Adventure Time

Now that the dust has settled, what did you think of it? I'm currently in the process of pruning out the more undesirable episodes so I can let my kids watch it. I really like the first four seasons, but limiting them to that would be unfair since some of the newer episodes were also very strong (Hall of Egress is my favorite ep of all time), I mostly want to cut out the aimless flagellating of Finn and the awful shipping nonsense. Also everything that ruins Ice King after I Remember You (bye, Betty). So are there any particular episodes you would include or exclude for your hypothetical kids Yea Forums?

is that a picture of ghunter or a mirror?

I expect it's just a portrait of him, the implication being Ice King has outlived all of his friends.

I don't know what to say.
For example, if you skip the flame princess breakup arc, you have to skip dungeon train, which is one of the best episodes, that teach the important lesson about scapism, that feels good, but it damages the people you love.
When I become a father, I would wait until they are teenagers before show them the whole thing.

What are your kids like?

Do you have any? Are they hypothetical?

NEVER MORE....

First two seasons were GOAT.
Season 3 had some gems but quality became variable as it started to develop in different directions
4-6 is where it started to go downhill
Nothing after that is canon.

I really enjoyed the finale. I thought it wrapped up the themes of the show very nicely. I'd let your kids watch every episode and let them decide for themselves whether or not it's good.

Absolute pleb taste. All of S3 is kino

Never let them watch Breezy. It was the worst, most akward episode in the show.

too bad this never went canon, oh well

honestly?, it was god tier until ward left, then muto took it and became a pandering show and that's it. nothing much to add

She won’t even let him touch her shoulder.

My favorite episode is All The Little People, and that's S5, so you probably you shouldn't skip it entirely.

But generally, choosing what episodes of the show your kids can watch based on your headcanons is pretty autistic. Everyone wants to have their little world where they know everything and can control everything, and you're trying to manifest that desire by limiting your kids' world. I doubt a lot of good will come from that. Realizing that you can't control everything is a part of growing up. Now that I think about it, this is kinda one of that episode's themes.

No it didn't

I debate between this and Red Throne

>what did you think of it?
It was great but the quality decayed overtime, partly because of how chaotic the production process seemed to be, but also because some thing were just forced into the plot. I skipped most of the last 3 seasons and I don't feel bad for it.

"Dad's dungeon" is one of my favorite episodes.

There isn't a single good episode in the last 3 seasons. Why start a show you can't finish?

Really? So none of the miniseries, neither episodes like Normal Man, High Strangeness, or Bonnibel Bubblegum were good acording to you?

I don't think it's a controversial view. The best mini-series was Stakes, and it was pretty shit and is only loved by yuri shipping spastics.

The only episode you should stop them from watching is the one where that little asshole keeps saying "I'm gonna kill you!".

Seriously how the fuck do you explain that at the store when your kids are playing and shouting I'm gonna kill you?
