Who wins?

Who wins?

Bump.

Not really familiar with Saint Seiya but Billy is crazy powerful.

Pretty much everyone in Seiya is some kind of horrifying MFTL monstrosity at the low-end, with the Gold Saints being the craziest of the bunch. Throwing around galaxy-busting attacks is honestly the least of what you can expect from them.

I think the version of Seiya in the image is Sagittarius Seiya, who's honestly pretty nightmarish.

Captain Marvel.

Depends, because Billy can punch black holes, and is so strong he cant hurt himself. But magic kinda fuggs that all up.

capeshit powercreep always wins

>DC powercreep always wins
Fix'd.

Infinite pages.

If I recall, the cloths can mostly negate damage to the wearers, or at least the standard ones can. Gold Cloths apparently make their bearers practically invincible to most attack.

Whether or not Billy can tank getting hit with galaxy-busting explosions and attacks that harness the energies of the Big Bang is the real question here.

Classic Captain Marvel? Sure. But Classic Captain Marvel is dead and no longer canon.

Doesn’t he exist on Earth-5?

IT'S OBVIOUS [my favorite character] WINS, DON'T YOU REMEMBER HOW IN [hack] 'S RUN HE DESTROYED GOD WITH A SNEEZE AND HIS POWER KEPT ESCALATING UNTIL HE REGENERATED HIS GAMMA CLOTHES AFTER ABSORBING THE METAVERSE IN IT'S ENTIRETY? IT'S OBVIOUS [the other character] CAN'T WIN

Explain.

Not the same one. Multiverse died and a new nerfed one took its place. Same thing happened to everyone in them multiverse with exception to Superboy-Prime, who avoid the Crisis of Infinite Nerfs.

i'm assuming user is referring to when Billy helped superman lift the book in final crisis which had infinite pages and contained the entire multiverse within it

Does he generally scale to that feat?

That doesn't really mean anything though. It could have infinite pages but still be 100 pages thick. It could consistently be split down the middle with 50 pages on each side. And regardless of how many pages were turned, it will remain the same.

well it's not the viewer

Seiya. He has the most will out of every Saint in the series, that's how he always wins. Not because he is super strong or has the best powers, it's because he never gives up.
Plus he has two amazing openings (Pegasus Fantasy and Soldier Dream).

>Does he generally scale to that feat?
no since superman did most of the work in lifting it

Ah, gotcha.

His persistence is basically his main power, even after all this time.

I don’t think Infinity works like that. It’s not an actual number.

I mean, we have transfinite mathematics with sets of infinity. So it's in a really odd position as a concept.

Seiya, he can move at the speed of light.

I mean can you cut infinity into parts? Is the majority of Infinity a thing?

Hence why its best to ignore anyone that claims they are capable of infinite feat.

Speed of Hermes.

Wasn't it thunderworld billy? isn't that guy relatively strong as superman because he is the superman of his world?

well with the book the infinity part isn't that important, what's important is that the book represented/contained the ENTIRE DC multiverse and Final crisis was all about metafiction and the power of stories so lifting the book is meant to be a really big deal.
But again, Billy didn't do it on his own so it shouldn't count
It was earth 5 Billy yeah.

That's a weird match up. But anyway, Seiya is guided to victory by Nike who is always in the right hand of Athena.

You can't cut it into parts, but you can have greater sets of it for whatever reason.

Sure you can. IF you cut infinity apart, you will have 2 sets of infinity. And depending on where you cut it, infinity A might be larger than infinity B. Being infinity doesn't mean you are indestructible.

If athena Seiya , if not , Billy. But Billy dies montes later from the cosmos attacks wounds

In terms of speed, it's a bit hard to pin down who's faster. Both can go FTL to ludicrous degrees, and have variations who are even faster.

Seiya via having one of the most OP abilities ever (Atomic destruction) and being able to fight low multiversal threats

So does billy. Who's both infinitely good, pure and willpowered.

It's actually better than some others I've seen suggested. Mostly because there's room for actual discussion.

Billy wins because dc gods > saint seiya gods.

For Billy, fighting cosmic gods is an on and off thing. It's not something he does everyday, and he isn't always at his best.

For Seiya, fighting things like Hades is basically all he exists for.

That kinda depends on which Billy. New 52/Rebrith Billy acted like a dick originally, until he came to accpet his family and fully came into the role of Captain Marvel.

Seiya, he kills gods for breakfast

hearing shit like that makes me so disappointed on what happened with the netflix show

The Netflix show is outright terrible. It's hardly worthy of being called Saint Seiya.

Five seconds pass and the fight is concluded.

Also, isn't killing Hades kinda like causing a miniature Final Crisis?

Leave Carol out of this.

How does this go?
