This really comes down to taste. Ed Edd n Eddy was one of the best slice of life comedy cartoons ever and Avatar is pretty much the ultimate action drama cartoon. Depending on your tastes you'll pick one over the other. Trying to argue which is "better" is futile.

Both of these shows were after my time, but I was able to go back and enjoy (what I've seen of) Avatar.

As a kid I disliked both.
As an adult I am indifferent to Avatar and I despised EEnE when I tried to revisit it.
I guess it all comes down to whether you consider active dislike or a complete lack of interest worse.

Avatar would unironically be the perfect cartoon if it didn't look like anime.

The problem there is that Avatar is just an American anime at the end of the day and it takes so much from the genre conventions that it would be a little weird to give it a superhero art style or something more cartoony.

This is some apples and oranges bullshit, they're not similar in any capacity aside from being western. That being said, EEnE was pretty much the height of TV animation, while Avatar was just some discount weeb shit.

EEnE's only distinction is its jarring art style and animation which is similar in tone to shows like Problem Solverz or Uncle Grandpa, beyond that it's just another power trio gag cartoon, as common today as it was back then and yes, I compared problem solverz to ed, edd n eddy just to piss you off, bitch.
