There was one based on the American film from the late 90's. I remember it not really being about Zilla a whole lot though, there were lots of other generic monsters.

Like the 90s series but with a new Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan, Anguirus and maybe King Ghidorah as a recurring villain. Most of the other monsters would have to be OCs due to Toho's obsessive and expensive licensing of all its characters.

A new one? Hard to say. I would like it to be a mix of the Barbara Cartoon with the 90s cartoon but with a more classic Godzilla design and atomic breath. Also have other Toho monsters show up.

1960s cartoon:

Unfortunately, this is the late 1960s and Minilla has been forced in and, seemingly at the last minute is based off of the "Destroy All Monsters" film- despite being originally based off the 1956 American version. The show attempts to add some "oriental" influences, but comes off more crass than the Asian character from the Dick Tracy cartoon. The Japanese are whitewashed and Raymond Burr's character, played by some no-name voice actor who never appears in anything ever again, is nothing like he was in the film.
2000s cartoon:

It's a Megas XLR or 2003 Astro Boy-styled show with a faux animé style that bases itself on the later Millenium films; over-the-top human cast with flat "quip-py" writing as well. New kaiju are unremarkable bland, and constantly reappear; clearly, an abhorrent Pokémon influence- the very thing that helped kill Godzilla: The Series has taken over the franchise.
