Cast the Fourth World Movie
Holy shit, how could I forget?
>Oberon- Danny DeVito
>Mister Miracle
Cillian Murphy.
>Big Barda
Gwendoline Christie.
>Oberon
Warwick Davis.
Hmm. Murphy and Christie seem a little old for the roles, don't they?
Not really. You picked Hardy, whose 41, for Orion. Murphy is only 43 and Christie is 40.
You realize they're going to black at least half the cast, right?
Too many whites. Can't have a movie with more than five characters where one of them isn't black in 2015.
>Mister Miracle
Glenn Howerton
>Big Barda
Gina Carano
>Granny Goodness
Kathy Bates
>Darkseid
Idris Elba

>Highfather
Donald Sutherland
>Lightray
Dacre Montgomery
>Metron
Leonardo Dicaprio
Look, here are the thing, they are gonna change the races of a couple of the characters. I think you guys should just probably reconcile with that right now.
However, the people that Ava usually works with are some really good actors.
Though, I think Logan Marshall Green will probably be Mr.Miracle
They're gods, it doesn't really matter.
Oh. I guess you're right.
Also, I guess I'll go ahead and plot the movie, too:
>Begins with prologue explaining the emergence of the Fourth world, lifting "There came a time when the old gods died" etc. text straight from Kirby. Prologue goes on to explain the war, and the trading of Highfather's and Darkseid's sons to create a truce
>Immediately jumps to a young Scott Free in the X-Pit, being tortured and starved. He attempts a daring escape, and almost makes it, but is caught at the last minute by Granny's forces. We learn that this is the thirty-ninth time he's tried to escape, and that he keeps on trying despite his punishment worsening each time.
>Scott free wakes up, the previous scene being revealed to be a flashback. He gets to work, tinkering with his latest trap as we're introduced to Oberon and Big Barda. He's become a popular escape artist in L.A., as well as a local superhero. He muses about how he can escape anything, but Oberon cautions him against getting too overconfident, telling him that not everything can be escaped. Free goes ahead with his performance, escaping from a bank vault safe filled with water, dropped several stories from a crane.
>We go to New Genesis, where Highfather is looking to The Source for guidance to end the ongoing war with Darkseid. The Source reveals to him a cryptic message about Orion going to Apokalips, which troubles Highfather, as it may lead him to discover the truth of his heritage.
>We meet Orion, and he's consumed with anger about the ceaseless bloodshed of New Genesians in the war. Orion has over the years learnt to keep his anger in check by meditating with his best friend, Lightray, who acts to temper Orion. Orion discloses to Lightray that he feels he is corrupted inside, because despite believing in New Genesis' values of peace and freedom from strife, engaging in battle and destroying his enemies makes him feel good. He lives for war. After the meditation session, Orion is alone, and we learn that his darkness is not only internal, but external; the face he wears in public is made more pleasant by the power of his Mother Box, and his true face bears an imposing, overhanging brow and cracked skin, which he finds makes him the only ugly thing on New Genesis.
>Back on Earth, Scott Free is summoned for jury duty, which he doesn't want to do, because it will interfere with his practicing for his latest performance. He thinks about ways to get out of it, but Barda tells him that if he is ultimately selected as a juror, he likely won't be able to escape it
>We go into another flashback chronicling how Free was finally able to escape Granny Goodness' orphanage, and how he joined up with Himon's resistance against Darkseid on Apokalips. The Furies were sent after him, but Barda, who was already growing disillusioned with being one of Darkseid's elite, ends up siding with Scott. As the rest of the Furies kill Himon and close in on Scott and Barda, Himon creates a Boom Tube to allow them to escape. Granny Goodness tells Scott that should he leave Apokalips, the conditions of the truce between New Genesis and Apokalips will be broken, and their bloody war will resume. Scott and Barda escape anyway, choosing freedom over returning to the X-Pit, and knowing that, even though Goodness would never kill Scott for fear of breaking the truce, surrendering would mean the death of Barda. Barda and Scott eventually settled on Earth, where they met escape artist Thaddeus Brown and his assistant Oberon, helping him with his act under his stage name of Mr. Miracle. After Brown passed away, Scott inherited the persona to sustain the illusion of Miracle "escaping death."
>Back in present day on New Genesis, Orion grows fed up with fighting proxy wars against Apokalips on other planets Darkseid has invaded, and decides to go to Apokalips himself to take the battle to Darkseid. Once on Apokalips, he hides himself amongst the Hunger Dogs and tries to find a way to get close to Darkseid's palace. Instead, he encounters Kalibak and engages him in battle. For reasons unknown to Orion, Kalibak hates him even more than he hates most New Genesians, and it seems personal. Kalibak seeks to kill Orion to make Darkseid proud, but is defeated. Darkseid reveals himself, and tells Kalibak that the only reason he didn't prevent him from killing Orion is that he knew he is incapable, anyway, and that Orion is his superior. We get the sense that Darkseid is always unfavourably comparing Kalibak to Orion.
>Darkseid informs Orion that the only way for the war to be ended, other than one side winning, is for Scott Free to be returned to Apokalips. Darkseid reveals that his intelligence has finally located Scott Free on a insignificant planet of mortals that doesn't even have a single common name amongst its own inhabitants. This planet is, of course, what we call "Earth." Darkseid has already sent his forces to kill Scott Free as punishment, but Orion may be able to prevent the war by getting to him first and returning him.
>Back on Earth, Scott Free is found by Doctor Bedlam, an agent of Darkseid. Bedlam uses his abilities to turn Mr. Miracle's entire audience against him, forcing Miracle risk harming them or being torn apart by them. Miracle escapes, only to have to face the Furies, as well. Barda and Miracle fight back the Furies, but are outnumbered. Orion booms in and helps them defeat them. Orion, meeting the man responsible for re-igniting the war, strikes and chastises Scott for what he sees as selfishness, leaving Apokalips so that he can perform for peanuts from an audience of beings below gods. Scott responds that he is not willing to give up his freedom and will, the very things New Genesis claims to value most, and that war and strife are still preferable to not having freedom. Orion agrees, but tells Scott that it's different when it's a war that other people have to fight. Scott asks if Orion is going to take him back to Apokalips, and Orion tells him no, that he would never turn a fellow New Genesian over to his enemies. Instead, what he demands of Scott is that he face his responsibility by fighting by his side. Scott agrees to go with Orion back to New Genesis, because it will "get him out of jury duty."
>Scott agrees to go with Orion back to New Genesis, because it will "get him out of jury duty."
>Scott asks if Orion is going to take him back to Apokalips, and Orion tells him no, that he would never turn a fellow New Genesian over to his enemies.
Based. I thought for a second there you were going to shit on Orion and make him the villain ala King. Good to see he's still heroic in your version.
Ends kinda abruptly. Is it a trilogy or something?
Huh? Nah, I just got tired of writing.
I mean, it would have sequels, but the first one wouldn't end here.

Apokolips = White
This isn't a bad idea.
The only problem is that you're not allowed to have a black villain or a black character that was part of the villains (Finn in Star Wars was never bad, but Barda was), so Barda must be black even if all apokolipsian are white.
>so Barda must be black even if all apokolipsian are white.
Orion would have to be white as well. Anyway I disagree, I'm not white myself but I think that would be a horrible idea
>Orion would have to be white as well. Anyway I disagree, I'm not white myself but I think that would be a horrible idea
Oh shit right! Our ginger man Orion has to be black because he is an hero!
But we know it's an horrible idea, but since we know how Ava Duvernay and Hollywoods treat comic books character they will make the heroes black and the villains white
those people are way too big to be doing a DC movie
You need smaller names think tv actors like and have
