Is the lasso of truth a good weapon?

Is the lasso of truth a good weapon?

It feels to me more like it's a purely utilitarian thing. Maybe if it forced submission more consistently, but it'd also be pretty OP as a weapon then, so I can understand why they don't use that aspect of it often.

And more importantly, why does she only have one magic weapon? Is there some rule saying she can't have more? Or is it that she can only have one trademark weapon, and she's stuck with a rope because of legacy?

What about her bracelets?

The lasso can hold down most enemies as far as I know.
She can even pin Doomsday with it

how does that even work anyway

can she officially shoot beams out of them now like some kind of greek ultraman

She also has the tiara

How about actually read fucking Wonder Woman and stop asking stupid questions?

It’s more of an interrogation tool than a weapon

It's an indestructible noose, that she has perfect accuracy with, seems pretty useful to me

the bracelets are the hardest thing in the DCU
they have never been broken

>is it a good weapon
Yes. As with any magical rope/chain item, it has variable length, is virtually indestructible, and can both bind and whip.

It of course has its main feature of coercing honesty, but it has also been known to dispel brainwashing effects, as well as form a barrier.

The deep lore behind it is that it is imbued with the essence of the goddess Hestia, whose flames provide protection, and burn away deceit.

And yes, she has other magic tools, most notably the Bracelets of Submission.

Is indestructilbe, is perfect to hold the Hulk for example

Truth is a great weapon in the right hands, user.

It has the potential to be good if written good

Read a fucking Wonder Woman's comic.
She has Hermes Boots, Athenas Sword, Hercules's Bat, a Tiara that can pierce steel and a lasso that only stronger than superman characters can use.

Silver-Bronze Age it was a no save mind control if she touched you with it. In modern times it’s an ultimate panacea against illusions and mind control, even anti-life, and can’t be destroyed by physical means.

It’s pretty powerful.

This actually. Even her lasso was broken once when two people of equal and opposite conviction pulled on it (which caused reality to start falling apart).

But the bracelets have never, ever failed.

Those things are tougher than Cap’s shield and Thor’s hammer.

Wilson is going to change that in the shitty Year of the Villain arc

I feel like even DC straight up forgot about the Tiara. Cause nowadays they insist on using the sword, even though she is constantly wearing a razor sharp magic boomerang on her head.

>she's stuck with a rope because of legacy?
No, because said rope is fucking awesome.

They're Nth Metal aren't they?

Diana is a Demigoddess at the least so she'd be magic, wouldn't Nth metal hurt her?

>Yea Forums
>reading comics
lmao

They were made from Aegis, Zeus' shield.

It's not Kryptonite for fuck sake. Nth Metal simply negates most magic properties. It's why Hawkman can wack Gentleman Ghost with his Nth Metal mace

>King K. Rool mains

Only the New 52 version got broken
