’d start out with friends and companions but slowly push them out of his life, becoming more tragic. So of course he has sex nowadays, there’s barely anything wrong with his head anymore.
Jace Carter
So he would groom his robins?
Eli Parker
pic related was Rorschach, shit
Charles Nelson
A celibate Batman is an interesting choice. But how do you explain the fake playboy image Bruce has? He just avoids every woman he encounters?
Joshua Parker
No, but there could be some tension. Like Robin and Batman both realizing they love one another yet knowing how deepply inapropriate such relationship is thus having a conflict and avoiding one another...
People always complained there is not enough women into capeshit, but this is the stuff girls apparently like to read about!
Colton Peterson
I love the idea of asexual Batman.
Aiden Evans
>Like Robin and Batman both realizing they love one another yet knowing how deepply inapropriate such relationship is thus having a conflict and avoiding one another...
That's some Bruce Timm level of fucked up shit
Joseph Morris
When will we get volcel Batman again?
Isaac Murphy
Well in Bratpack the black minx was a gay pedophile. Who didn't in the slightest hide it, but his alter ego was actually a Playboy photographer or something to do with Playboy. I think he live in the Playboy mansion.
Christian Powell
>Bruce Wayne's a stunted man that stopped growing psychology and emotionally after his parents' death.
Sex is biological carnal desires. It doesn't matter how emotionally stunted he is. He is an emcel not an incel.
>Bruce also studied several philosophies and practices to master and have complete control over his mind, body and spirit. He's supposed to always be in control in respite of his instincts and wants.
This is not how biology works. You can't train your body to not want sex. See Catholics priests volceldome leads them to molest boys
>The Batman is supposed to be something higher, something purer, something inhuman. He's supposed to be asexual.
Sex (in marriage/committed relationship) is pure. Saying sex isn't pure is not saying eating isn't pure. It's part of humans no matter how much you try to suppress it.
>The playboy persona is a mockery of everything he hates. Any writer that show him indulging in that persona is doing it wrong.
I agree casual sex doesn't fit Bruce at all which is why King's run is great.
Anthony Gonzalez
golgo sleeps around even if he doesn't take any physical pleasure from it. so why not bruce?
It depends on how the writing is, I mean, if it is Selina and/or Diana then it's fine, since those two can work as love interest one way or another, but when it's Harley, Ivy, Talia or someone like them then it's starts to come out wrong since it paints Bruce as a horndog, which he isn't.
Grayson Ortiz
Not all of us are incels, OP.
Cameron Reyes
Have sex.
Asher Robinson
I think you've got it the wrong way round. Who would want to fuck Batman? He probably thinks stern brooding counts as foreplay.
Nailed it. Batman isn’t a loner who pushes people away. Otherwise he never would have taken in Dick
Evan Sanchez
It makes more sense for Bruce Wayne to be celibate because if he undresses all those whores will see his ripped physique and his scars.
Bentley Reed
Sometimes it definitely seems out of character for him. For example in the New52 Catwoman they have sex shortly after they met which seem extremely out of character as it should be really risky and he didn't even know Catwoman yet. And their relationship relies on sexual tension. Also they keep make him have sex with people who are really young or crazy.

Batman having sex is fine imo but it too often gets written as a weakness which is annoying.
Isaiah Thompson
>Any writer that show him indulging in that persona is doing it wrong Like Finger? The guy who invented Batman? GTFO you casual piece of shit.
James Reyes
>I agree casual sex doesn't fit Bruce at all which is why King's run is great. Fuck off. His relationship with Catwoman is built on casual sex on top rooftops.
Carson Flores
Paul Dini and Scott Snyder like to write Bruce Wayne/Batman as sexless. Snyder, for example, has called his take on the character as a priest with a higher calling.
He's a sick fuck user. He just likes a quick fuck.
Evan Morales
Grant Morrison would also describe 80/90's Batman as sexless, but that interpretation is one that he doesn't like and went out of his way to shit on. Morrison's a fan of the 60/70's Batman who's more of a James Bond type of character. Has all his issues resolved, enjoy an exciting adventure, is after a great love, and is so dedicated he can be almost a sex god.
>But how do you explain the fake playboy image Bruce has? An image. The girls Alfred gets to do playboy things with him know the score, though at least half of them figure he's just gay and old fashioned.
Gavin Robinson
Thanks. It's kind of hilarious how it could be misinterpreted since Alfred is in that sentence.
Eli Myers
Sounds interesting. Recommend?
Juan Reyes
I unironically agree with you, Batman should be a Wizard
Xavier Brooks
>Does it bother anyone else that Batman is sometimes shown having sex?
The fact that you're an incel doesn't mean that everybody else should be too.
You'd do well to stick to manga.
Gavin Murphy
I always viewed Superman and Batman as sexless individuals.
Kind of It's a critique on super heroes. But actually this book is very edgey, you can practically read how angry he was when he wrote this. Also nothing subtle about this book, if you don't mind trigger words and can stomach the art, go for it.
what if the joker planted a bomb up some chick's vag and the only way to fish it out is plow her with the bat dick, huh? batman had to master the art of sex to be an effective crime fighter, anything less would be irresponsible on his part
Lucas Morgan
What do you think of this characterization of Batman described by David Mazzuchelli (penciller for Batman: Year One)?
There's a bulk order of Caped garbage. Just pick the virgin batman and shut up.
Jonathan Gomez
>Bruce Wayne's a stunted man that stopped growing psychology and emotionally after his parents' death.
Not really. Bruce Wayne is a badly damaged man who grew in some very dangerous directions after his parents were murdered.
Ryan Kelly
which decade of bruce are you talking about, he literally had a girlfriend every decade. just because modern writers, write him as a loner not interest in a love life doesnt mean he hasn't had one
