It seemed like one of their funtime inventions that incorporated a bunch of things and it all failed, I can imagine a domino effect of components backfiring and knocking everyone into everyone else. Realistically nothing was probably decided on.

I would guess a carnival too, if I had to guess a sequence of events then Ed tried juggling a bunch of appliances, Eddy might’ve gotten an ice cream truck and had Edd prepare cement as pseudo ice cream but he knocked a tree over and smacked Ed, who accidentally threw all of the appliances onto the kids. Then at some point I guess Eddy hit the 'red button' to save face and pretty much made the entire scam self destruct

I never got this pairing since Marie has nothing in common with Edd
Lee is bossy and irritable like Eddy, May is dumb and imaginative like Ed, but Marie is a trailer park punk girl attracted to a wimpy nerd, best I can imagine is that they’re both the straight men to the groups, but that’s only barely applicable because Marie has almost no personality to begin with

it will not happen since the creator owns the show 100% and dislikes the idea of a reboot.

The only reason Ben 10, PPG, and Thundercats got cal-arts reboots is because they sold a lot of toys. Ed Edd and Eddy haven’t been whored out so they are safe.

In theory, there could be a way for it to be good, but it wouldn't involve what you posted. And it's incredibly unlikely to happen.
Although it might be one of the more likely possibilities for if it happened at all.
