Ignoring extreme toon physics stuff like Jimmy Neutron, Egon is objectively the greatest Yea Forums scientist. He has equivalent feats to Dexter,Reed Richards, Hank Pym, Rick and Tony Stark. More than that he was able to essentially lay the foundations for a whole new field of science and made working equipment despite barely having experience with ghosts before the movies. Hell the dude had a working pke meter before they saw their first confirmable ghost.
