I read House of X and for me it's super meh. But I'm not an X-men fan and haven't regularly read the X-Books since Jim Lee left.

But it feels like a 90s book and it had no major X-men moments. magneto, wolverine, jean grey and Charles Xavier was the only ones that appeared briefly.

Check out Doctor Strange (also by Waid, who wrote HotMU) if you like his more classic stories

I'm no X-Men fan and I thought it was quite possibly one of the best books I've read this year, because it appeals to the part of me that enjoys a very specific aspect of the Marvel universe: continuity, worldbuilding, and autistic charts.
That's also why I enjoy the latest stuff Waid has been involved with, and Ewing's series.

Daredevil has pretty much always been readable even at its worst. The last couple runs have been pretty good and done relatively new things with the character as well. The current storyline is dealing with the fact that Matt accidentally murdered somebody because he came back from an injury too early and wasn't on his A game.

OP I'm recommending the new Conan the Barbarian ongoing. This is my favorite title from the big 2, the one that gets me the most jazzed to read month-to-month, and I think it's criminally slept on on Yea Forums (probably because they have a hate-boner for Aaron.)

But it's clear Aaron is a big Conan fan and the book reflects that. Pic related was a particularly enjoyable story. It's basically Conan as Batman. Nuff said

It was ok. Asking for an earnest opinion about a Jason Aaron book on Yea Forums is a mistake, they'll just say it's shit no matter what.

Read it and decide for yourself.

The problem here is that Aaron wrote during the last decade some of the most prominent characters and in return, they became sort of the "new status quo" for them. Hulk, Ghost Rider, Thanos, Thor (obviously) and Doctor Strange... So all the writers who come after him either followed upon his ideas or did full continuity clean-up, reverting them to how they used to be.
In the case of Aaron, Waid's Strange is a complete return to form, it's closer to Classic Strange with his own spin (since he brings the cosmic side with him). Those who do not agree or don't like Waid's and can't recognize these things, it's simply because they didn't read anything prior to Aaron, and are also used to Cates run (who followed Aaron's take).

I didn't like Aaron's take because it grounded him too much and basically introduced a bunch of things that lessened the character's reach and influence in ways that weren't needed.

That's seems like a fair overview. I just love Strange comics for its dealings with demons and wild art. Wasn't even sure how I felt about Waid going cosmic at first because it kinda got away but I liked what he did with The Doctor is Out enough to give it a go.
