This may be a dead thread, but I'll say it Carmelita Fox is a HORRIBLE crap character in this series. A dumbass twat who only has Muh Sly in the brain. Does this cunt ever do anything that is not tied to her Sly Obsession? Even Amy Rose has a chunk of situations where she's not obsessing over Sonic and manages to behave like a normal girl instead of a crazy stalker (and I mean Sonic Team Amy).
Impossible. Once you make the decision to cancel a movie and greenlight a show, you cannot just undo that.
She arrested every non-final boss villain whether or not Sly had anything to do with her being there. Also, nice post.

It's real and it's coming out later this year, but nothing I've heard of it makes me feel positive, from the recycled CG from the movie to the focus on a single city and the fucking 11 minute episode rule.
Really wish we got more this guy. Hell, TiT actually had a nice set up for Sly to meet his dad and his gang before Dr. M went loony. Honestly, I just wanted a "I'm proud of you son" moment from Sly's father.
This here is why I feel Carmelita Fox never took off as a character. Normally furries worship just about any given female animal character, but if I have to make a guess why Carmelita Fox doesn't really strike a cord with furries compared to say Toriel from Undertale is because of her personality (because let's face it Carmelita's design IS attractive). When a woman spends all her screen time obsessing over this ONE male character she kind of tells male audiences that she has no availability to her. She's one note and you don't exist for her. In fact case in point with this other male character who obviously has no shot with her .
It's the same reason some people find Miraculous Ladybug to be an annoying show, the titular heroine only obsesses with this one other guy and never shuts up about it. She has nothing going on except her stupid repetitive obsession for this other guy. And frankly most guys don't want to hear about a woman's whining entitlement to dating this random other guy. It's a huge turn off.
And another thing that's a strike against Carmelita in the area of personality is how she breaks the law and betrays her employers to suck criminal cock. So she comes off as a major hypocrite especially when she says she's a Good Cop. No cunt, if you refuse to send a world known criminal to jail because you want to suck his dick and bear his babies, that makes you a traitor and an enabler of a criminal. She should have gotten fired by the end of Sly 3.
Anyway these elements of Carmelita's personality hurt her as a character and it's why I never felt she was actually popular. Sure she has a chunk of images, but I do remember most of them coming from an obsessed fanboy who commissioned a LOT of artists on Deviant Art. Like multiple hundreds of commissions. Anyway in general most artists don't have an organic interest in Carmelita Fox and prefer drawing Renamon or Krystal.

How so? This game didn't have problems with time hopping, so that can't be an issue.
A comic? Don't be stupid. Comics are a dead and dying medium. Most people don't like reading comics. They prefer manga and even then? MOST consumers prefer actual TV Shows like Gotham or cartoons based on comics like TMNT cartoons. Comics is a waste of money for Sony when it comes to Sly. Even if a cartoon won't have much reach, it will always be more accessible than a comic book.

It just felt more than anything that the series kept on forcing this romantic pairing that simply does NOT work.
I'm guessing that was the plan. They thought they were going to make a two-game story arc with time traveling, constantly hinting at Clockwerk and saving some of the ancestors and time periods (Ancient Egypt, Victorian England, pirates, etc.) for the sequel, but instead, it led to this

Forth game was kinda meh but it could’ve been a lot worse. At least the graphics were gorgeous.
The real plan was to actually have the Ancient Egypt part in the game, but they literally ran out of budget.
It's also why the LeParadox fight is just a QTA rather than an actual boss fight like they originally planned.

Of all directions you could have gone, you had to pick the one that was not only a retread of previous character lessons and archs but one that probably permakilled any unique developments harder than the fact that a sequel will never come out. I'll never stop being mad. Now, if she were to appear in the show (and the show is just a retelling of the games) once we get to the third game's adaptation, people will be shitting on her and people who didn't play the games will be wondering why.
If it makes you feel any better Some of the treasures you get in her episode hint that she may have been brainwashed. However, with the plot having been cut and unfinished cause Sony didn't give them mroe budget, it'll forever just be her doing a dumb heel turn.
While I normally allow people to dislike things, in this case I cannot help myself but LOL at the butthurt shippers angry their ship didn't happen.
I miss this franchise but I'm really not expecting much from the new series. If Sonic Boom's any indication it's just going to be another slapstick gag of the week show with no serious conflicts or long-running story arcs.
I mentioned this somewhere else, but it should have been La Paradox teaming up with his own ancestors to one-up Sly's. Then, Sly and his friends show up, help the Cooper of that time period and beat the skunk's ancestors up, all leading to a two on two fight, Sly and his dad vs. La Paradox and his father.
But they actually got together and went on dates, building a lab together and all. I wouldn't have been surprised if Bentley was gonna pop the question sometime later. It was just a dumb twist that a vast majority of the fans didn't like.

Wait, seriously? I knew they had production issues near the end, but I just assumed the final cut level was a Le Paradox-conquered Paris. Didn't they cut Dimitri as well? I remember he had a model and his voice actor was listed, but he didn't show up except for minor silent cameos in the cutscenes.
I didn't care for her character in 3 either, but that was just too much. I liked that her and Bentley's healthier relationship actually affected Sly and finally pushed him to settle with Carmelita.

I understand the idea is to make the player go through all of these moves and techniques and rooms as Sly in the end and Bentley/Murray would have trouble traversing, but it would have been kino if they all ran the gauntlet together, even if that doesn't really work for the ending they went with
I like how Shovel Knight handled that. In Specter of Torment, you have flashback scenes where you travel up a tower, with your buddy in the background who helps you get up hard to reach spots at certain points. Bentley and Murray could have done the same.
I still remember seeing Bentley in a wheelchair in 3 fucked me up when I first played. Thinking about it still kind of makes me sad.
