Saw it when browsing Netflix the other day, wanted to know if it'd be worth the time. It looks like it has the potential to be interesting. While I'm at it, what are some other Netflix originals worth checking out?
Is this show any good?
no. the only good part is the first few minutes when thay are stuck the room, is all downhill from there
It's not bad but the ending absolutely ruined it. Don't bother. Or, watch all but the last episode and make up your own ending.
That is one hot asian girl.
I found it decent even though the white boy was annoying. I also felt there was some missed potential story-wise and as said, the ending is shit.
her personality kinda sucks thou, I dont remember much of the show but I remember not liking her by the end
First episode: Amazing
The rest: Just right bad, not even mediocre
I would really liked the whole show uses the same aesthetic as the first episode.
is even worse if you know its coming, you can get how it will end about midway through and then you spend the rest of the show tinking "thats not gonna happen right"
What personality? She was just “the girl.”
I feel like they wanted to make it a series, and this was just advertisement, we even get that sequel bate at the end
The ending was WAY worse than I thought it could be. Like I was expecting it to be bad after certain events but nope it's just dumb
It would have been great if the whole show would be about solving weird puzzles in a underground-chernobyl(kinda) setting, why did they have to change the whole setting so drastically? It's like they wanted to make a whole different show.
Harvey Girls Forever
Hilda
She-Ra
Twelve Forever
Disenchantment (oh boy)
You know what I'm just going to spoil it for you to save anyone the time.
There is no mystery, there is no reason for anything happening, it's all a "dream" sequence with no actual stakes or risks, they're on a game show willingly, it's all part of the game.
The ending is textbook on how to ruin a "mystery" show.
Hilda, The Dragon Prince, and Carmen Sandiego are all good. Puffin Rock is good if you like baby shows. Watership Down is alright if you’re curious, but nowhere near as good as the movie. SheRa gets a lot of shit here, but it has its good points.
Does anyone know when they removed The Long Long Holiday? I just searched for it and couldn’t find it. It was one of the best shows on there. If it’s available in your country or whatever, then definitely watch that one.
>Harvey Girls Forever
Just watched the first episode, it's neat, I guess, I would liked if I were 8.
>Hilda
Good shit
>She-Ra
Couldn't pass throught the first episode, people think it gets better.
>Twelve Forever
Actually better than I expected
>Disenchantment
Hot garbage.
Les grandes vacances is not a netflix original, user.
I feel like twelve forever is really hit or miss, from the trailer I dont think I would like it. And what happened to Disenchantment? it just vanished
New season of Disenchantment in September.
Check out BoJack Horseman, Aggretsuko, Love Death and Robots.
It goes downhill fast after the first episode, I only managed to make it to the fourth before dropping it.
Love Death and Robots is mostly good. Even that time loop one, the plot was dumb but I was surprised to find out it was 3d not real people
Was it rape?
>While I'm at it, what are some other Netflix originals worth checking out?
Hilda
The Dragon Prince
Tales of Arcadia (Trollhunters, then 3Below)
Kulipari (Army of Frogs, then Dream Walker)
Bojack Horseman
Castlevania
Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters
It's not good. In fact it's average or below average in almost every individual aspect you would assess for a cartoon. Yet if you start this, you're going to finish it. It does have a cohesive overall story arc, and it sticks to it without distraction. It's straight forward and chugs along at barely enough speed to get over many hills of boredom, and arrives at an ending so spectacularly bad it's almost entertaining.
To be generous, it's a show that fully utilizes the Netflix release format. It's designed to be binge-watched.
The episode where they meet the 4 horsemen was where it jumped the shark for me. The episodes before were were fantastic but that was just a significant tone shift for the setting.
It wasn't bad (up until the ending) but it was really unfocused, and it's a shame it wasn't able to live up to its potential.
Meh with shit ending. Waste of time
>what are some other Netflix originals worth checking out?
Hilda, Harvey Street Kids, maybe Dragon Prince.
If this show had been released on a network that ending would have made people go fucking ballistic
Stretch is good. How's season 2 of 3Below?
>How's season 2 of 3Below?
rushed, fees lik thy planned 2 more seasons but were force to cramp it into 1, I liked it but season 1 was better
It lost all suspense once the mystery aspect was revealed. Apparently there's a new season coming next year. How could they possibly continue after that ending?
>highschool kids with video game powers in the real world
it was the plan all along
If the ending was fake
I liked the ending
This. Have the game show turn out to be a facade and just another layer of mystery. Undo all the answers people thought they had
...................................................how?
Is season 2 going to be live action only?
Remember the goosebumps tv show? It reminded me of that. Random shit is thrown in without any real consequence and the ending is one of the lamest twists I've ever seen.
I did too. But mostly it was because it was indicating more was going on and that it might be more than just a game. And Blue Guy seemed to know something about it.
hearing how the show ended i have zero interest in ever watching this
Kind of rushed, but not bad either. I wish it had another season to flesh out its characters before the final showdown.
It is getting a second season.
Why? All the mystery is gone after the reveal
This is a new show?
The character designs look weirdly early 00s.
The last episode implied that the 'real world/game show' is also fake.
Jake long got a season 3?
Why isnt Shirou the main character?
I was talking about 3Below.
I think it was really good, it had really good pacing to me. I wanna say ignore the haters and watch a few episodes for yourself. If you start hating it then you can just drop it
A fun mystery that’ll keep you guessing, but it won’t take long to figure it all out.
I’m not as mad about the ending as everyone else, but I am disappointed. How they’re going to handle things in a second season does have me curious, though.
Be careful about Stretch Armstrong. It’s got a classic Saturday morning action cartoon feel, but it ends on a cliffhanger.
>but it ends on a cliffhanger
More like unresolved plotlines, but yeah. I'm guessing they were told they had more episodes than they ended up with. Same thing happened to the comic tie-in.
Adam best boy, Kai a shit. Could've been a good show if Mira actually was a witch, Adam a super soldier, and Kai a genius engineer who were just mindwiped. Out of all the stupid things in the show, giving Kai fire powers for being a whiny little baby was the worst.
The show's ending could've worked better if it was edgier, with the reveal that losing meant death.
Why do writers still pull the "it was all a dream" shit? I know that's not exactly what happens, but the way it ends is essentially the same thing where nothing that happened had any consequence and they were never in any remote danger. It's terrible writing and always has been.
Say what you want about this show but at least it's not political.
I can't get really mad at the show since it was at least trying to bring something interesting to the table. Experimental concepts tend to work only sometimes after all.
It'll probably start off that way.
Came out last year.
shame the show sucked, Mira dsign would have made some good R34
It could still happen.
>Was it rape?
The show was better the less sense it made. Although, its nice they didnt crap out on the mystery box concept like Abrams stuff.
Not as good as Detentionaire. Thats the final grade.
Deus ex machina is the easiest thing to write, especially when the renewal of your show is up in the air.
