New showrunner Eric Wallace answered questions about the show at the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con. Here are the key notes.
>New villain Bloodwork will have a "chilling vibe" like Reverse Flash and Zoom.
>No plans for Captain Cold.
>Killer Frost will be upgraded to a Nora-esque main character / Flash's sidekick role.
>Barry will not say "we’re gonna need more diapers" ever in season 6.
>No Tornado Twins this season, but we will learn more of Barry’s children in future seasons.
>Something as major as Nora’s death will happen to Barry and Iris in the first couple of episodes, and the entire season is basically more about character development and family bonds than ever before.
>Season 6 is split into two arcs, Pre-Crisis and Post-Crisis, and the Post-Crisis arc will have an entirely new villain.
>In addition to Eobard Thawne, Tom Cavanagh will be playing the Pariah in season 6.
>Iris will have her own plot launching her own newspaper. She'll have her own office and staff and spend a lot of time there.
>Ralph's family will be introduced and we'll learn more about his childhood.
>no plans for Captain Cold Those fuckers introduced Abra Kadabra, you know, a fucking time traveller rogue. It's the easiest way to bring Cold back and make a Rogue War season
Michael Cox
>Killer Frost will be upgraded to a Nora-esque main character / Flash's sidekick role. Cool, more shipping fuel for best couple. >Something as major as Nora’s death will happen to Barry and Iris in the first couple of episodes It had better fucking not be Joe dying
Dominic Foster
It's as easy as having Flash run to the end of time, right before the explosion that kills Snart blows up in his face, and snatch him a split second before it happens. He never really dies so there's no paradox.
Leo Cox
So who dies instead of Barry in Crisis?
Tyler Russell
Oliver. Everybody knows this.
Bentley Morris
Wentworth Miller moved on, maybe we should too.
Evan Davis
When who dies instead of Kara?
Thomas Carter
Oliver, too. He trades his life for both of theirs.
