How good is wolverines hand to hand skills? Can he take marvel’s better fighters?

He is very deadly in a fight, but he isn't particularly SKILLED in a fight. His healing factor means he has never needed to worry about defense, and his adamantine claws work on virtually everything so there is almost never a reason not to just use that. When you can lose as many times as it takes to win, you get a lot of combat experience that makes you good in a fight, but its not exactly what you would call training and skill.

Shouldn't Wolverine's claws at least cut through Shang-Chi's swords?

Wolverine was so much more interesting when he was a berserker fighter. He wasn't particularly skilled and didn't need to be.

This. He is played up to be a master of several styles, but writers always have him over-rely on his healing factor. I mean, why bother to dodge the rocket, you can just eat it and suffer the horrific mind-shattering agony of a messy death, and risk the death of your friends or charge while your body agonisingly knits back together.

Laura is a slight step up, or was, in that she couldn't get away with it due to no adamantium skeleton and a healing factor that didn't seem quite as strong. But now she is generic-heroine-046 and is a Wolverine reskin, so who gives fuck.

I missed Logan but it wasn't for his fighting skills. I actually haven't read any of his return as I rarely actually read Yea Forums anymore except Detective Comics.

Laura’s healing factor is just as strong as Logan’s healing factor. Just lack the reinforced skeleton which would prevent her from being dismembered.

He's not on a superhuman level of fighting skills like Shang-Chi, Electra or Iron Fist. He just gets away with a lot because of his healing factor and adamantium skeleton. Normally a dude you impaled or landed a knock out punch goes down, not comes at you further with his claws or breaks your hand respectively. I would honestly argue Logan is a worse fighter than most because he takes those skills for granted. His best element though is his wild nature, you really can't predict what he is going to do. Much like a caged animal with nothing left to lose. But even worse this animal is more than A-OK with biting a limb off when in a trap.

But honestly is just boils down to who is more popular at the time. If Iron Fist comics are selling better than X-shit that month Wolvie will be eradicated. Vise versa if sales are up for even one of the 300 X books. If someone has to job though it is usually Ghost Rider for street level and Galactus for cosmic. Both of which make 0 sense.

Adamantium has literally zero set rules. Anything stated it can do has been shown to not be true.

A good example is Thor blatantly stated the metal can't be beaten by magic even with all his godly strength and Mjolnir back in the... 70s IIRC then this happened. Granted this is Vibranium Adamantium but technically it should be better. Also later Thor said he could too. Many people have. Ultron, Doom, random other villains. Just like how other heroes job, if they want to show off a new character and his powerset, Adamantium jobs.

But Wolvie has also cut through retarded stuff, yet his claws still stop him from falling a million times by cutting and slowing down to a stop into rock. Where as the slightest weight, especially with 500 pounds of metal and flesh attached to them.

Logan's skill is displayed frequently, against a variety of top tier fighters, but at the same time he's a punching bag writers use to establish someone as a threat. So, he's among the best until someone needs him to suck.

it'd stop him if he slanted his claws like \ and rested on the flat part of his blade instead of the sharp part but then his wrist would have to support his whole body

Depends on who is writing, that and a long time ago when his healing factor wasn't as retarded OP as it is right now, he had to rely a lot more on skill and smart fighting to avoid getting too fucked up. If he got injured badly enough and wasn't given an opportunity to recuperate, he'd be dead like anyone else, but nowadays he can tard rush and get his ass melted into a puddle, but it's okay, he'll be fine by the next panel.

nothing inside your body is actually very rigidly stuck there your bones are more sturdy than most organs but your joints can stretch pretty far (try pulling your wrist to see) his claws probably just pushes them aside to get to the fleshy knuckle bits and the blade itself is like half a foot long
