I felt like they were trying their best but failed miserably regardless.

It was great to see them all become villains. There were ao many highlights like when they completely murdered a justice league from another world before blowing their planet up and the brutal fight to the death between iron man and cap at the very end.

Yea Forums definitely hated this run when it was coming out.

I thought it was great and Secret Wars was a great conclusion to the run.

Strange sold his soul to cthulhu for the power to destroy a world on his own, though he was stopped from doing that, he still managed to kill superman. Nobody else on site could have done that.

I too enjoyed The Illuminati vs the Squadron Supreme (The not Justice League). Black Bolt knocking out Doctor Spectrum and Strange using some of his darker magic was lit.

Only near the end. The first half, until Infinity, people were going "no, it's totally going to be awesome, HYPE!" and then it turns out to be another Reed/Doom shit.

It was a great run with a lackluster ending. It spent years building a plot then barely used it because it didn’t care about the ending so much the event that came after it.
