I remember when the internet fucking launched and for a long time up until around MySpace, it was common practice to, "NEVER put your real name on the internet!". You would never put your pictures, your age in your username, or even reveal what gender you were I guess so women can avoid creeps.

Now people put their fucking home address and break NDA willy nilly to show off that they have an animation job. It's crazy.

that's a problem i have with a lot of """animators"""

animators are some of the greatest misdirection artists. in the world. they all wanly smile and pretend they are the ones who animate their own works, but nearly 100% of the time, there is no "in house" animation, it's all outsourced to other countries. people who do the inbetweens or cleanup or storyboards or make the backgrounds deserve more praise for bringing an idea to life more than the "idea guy" who came up with it. then everyone fellates them on twitter about how they "animated things so well"

For the love of God I wish that would happen. I don't get why we don't have animation places in areas that don't cost an arm and a leg. I know it's most likely because locations they're in means it's easier to bump shoulders with people in TV or movies.
