RN im very sloppily scribbling characters for a tabletop campaign I plan on running.
we practice we get better
I posted some for a thread last night, but I dissapeared, I wonder what happened to it.
I'd post but self-conscious and lack the drive to draw.
trying to draw more female characters
Drew this yesterday,
doing these sort of bust drawings
for all of my characters
Cuphead the show but they're scammers like EENE
My characters Jacob and Summer
The first thing i drew when i bought my drawing tablet back in march
Last pic I put big effort in to make it look decent
I need to take a shower.
Looks cool
More?
Been studying the Preston Blair animation book.
Ug
>still sometimes draw fucking Pepe
>it unironically helps me articulate and process my own life experiences to make a shitty cartoon nazi frog feel what I feel
A character I'm designing.
i need to work on my attention span.
i leechblocked everything except 4flannel.
Just started drawing on the computer, still learning
kind of got an Aeon Flux vibe going on.
why black man have titty?
the boy is becoming a man.
Thanks user
Here's a request I did before her
Haven't finished 3rd character, Glasses. Gotta do that now
cause black man overweight
Tonk
Oh, hey. I like your work dude. Makes me wish I could draw my own comics
Grug draw free hand, make character
Grug self-teach, say render very importent
Anyone else have this weird obsession with avoiding using reference?
Grug make one panel months ago then never work on again
I like your horror style. Do you have any social media accounts?
No, because that's a dumb thing to do
Yeah it's called 'being raised to be deathly afraid of plaigarism leading to an isolationist symbolic artstyle'
yeah, i do, but Kesh video made me realize it's a horrible mistake.
you need a base, you need details, you can get them only from STUDYING
Grug repost
take a look at this chest, i never drew chests before, never studied it, so i dont know what kind of pattern planks should be, what buckle to use, how to draw decent padlock.
part of my lunchbreak doodles btw.
That's pretty good actually
Damn bro
Thank you! @Scrodanger on Instagram
Rogue from X-Men
Thanks, I take attention.
qt style user
Finished head
Actually, quick question. The character holding the flashlight does his hair look wrong? I've asked friends and I've had mixed responses
You've got a super simplistic and stylized deal, I mean the mouse-ears girl has scrambled egg hair.
Flashlight guy's butt-part makes him look like a spazz and a dweeb but it seems like that's what you're going for.
I'm finally starting to get the hang of muscles on certain parts of the body.
I rarely draw traditionally, it feels wrong
Ug scribble goth gf
My best friend is a full-blown furry and he asks me to draw his characters a lot.
no, it's walking before running
She cute, whats her name?
Jilda
We've come up with so many character that I figured I'd try to tell a story with them.
I never realized how hard making a single page of a comic was until I did it.
Nice!
No
O-okay.
I'll dump some of my shitty art, and ideas I stole and sketched out.
yiff in hell, furfag
I miss when Scott updated regularly, bros...
You’re mom!
I think I have fapped to your art.
Chill, bro
I love the style in this
Like the second one but I assure you, if it is for a comic or something, drawing her it's going to be a pain in the ass every time due the scales.
and last one.
according to the folder in which I keep screenshots and renders of all my work this is the last thing I drew, some user's OC.
something im working on
Katia is perfection
Damn I had to dig to find a human...
I’d fuck her, nice style btw
Great. I have more drawings I've done, this time on paper, but i have to find the goddamn things because I'm a fucking idiot.
Don't let this thread die!
fuck it's dead
don't really draw myself that often but i think it turned out okay.
That's from a goth thread a while back. I remember that thread.
Make her sad. And startled.
yeah, it has been a while since I last drew something.
Bump for survival.
bless you
Working on some Rocky Horror Picture Show fanart. I wanna draw more characters too, drawing irl people as cartoons is fun for me
No repost pls
Hey that's pretty good
need to get better at art still
Here's another page from that comic.
The hardest thing for me is what camera angle to do the panels. Sometimes it's straight forward but other time I get overwhelmed with options in my head.
Pls bully ;)
no fuck you its good
Kino darknees. You should get a white crayon, pencil, or glossy pen, and just put some sheen on that for lighting, and it'd be top album cover quality. Like what I tried to do here with the lightning but less autistic
looks like an album cover
Snek
I've been trying to get this characters proportions consistent for ages
Fsh
Really digging the giant kunai
Trying to get some art done for a project.
Took me a while to realize that it wasn't a cabin with a water wheel.
I fear that i will never develop my own artstyle if i keep this up.
...
Fuck yeah can only do so much with pure pen
My mural buddy was telling me I should see what a color experiment with watercolor in the background would do
Don't fuss over whether or not you have "your own style." It's actually really important to be flexible, especially in the comics/animation industry.
ur good ;)
look out, the police have arrived!
I like your facial expressions.
that's fair, my coloring skills sort of suck.
It's cute!
The story plods along and then the villain reveals himself
Laughing Salesman?
The scales are honestly not that bad. You just do patches of it, wherever feels right. And it's just cross-hatching, contoured to the shape of the body.
I've had to consistently draw much more complicated characters.
>tacticool armor
>sentai
sentai is an example of least is best my dude
Yeah man for Sure, and you dont even need to go all crazy getting out paint either, that image is purely marker, pen, and pastel. And way too many photocopies that destroyed the original lineart lol
But how will i draw prons if i can only copy what i see?
the internet probably has porn you can use on it somewhere if you look hard enough
I wanna write a short horror story on this
Most hentai is drawn from reference, user. If you dont like to draw from IRL porn, use posing software
Does she spit?
doodles of sanic and others
You learn to draw original poses after studying anatomy long enough. Life drawing is a huge help.
zenofag reporting in
are there any drawfags here from the pleakley thread that happened a few weeks ago? that was a lot of fun, I loved contributing
no. i reference for everything.
some explosions and stuff
dead divers
How do I get into drawing, bros? I’m so shit I don’t know where to start... Should I take classes or something?
>she
Look at an object and draw it. Do it again and again and keep fixing what isnt right. Be honest
The book Keys to Drawing is a goot start.
Someone will tell you to start whit Loomis, but Loomis is actually a little bit too hard for beginers, if you can get trougth Keys to Drawings then you can go for the Loomis collection.
Whatever you do avoid "How to draw X" books you find in stores, they are utter shit in every way imaginable and actually hampered my drawing ability as a kid. I'm convinced I became worse because of them.
trying to diversify my face types, it's still really hard for me to draw women
that is some top quality shit. you got a twitter?
digging it
cute!
you could take classes. there are tutorials for stuff on youtube. personally, i just tried aping a bunch of people's art simultaneously for style until certain things stuck with me, and then did a bunch of figure-drawing for form.
also need to do more animals
Ive been trying to make a mecha like cartoon that's disguised as a magical girl cartoon
but is always nice to see how far i made it
Answer the question
Get the mega link in the OP of the artbook thread on /ic/, read the books provided and practice every day for at least an hour. Don't be afraid of taking breaks if you feel burnout, but don't get lazy. Set small goals and smash them, stuff like "I'm going to draw 20 boxes in perspective" or "I'm going to draw one thing from life every day for a week." Keep it up and compare your new work with past work if you feel stunted, a lot of artists get depressed because they think their art still sucks after weeks or months of practice but they just gain a more critical eye for errors. Have fun!
Here's my drawing of Patrick
I remember seeing your stuff. Unless there's another wolf space cop character around here.
Any of this guy's adventures hosted anywhere?
here's the most recent thing i drew. original characters are basically all i draw nowadays, which is unfortunate because nobody cares about them, but it's fun so whatever.
im triying too, but i lost the path real quick or i get bored.
I thought it was self explanatory.
Though it's probable he would.
Yeah, because of this
Im probably going about it the wrong way but it feels like I'm "cheating".
Does anyone else's like when you draw a skeleton frame of your figure, you must obsessively stick to the lines you initially drew?
Thanks for the advice. I really want to get good at drawing and will look into these suggestions. Brings some hope that I can get good.
You should get past that, because figires have muscles and skin
Looks more like a fit nig in a fat suit
I used to feel that even using a pencil and erasing was "cheating". I dont know where I developed that retarded notion but
The head and body should also be bobbing
youtube.com
Well great, i can't find my fucking drawings. God i hate myself.
I'm just gonna go die inside, goodnight everybody
here is a controversial piece of advice and im sure many will argue against me in this thread, but dont be afraid of copying someone else's style. at least as training wheels.
the first hurdle to overcome is finding the motivation so you should start first and foremost drawing what you like, what you want to draw, almost every artist started copying their favourite anime or something like, that, god knows i started as a bootleg copy of makani and phobs.
it helps you get comfortable with a pen, it gives a first training to your hand muscles and it helps you streamline your lines and get rid of the chicken scratches which is see you have a problem with. as long as you understand is just a crutch that you will eventually have to grow out of it is a fine first approach to hand-eye coordination, after all what you are doing is refining you capacity for observation and replication, even if it is with someone else's drawings.
once you are comfortable drawing what you like then you start training with the classics, going back to basics, training perspective, loomis, etc
Remember that skill is just passion plus patience. Slowly but surely.
And if you read some of the books or watch a tutorial; try not to just do the activity, try to understand what the activity is trying to teach you. Internalize it.
One of my OC villians
thanks for the advice
Yeah I upload to "JTF3" at DA or "Human" at FA
Yeah, ultimately you have to realize what is that you like about art, and why do you want to do art.
Copying something you really like by itself wont do you good tho, you must also try to deconstruct the works you enjoy to find the reasons you do so; it can help you to find your own click and art style.
thats awesome I actually look at album art when I need to be inspired
I like the stylization on yor facial features
Expressiveness is always good to see
I've been working on my lining now that I miraculously edited a pen to the exact way I find intuitive
dude drawing women is so fukin difficult
It took me 2 weeks of drawing “females” consistently every day before I got anything I could be proud of
I really cant, I only draw porn, and not very well at that.
Not exactly a recent body of work, but w/e
Can't figure out her hair.

Also squid shit is always welcome in my book
I really like how much character/personality I see in them. Good job.
I'm tryna learn how to do proper anatomy as of now, then maybe after that I'll try to make the looks of my characters more consistent
how does that can have so good lining? i see their drawings and they like it was made with a single draw.
I used to think for the longest time that I didn't have my own style because I only drew fanart. But then after a while I was sort of able to see that I did have my own quirks that I didn't even realize and made my art more distinct than I thought it was. Just keep drawing, that's really all I can say. Draw what you like, reference what you want, eventually you'll see a style emerge, you can't force it.
Solid, but this character of yours seems to have quite a habit of terribly dying
is this a guro thing
pure muscle memory, is like playing piano or riding a bycicle or juggling, eventually your arms automatically do 80% of the job without you even realizing
i really, really like these
digging this style from what i can see, you got any more user?
yes
I was practicing drawing SpongeBob a few days ago but ended up with this instead
Oney is that you
This has a groovy aura that I hope to one day emulate.
Buy a fine brush and practice a lot
sort of reminds me of an artist named hell on earth, really dig the style. only guro thing ive ever seen thats cute
another one
apparently I can only draw popular characters when they're standing next to unholy abominations for some reason
I wish I was half as gud as that guy
Excuse the shitty quality, my camera is shit.
why's she have a witch nose?
This is great
Got a bit of stuff. Mostly /tg/ requests
I really like your artstyle
And last one. Nighty Knight
The angles wrong on this one. Again, sorry
this guy is so cool
¿why?
And that's all I'm willing to share. The rest are too shit, not that the others already aren't (especially compared with work like )
Thanks. I probably wouldn't be making comics if I didn't have someone else writing them.
Maybe.
Thanks. He had a big sword at first, but I thought that looks a bit too generic. I think it works best for him.
Thanks.
@jmdurden
thank you!
Thinking about starting a comic about this dude
You got more of this?
here's a wendigo
Maaaan. Looking through all of these, I thought it would have been tedious to reply to all of you, but I just wanted to say that most of you, no, all of you have made some really fantastic art with potential to become something greater!
Keep it up, drawfags!
based and wholesomepilled
I did this squigly wearing Senketsu fanart
>tfw can't fucking draw
I was drawing this for a thread until I realized how much I hate inking. I have no stylus, I have no money, and I'm 90% sure I'd be done already if I had just used a goddamn pencil and paper.
>drawing comes naturally from the birth
i like this character i made
>Anyone else have this weird obsession with avoiding using reference?
Yes, it is only natural to feel that you should be able to draw anything without a reference if your good. Truth is, you should use a reference point. At least until you pounded into your head and muscle memory the form you see.
She looks like she's about to detonate.
Ate too many tacos.
Unfinished but, I thought it looked cool.
Ghostrider with a Jack-o-lantern.
I was in a bit of a JL mood.
Why does it come out sideways
Anyway here's more
I doodled some fantasy bottles. They look uncomfortable to both hold and pour but it was fun.
Posting from work
Cute style, I want to pet floofy hair
This looks cool. You have more art?
>tfw too western to hang out with the weebs but too weeb to hang out with the cartoonists
Art elitism is for losers. You are welcome here.
shit i never finished
Thanks, that means a lot user
Thank you, old man. Needed that.
Ideal gf
I made this 2 years ago i think.
Now that Chat Blanc is a confirmed episode for season 3 i wonder if i should come back to this idea.
Dumb shit I doodled a few days ago
Lol, no. Just something I did for when I saw the show get announced
hot
OC character I've been working on
Here's some Spider-Man studies I did as well
Yeah, look up SwainArt. I have a DA, Twitter, and Tumblr.
Had to stop for a while when I had to draw the hair because I never seem to get it right.
>Laughing Salesman
Nice.
How do you draw like that? You know, purely with colours, more like painting? Do you apply a base coat of one colour as a template and then add more on top?
the big shape looks fine, maybe you need to start separating it to the more specific shapes
More like vagneto right guys haha right
I'm gonna work on a webcomic I've been planning to do and have had fun drawing and doodling these characters the past 2 years!
Cute! Good luck bro. One of these days I'll have the courage to draw my five years' worth of writing.
Kissable lips
Here's my unfinished interpretation of a female predator. I probably won't finish it though since I won't be able to use it anymore.
I've got some more crap if anyone's interested.
Post it mate
Aight. This one was a request from a vampire thread a week or so ago, Serana with a predator. I forgot to shade her cape.
This one was a request from a while ago. The characters are from the old "Shirley vs Sally" life savers advert.
Mini Princess doing the Koichi pose.
I haven't been drawing a lot recently but I finished this I guess
I've been creating this for the day when the Kamalafags force her so much and the mods send us to /trash/, any advice?
A musclegirl lamia from Okayado's MonMusu, specifically an echidna since I thought it worked. Ignore the pink lines, they're just planning out clothes.
That tail is fucking torture to do.
An Yea Forums request, Tio from MonMusu after a shower. My first time drawing a back, pretty shit but ok for a first try.
one day i'll make something bout these ocs, watch out
f me that's a large photo
scawy
A /u/ drawing of Violet and Rose from that Incredibles comic. I don't actually care about Incredibles at all, I just made this for trolling purposes in Incredibles threads.
Something I made for MHA Quest over on /qst/. It turns out that my crappy design actually became Ushi's official costume, which was nice to discover.
Maybe I'll get good enough one day to make a webcomic or something.
Another MHA Quest fan art. Ushi demonstrating her Quirk. You know, I sometimes think back to using physical art supplies and using an ipad to draw kind of feels like cheating. Anyone else get this?
Well, I have more but I'm tired now. G'night, Yea Forums.
Being good is one thing, being committed is another.
Only do it if you truly believe you will follow through.
Otherwise, stick to small strips.
I've been doing some doodles of characters from a story I'm working on. Some good, some not.
I like this
advice welcome
My drawing is better than anyone else's on this thread
That's a cute Aeris
Give Kamala the Golem Kamala face?
why is it upside down, i uploaded from desktop wtf
have you ever felt like no matter what you draw, its feel the same? the same essence from it.
people would to love to be unique but not me.
i would kill to be a chameleon when it comes to drawing.
webcomic panel wip
>Being good is one thing, being committed is another.
>Only do it if you truly believe you will follow through.
I have no problem following through. I'm just not at the level that I want to be at in terms of art to make the series that I want. I need to practice more, every day.
Maddie Fenton , not too good at mimicking Hartman's style but i tried to get as close as possible
duhhhhhhhhh
Also Chel
Chinese boxing enthusiast from an adventure movie I plan to write. He's a good boy.
and some original the characters
These are legit good, user
Shitty tiny scanner...
I like the style. I admit to being a bit of a sucker for the "droopy eye" look
a request I did from the enter the florpus thread
>shadman
got any examples of your finished art?
That’s an easy trap to fall into. It’s good to want to get better, but I would caution against trying to get to a certain skill level before starting. It’s easy to start moving goalposts on yourself and stop yourself from ever actually doing anything.
Sometimes jumping in and learning on the go is okay.
I have plain paper, but it's not the paper that's right next to me.
This is the only finished art that I made so far. I'm new.
Not actually mine, but my brother's. I've never been able to match up to his ability to put his imagination to paper so I lived vicariously through him.
Not sure why it came out upside down, since the thumbnail looks correct.
A /tg/ thing I have on the go
handle/blog?
I ran out of pencils so I can't draw anymore
That is the dumbest excuse i have ever heard
I started inking a small comic.
The real excuse is that I'm lazy and have no pencils to draw with. Pens scare me.
Draw with a stick in the sand, with paint, with your own shit. Whatever. Just DRAW NIGGA DRAW
ok user. I'll draw just for you. Soon, I'll be able to draw all the big anime tiddies I want. MWAHAHAHA
A buddy and me have created so many characters together that I'll never be able to get around to telling all the sagas...so I just make faux covers
preliminary pencils that I will trace onto Bristol board.
Im kind of working on the creation myth for a story Ive been putting together for a while now, I was given the advice to start from the beginning, so I took that to heart and thought that maybe a storyboard of the whole creation myth will help me out of my current block.
Its about this colossal creator that escapes the Gorge and meets a timeless ocean ( which is the home to the gorgekin, kind of like fish/serpent humanoids, thats what it is looking at on the bottom of the page)
Then he goes on to create the world out of his limbs and flesh and blood, it'll be very clive barker-esque when I make it to that point.
I love creation myths. That was my first priority too.
Good thinking. I struggled with writing for a bit until I learned the top to bottom rule, laid a good foundation to keep the motifs and themes throughout my stories consistent.
Something something evil vs light
Something something mcguffin that causes trouble in the future..
Nice butt
I swear I'm going to try and finish these things this week
Here's a guy for a story i'm [preparing] to write. He's a bad guy btw. Not great art, but I like how he turned out.
looks like jojos
i wish i could draw
Start learning now
They're robots, but you are kinda right. I really like drawing robots like stands, and it's weirdly one of my better subjects.
One of the main reasons I felt I needed to do a creation story was to explain why a Furry setting also had normal animals. That always drives me crazy.
I made a video with this art with simple, sparse motion tweens and even that was an unbearably long process. I can't imagine trying to make an actual cartoon.
Simple but appealing style, would read comic
BASED
>woman on 2^2chan
Nice, we need more high fantasy comics.
Not necessarily Yea Forums but oh well
>Draw for my job all day
>Get home
>Want to do anything other than draw
Shit sucks anons. This is from like months ago, never even finished it.
Wish I could do a halo comic
Why? You already bullied the pen
I like it
Grass is always greener but at least you get to draw all day.
Looking nice.
I can hear Jolyne Kujo.
Something I've been working on, either to publish asa fanzine, or for small editorials....
that hatching on the pants looks mighty fine my dude
Oh, wasn't expecting such a quick reply. Thanks buddy, I was going to make black pants, but I thought:"Nah, black leather jacket and white pants would be a nice combo".
Here's some more, I've yet to finish inking, currently drawing some porn tho.
It looks pretty cool, read the graphic novel?
Why not? the art is definitely Yea Forums even if the subject material is Yea Forums
Initial page for a comic idea i had. Got scraped after this page because i realosed i was a shit writer and had no idea where to go beyond my initial concept
the only part of the sketch i kinda liked
It's very fairy tale-ish. What's the story about, user?
I'm doing a fashion drawing what do you lads think?
Very Cool Grug, gives me Lupin the third and 70's Scorcese vides
Man, I wish I didn't get so fucking lazy with my art output. I used to make comics and shit all the time when I was a kid, I look at them now and the writing is horrible, but at least I made something. Now I'm exponentially better but I'm crippled by perfectionism and I can't help but see how mediocre it is, and in the end I have nothing to show for it.
Bryan Lee was right, it's easier to do this shit when you're young enough because you just wanna fucking do it and everyone has to see your work because it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Drawing everyday and working is hell
I say still make comics, even if theyre shitty. I have the same problem with perfectionism, something is better than nothing.
10 points for anyone that remember this from Digimon World for the PSX/1?
Makes me think of John Dilworth
>can only make weird shit that everybody hates
>still feel the creative urge to make all this shit
>people beg me to stop drawing but I don't
that's great user. don't stop never stop. you think people told H.R Giger to keep drawing his creepy shit?of course not. but he owned it. keep going you fuck DON'T GIVE UP
>something is better than nothing
This is something a lot of creatives need to hammer in, or at least something I really struggled with. It's not uncommon for people to get complacent in their comfort zone and fear rejection or criticism for what they really wanna work towards, so they wait until they're "ready" before they start animating or making comics or whatever. Trying to be perfect at figure drawing and perfect with perspective and perfect at coloring and lighting will just lead to frustration, maybe don't immediately start with your ultimate dream project as your first foray but if you wait until you're "ready" then shit just won't get done.
trying to get colors nailed down for these before shading and such
drimogemon yo
PixelHat
or "midget fucker" as im lovingly called here for some reason
it's that sweaty fuck that drills tunnels in a volcan, can't remember it's name. he would probably look like that nowdays tho
oh shit user. that's a cool ass dragon rider. are these really yours? i love them
this thread reminds me of how much i’ve been slacking off at making “presentable” art/sketches
Well I did some Mega Man requests the other day so here's one of them.
You do you, man. Be the next Giger.
SICK, ink it for the love of God.
I care, user.
I'm making stickers for Hatty Time.
Fucking furfag
Work on your body posture, the right leg is broken and the left arm looks like it lacks a bicep
That's some good shit right there.
If I may, if you figure writing is an issue, just go ham with something with little to no writing behind it. My comic has none and is just a side thing while I work on bigger comics.
Thanks. I'm a horrible inker, but I guess we'll see if I take a stab at it later.
That doll would go on adventures on a nightmare world filled with monsters
and abominations, surviving merely because its functionally immortal and can alter its body by stitching things in and out.
I thought of doing that but i felt it would result in a mess of a story and in turn just wind up being a waste of time
I guess I should rephrase to add "and don't worry about the end result". I gave up on an earlier work after the first chapter, but I could prolly get use out of it when I finish some other stuff. I figure more go wild with just do it for practice. Get some stuff with little to no writing and work it up as you see fit to work on your writing. Do it just as storyboards or with quick shit art and make the little writing carry it so you get a good feel of it.
thanks. been trying to do monster designs every week
adorable user
thanks for the crit. her left hand is also a bit jank and im sure the perspective and construction on the gun is a bit fucked
i need to get better at doing paper sketches because shit like that always happens and the poses are too basic and stiff. i usually draw and redraw a lot digitally, but doing that on paper just fouls up the paper after a while
Dang user. I love these.
My collaborator drew these as brief concept exploration for next phase of our webcomic.
from a couple years ago
I want an animated adaptation of the epic of Gilgamesh
Top two are drawings I made following a Chris Hart book
Bottom left are two I made from a theme selection program (One was a greek farmer, and the other was a roman citizen carrying a banner)
And the right is a logo/picture I made for a conspiracy club.
It feels like its so much easier to draw something good when copying it from a source material (like the two top ones) but I want to be more original and make pieces from my own free hand.
Only been "serious" about trying to learn to draw for the past year and a half so far. Figure it would be a good way to practice being creative.
got an Instagram dude? love this stuff
>Golem Kamala face
what?
Last thing I drew was a card for a friend that went to Egypt. I've been not drawing that much lately.
Tall guy in the middle looks like lovable, oafish former Disney stooge, Michael Eisner
I also have some older marker sketch stuff handy.
>living spring made of teeth
Damn, never would have thought of that.
Nice work man!
Just trying to get better in general. I Think my faces are getting more consistent
This is gorgeous.
Do not, for your own sake, follow "how to draw" books. They are, from what I've seen, universally shit and made to appeal to children who are into the genre and want to draw their favourite characters but can't.
I start off with drawing the face and the shadows with a dark color. After that I make a separate layer below the first one to paint the midtones. Then I merge the layers and add details, highlights and lighten some of the shadows if necessary.
It's kinda similar to how some people make oil paintings like in this video: youtube.com
Thanks I appreciate it! With work I've not been drawing a lot lately but I want to get more stuff done.
I know that feel bro. Hope you manage to find the time to draw some more, I really dig your style. Makes me wanna dust off my markers and try to suck less shit at traditional coloring.
Before I make a full drawing of a character, I always like to do a sketch drawing of the character first, so I can get the feeling of the drawing, and what I want from it. Here's my warm-up sketch of Star Butterfly.
Making a thumbnail for a let's play, its a bit stiff but I want to get it to out and to get my rhythm so I can be less stiff again.
She looks adorable as hell man, hope those stickers go well for you and are high quality bro.
Started doing some digital stuff with it but it is still just in the "sketch phase"of it all. Doing all this with a mouse.
Hey that one looks cool does your inspiration come from canadian animated tv?
This hit close to home.
Inspired by Castlevania, I want to make my own adventure-horror games but using Islamic and Arabic imagery rather than Christian (so different djinn and other ghouls would be enemies) so i wanted to sketch the protag
got kinda bored drew my swg character
The sad thing is, I only got started with this shit because it was a fun thing for me and by good friend to engage in together.
He was supposed to be the writer and I would be the artist but I ended up doing it all and there's been almost no progress.
I've got so many "series" in mind but not enough time to do them all
also I made this in a fit of bored confusion
heya user, what’re you using for your digital? I might be in the market for such a thing later
also you got a good sense of shading in my limited opinion
You should try sketching circles, works as a decent template for all manner of body parts and lets you mold and shave it into the shape you desire, helped me improve quickly on head and eye sketching
I'm using openCanvas5.5e.
I keep feeling intimidated by /ic/ and the drawthread, I'm worried my art is still considered somichu tier, should I even post?
It’s always a little intimidating, but biting the bullet and getting criticized will go a long way to your self improvement
You should remember that you being satisfied with your own creation comes first though, so you can always wait and develop your craft until you reach that point
A bump for interest
Most of my shit is too lewd for a blue board
Yo im saving this it looks sick
Eh fuck it why not. I gave up on drawing or any other artistic endeavors a few months back so here is one the last things I put effort into
I'm enjoying this thread.
>haven't done any sketching in months
>see this thread
thanks Yea Forums, every time I get stuck in a rut you always help me out of it
cute
Are you happend to be a muslim,i also a muslim as well so you can tell are you a muslim or not.

i haven't really drawn much in like forever.
She’s a dragon that likes to hang around arcades and collect tokens until she gets kicked out, she also has a human disguise
so where do you post your foot fetish art?
If you like to draw cute girls stop drawing cute girls everyone else already draws cute girls it's time to learn how to draw things that aren't cute girls. Please don't become a cute girl drawer.
I'm trying to create a 'water themed' guy, but i haven't really settled on a design or a theme. I want it slim and minimal but I also need to sell the water part so that's why there's fins, but I'd like to think I got a decent body shape down. Yeah edgy pose I know but he's supposed to be the edgy friend.
seconded
Working on some art for a zine/mini comic i want to make. I rarely draw vehicles so this was pretty ambitious for me. Also I'm not used to drawing so many characters in one piece so there's that. It's coming along.
for a local contest,
I really do need to get back to my on hiatus webcomic :c
Well here goes nothing, something I did a few months ago
Fucking sick, user
Just love to doddle in class
Been drawing thicc spooky babes
I finished the bottom right sketch a while back
You're right. I'm still going to, but you're right.
Just fooling around, because Saint Seiya was a topic this week.
You know he kinda look like his in My Hero Academia anime style.
Great art skill though.
It's all about fundamentals
>That art style.
Do i know you sonewhere like in Tumblr.
not really Yea Forums, but I thought I'd share. trying to experiment with using Photoshop's mixer brush.
I don't really know how to draw yet, so far I've been practicing retooling old Sailor Jerry pinups into characters I like
last night I did kylie griffin from extreme ghostbusters
also, recommended tablet programs? right now I'm using fire alpaca
I just can't get it right.
Are you going off a ref?
What's this pose trying to do?
no ref.
He's falling down.
I wouldn't know but I guess exaggerating the foreshortening and uncluttering the silhouette might be of some help.

I think you’ve got a good grasp so far, appealing head shape and facial features are positioned well, learning how to break out of the chicken scratch technique would be worthwhile though, or how to outright erase it if you’d prefer that
>tfw can't even draw as good as OP
When doing extreme angles, it helps to break down the figure into simple boxes and work out the perspective from there. Things that are closer to the camera will be bigger, and sometimes they will be REALLY big. It can be tricky, because you kinda have to unlearn everything you know about the human figure and its proportions and just trust the logic of it. A foot is not twice the size of a person's head normally, but it can appear that way under certain circumstances.
When it comes to forshortening things like limbs and torsos, draw rings around them to give them a sense of volume. I've noticed it helps dispell that "holy shit this is not what an arm looks like," reaction your brain tends to do.
dilate
looks great. how did you learn to draw so good? or were you self taught?
nice
