THE CRACK OF DOOM!
From Christopher Cantwell (HALT AND CATCH FIRE, SHE COULD FLY) comes a new monthly ongoing series…
Victor Von Doom – scientist, sorcerer, disfigured face, twisted soul – has been spending much of his time warning against a trillion-dollar global effort to create the first “artificial” black hole. Wrestling with visions of an entirely different life…a better future…DOCTOR DOOM finds himself at a crossroads. (what is he questioning?)
A catastrophic act of terrorism kills thousands, and the prime suspect is… DOOM? Victor will have to push his unexplained thoughts aside and focus on remaining alive as the title of “Most Wanted Man” is thrust upon him….
Left with no homeland, no armies, no allies, indeed, nothing at all, will the reign of Doctor Doom come to an abrupt halt?

beats me. I think the excuse they had back when the line started was that they were paying for full color restorations of each issue, and collectors are a small market, so they jacked the price up to compensate.
Then kept the price up over time.
QUESTION!
Is there any site to save the covers besides Newsarama. It won't register them as a JPG on a computer from that site.
Thanks.

Wait what
Yeah, on CBR: cbr.com
Any good Spider-Fan would have seen this coming. Now, I have an interesting idea. Many think she died, but there was no clear proof of it. So, if Gwen Stacy is still alive from the Clone Conspiracy, and if the Jackal somehow kept her alive; what do you want to bet that he will try to make 616-Gwen into another "Spider-Gwen"?

Apologies if I missed anything, I'm out.
I'm glad they're collecting these but I'm mainly interested in the future Volume 3, which should theoretically include the "Untold Tales of the Marvel Universe" backup stories (from #23 to #30), essential to understand Eternals, some Quasar, and even their relationship with the Inhumans.
Shame. Legitimately one of my favourite books Marvel puts out. Would recommend to anybody (if you don't mind the rules of the universe and canon being slightly malleable, which they have been for decades anyway)
Oh. Right
WHERES ALEANDRJA
Wake me up when that actually happens
But... White Fox didn't originate in Future Fight. She was around for years before being added to the game.
I haven't kept up with changing writer news, Who is replacing the Skottie young?
There isn't a replacement yet. And there's no ongoing Deadpool issue in the month's solicitations
>this should've been announced at comic-con
Are you retarded?
I don't have the spiritual fortitude to check TCJ anymore, are the comics with an x people having a meltdown over Scioli doing rehashed cape stuff using the same fucking gimmick from Family Tree? Is he a pariah now like Lemire?
Monica, no
*over Piskor
Anyone knows where are those "Mary Jane covers" mentioned?
Wow. They stopped whoring DP? The Remender to Duggan run finally lost it's magic.
That even got joe kelly back for a hot minute.
I wonder if it's because Marvel hasn't decided how to brand DP for the new movies.
newsarama has a bunch, but I went with main covers.
I don't have a pass, and posting the half that I did took over an hour anyways
Thats a shitty Prowler costume uncle Aaron
Why is one hand making pink snow?
It's been mostly because Young's run was very mild and forgettable for the most part, with Klein's art as its main selling point. Every issue was basically self-contained, with full blown Waypool and movie synergy. Dugganpool was the last great seller, and by the end of the run it had healthy sales. Duggan simply decided to end it in his own terms with the hallmark #300 issue.
>ROY THOMAS (W) • ALAN DAVIS (A)

Fuck me, what a team.
What about someone with the name Pornsak?
It's considered an X-book, and all X-books were cancelled. The first wave of X-books post HoX/PoX is team books. Solos will be in the second wave.
>4 issues in and she's still fighting Bullseye
Yesss Mr. Lao
While DP has a mutant/mutate abilities, the entire joke of his existence is he isn't an X-man, so why is he being lumped in with them now? He used to be considered separate. I get why they would for marketing reasons but he used to be mostly his own thing.
No I get it, he wrote for over 5 years and had a lot of great issues across multiple series, it's just weird to think of deadpool's rebirth only lasting..a little under ten years across 4 series.
I thought it was under Avengers editorial?
I'd be very interested to see Wade involved with Hickmans stuff though. Was X-Force the last time him and the X-Men had proper interactions?
>why is he being lumped in with them now?
Same reason Deadpool was part of the X-men rights package. He may not be a mutant, but he has no shortage of ties to them.
fuck yeah ribic cover
I know but I meant more with how editoral always treated him separate. obviously he has grown more and more into mutant side of things, hanging around domino, having mutant kids etc. X-Force, Cable,
Prestige format? It's goddamn 96 pages.
Are they releasing all issues at the same time?
Weekly
>Werewolf MJ.
If only she got to keep her mind, then Yea Forums would go mad.
Where is my Fantastic Four / Avengere by Hickman reprint?
Most of the writers seems good and it might actually turn out good.
>all these spider books
sucking the money pipe dry, marvel
Weren't his Avengers already collected in full?
But yeah, I think another volume of his Fantastic Four is left, only two so far and the second one in this pic actually comes out next month.
they should put avengers/new avengers together in a trade
If there was ever something that needed a nude edit..
>The most anticipated comic event of the year
That's not another issue of the Immortal Hulk.
there's always ultimate demogoblin for that
>Two zombie books at the same time
But why?
I need those Omnibus bro but I aint paying $500 each.
Me neither, I'm saving some money to buy the trades. I got the Annihilation reprint trades they released last year (or was it this one?) and they're really gorgeous, yet Marvel is reprinting the omnibus in December.
>it's just weird to think of deadpool's rebirth only lasting..a little under ten years across 4 series
Deadpool's gauranteed to get another ongoing soon. It's very unlikely we'll get another run on Posehn or Duggan's caliber, but the only character with a movie that doesn't have ongoing immunity is Ant-Man, everyone else is safe from cancellation.
iktf
lol twink candy
Bleeding Cool noted that one of the MJ variant covers unveiled during SDCC was for an issue of Deadpool so it's likely he isn't part of the Wave 2 X-Boot and is probably getting a relaunch next month.
(I suspect it was intended for this month but got delayed).
As for why the run was canceled they attribute it to Young's soft sales and not the reboot. Apparently, it's been in planning for a while
Devil Hulk vs King Thor when?
Skottie young was just a bad fit and his only decent issues were just duggan-lite stories with his writing in character mouth's, hell even his finale is just trying to connect back to duggan
Only read the first issue and it felt like the movies but worse, so I wouldn't know. Did read about the Killpuddle joke which made me laugh though.
I think that's all of them
it's the Batman/Joker philosophy
Young was given a shitty hand, having to deal with the stupid mindwipe shit.
That's just a blank slate. Duggan protected his brand from other shitty writers, which was a great move, then this guy spent all of his time trying to hide under his skirt.
>GRAND DESIGN franchise continues
Why does Marvel have to run everything in to the ground?
Imagine a Dodson shota spider harem book
>SALVADOR LARROCA (A)
Aw man.
Put this another way, you're given a blank slate with a popular character and are told you can do whatever you want. I garauntee you would do better than this guy and you're just some random user.
Some people are just more bankrupt creatively when given a blank slate.
I agree many writers would do better, but random user is maybe pushing it a bit.
Fuck.
Better than him being black Iron Spider or whatever that was.
Considering the sheer amount of ideas i've seen from random user's over the years that were much better than what was out there.
I'd trust it. The greatest filter for bias and agenda is constantly at war here where everything is put out there. it makes for a kind of honesty. Think of it like lancing a hundred lies into a single idea to get at the core of truth and finding out how easy it is to make a simple story that is engaging. I like to think of it as a crucible.
I wanted to like this book, but the colorist ruined it. You can tell that there is some good line work, but the colors look like they were done by someone who just learned about Photoshop.
I honestly forgot there's a cap book going on right now.
It's pretty good mate.
You know, the first issue wasn't too bad.
I think I'll start pulling this.
Oh yeah, this is a thing isn't it?
While I think the story is repeating ifself again it is doing well enough to be be cancelled.
NANI?
didn't he get eaten by a giant worm in the soul stone
>Wiccan is the only one covered by the logo

>Leah "unfunny titcow" Williams

>shota spider
You and everyone who wants Spider-Man to be a fucking tyke are everything wrong with comics.
yessssssssssssss its like my anime
>Wolverine on the cover
It'll sell.
>Finally get Zub back to do some comic work
>it's this shit
Litteraly only the one person who enjoyed playing her on Ps4 asked for this
Wait nevermind. Why the fuck was I confusing Jim Zub with Zeb Wells?
Zub
Zeb
And that Zub referenced Zeb Wells' Nova recently.
I miss Zeb.
>whole new world
Mutants colonize the moon?
>Young Gayvengers and Hawkgirl
Kinda wish they left DH1 dead
Oh shit this still a thing? I thought it was going to get cancelled. Either way I am happy it's continuing.
The ass was phat
It's so fucking obvious Sacks ran out of ideas for Old Man Quill and he's just pulling shit from whatever.
If he had just done a bleak post-apocalyptic story but in Space and focused how the UCT fucked over space similar to how Earth was fucked up by villains and how that affected the cosmic characters. Then maybe it would have been better.
Yeah this is ending, Kamala, Riri, and Miles will survive, probably Viv and Cho, but everyone else here is on limbo.
It rings of cancellation though, same as Champions. Sadly both series have low sales.
Should've been less issues. I admit I haven't kept up with it (mainly because of the decompression) but I didn't feel like there was anything worth following in the book once they arrive to Earth and randomly roam around, instead of exploring the cosmos in the "Old Man" universe.
>reminder that Jess is back in that costume because Howard used to cosplay as her and thinks it's cute
People were bitching at her which is why she brought the cosplaying thing and Severin designing Jessica as the reason she made her go back to that costume. It shut the "that costume is sexist!" idiots up.
She also thinks Adam Warlock is hot so she's cool in my book.
>Nova in the cover
What sorcery is this?
>People were bitching at her which is why she brought the cosplaying thing and Severin designing Jessica as the reason she made her go back to that costume. It shut the "that costume is sexist!" idiots up.
I didn't know any of this, and makes me respect her more. Funny thing is, I usually push back towards those who constantly complain about "non-sexy costumes" because I frankly don't give a shit (unless they're ugly, but that's another matter), but I don't mind if they're sexy providing there's a balance between practicality and titillation. And if she thinks it works, then good, it does. Better to have a qualified opinion than randomly seethe at the lack of thongs and D-cups.
Final issue? I guess making this a mini was a good move. If people want more they should buy it. Also Kate being written by someone other than Thompson is good.
>Dr. Necker is back
Nice, when was the last time she showed up? Nova.
>Then, classic character Namora takes center stage in the ultimate beach read!
Her daughter is back, Namor is fucking crazy and converting land dwellers into Atlanteans, is Namora going to the beach for funsies seriously the greatest story they can do with her?
Does superior has one ?
By 'one' I mean Mj special cover
So is the art still being done by the godawful artists in the first issue?
These are cute.
That is one weird team
Necker was in Revolutionary War.
Since they've upped the price count, they really should have just included UXM #201 in this fucker for the sake of completists.
UXM #201 is Scott going into retirement and the last pre-X-Factor issue of the series. Would allow people to just pretend the later volumes never happened.
But a good chunk of those volumes are OOP and barring another round of softcover releases, will never go back into print; forcing you to buy the Epics, Omnibuses, or Essentials.
Really fucking hope they include the Namor issues dealing with the cliffhanger from Power Man/Iron Fist #125 when the final volume comes out.
Jesus fucking Christ, really fucking wish they would just do a multi-volume TPB for Fatal Attractions, the same way they re-issued the Fall of the Mutants and Inferno omnibuses as a two volume collection.
Also, they have high prices to justify keeping the line going for the die-hards who prefer the MMW line over the other formats. With the justification being that MMWs are for the high end comic collectors while the omniibuses and Epics are for the pleebs.
Marvel is publishing too many books
Love the EC comics layout
Same if the costume looks good I don't care if it's sexy or not but I hated how people gave shit to Jessica's old costume when they treated Anka's like it was this godly design when it was pretty boring as fuck and generic (and probably going to be very dated in a decade or so (just like those ugly sidecuts and mostly bald cuts will be the 2010's mullet).
And with a few modifications Anka's costume could have been better but fuck the way it is is boring and doesn't say Spider-Woman like Severin's costume did. Glad it's coming back.
Severin's costume doesn't really say spider
You could call her McDonalds Woman and it'd be as apt
God it’s like the story that never ends. How long has this ‘Cap framed for murder’ story been going on?
I knew people were jumping to conclusions when they thought Spencer had killed him off.
This one takes place after he's done with the framing though, now he has to clear this name and likely deal with the Power Elite.
Is this the final arc, or is Aphra going to make Vader look like a chump three times in a row?
Remind me again, why are they randomly killing off Rocket?
Yea but it’s still part of the same story which puts this completely out of sync with everything else just like his Black Panther was with the Space Wakanda stuff
>lost the allies closest to him,
100% RIP mania, fuck
What the FUCK, no Waid? I hope this doesn’t mean he won’t be out for the inevitable relaunch
Because folks won't stop complaining about MCU pandering and synergy in the Guardians so they decided to kill off Drax and Rocket, give Groot the ability to talk, and temporarily made Gamora a genocidal warlord who snapped half of the universe
He's a literal neonazi.
So is Jimmy Woo basically Asian Nick Fury now?
It's recently redeemed Age of X-Man Evan's Dad Apocalypse
I'm awaiting Blob's return myself.
These Hotz covers are consistently tasty. Wish he was doing some interiors for the tie-ins.
>Ottley's drawing Carnage
Time for Radioactive Spider-Blood!
She basically has two different ice powers.
So I guess Hulk is the Galactus of the Ninth Eternity? Lol.
>it's because the characters have already failed, this is them just trying to recoup some losses. thematically none of them fit.
Citations?
>a new Captain Britain holds the amulet
Great. So they are fucking Brian over after all.
That's what he's always been
No, he's always been Asian-AMERICAN Nick Fury.
Gwen & Peter team-up when?
I concur. The ending of the run is so damn good/painful, I don't think anyone could have followed it up besides Ewing
Fuck yes!
What a terrible synopsis, I'm not gonna bother with Spidergwen anymore.
It'll sell of course I'm just blown away at the decision to reprint a run that stands out as one of the worst X-Men runs ever
It's no long the absolute worst if some people are to be believed about Rosenberg's run
As if Slot pays any attention to others comics.
His butthurt ass.
Well that escalated quickly.
it's not that bad
New Avengers and Avengers were collected in separate TPB/HCs up until "Time Runs Out"; at which point Marvel just did four small collections reprinting the final story.
They also did two omnibuses, which doesn't use the commonly accepted reading order for the run BUT not only includes Infinity but is the only place you can read Infinity with all of the crossover bits from New Avengers/Avengers in proper reading order (the original HC only sticks the crossover issues in the back after the main mini).
Also, the original Hickman Fantastic Four and Future Foundation trades are long out of print.
holy shit this trasho again
when will they learn?
lmao marvel is so stupid, god
This one I will check out
Eddie bonded to Venom and Carnage, with Mania dead?
Yup, Dylan is part symbiote.
That's a shame, the first story was pretty decent.
WHY CAN'T THEY CHANGE THE ARTIST HOLY FUCK I CAN'T READ IT WITH THAT ART
Hey look, now she can be canon!
>Future Fight OCs
Bleh
RIP, Zub is really pissed at the people pirating this. At least he's now on Agents on Wakanda.
>reminder that Jess is back in that costume because Howard used to cosplay as her and thinks it's cute
Based
Bye Logan!
It's not like people are actively throwing up at the sight of this cumdumpster, keep doubling down on all of this feces marvel
What's with all this Mary Jane wank covers all of a sudden?
>filler issue for Dr Strange not even written by waid
Just give the november solicits already
This sould be sponspored by Reese's Pieces
It's not the first time. MJ has had variant covers dedicated to her before. This time she has her own solo book (miniseries) too.
You can expect many more Waidless filler issues once Waid gets his fat ass to court.
Can Marvel even do loli?
Apparently waid current run will be relaunching at #20, but I would not be surprised if he's writing the relaunch ala daredevil. Legal proceedings are usually a flurry of activity for a few days or so while being quiet the rest, so I don't think it will affect his output much (besides if he could do shit while being hopping mad at DC 90% of the time he can spare a few days)
what did she write in the past?
I hope she isn't a raging feminist or sjw
I really want to like this book but the art is so fucking bad. False advertising like this should be illegal. If you promise cheesecake on the cover you should be forced to deliver in the interior as well
nice Korean flashgame art work you got there. but you forgot the most important part. the tits
A bunch of one shots. I liked her Barbarella/Dejah Thoris mini though. And her mini for Age of X-Man wasn't bad.
nothing of that is really peaking my interest because comic art isn't allowed to be sexy anymore
If it is full of cheesecake ME
But let’s not kid ourselves. We are taking about modern marvel here.
This.
Because Cates is an idiot who doesn't understand a single thing about characterization that doesn't entail killing or radically changing a character for plot convenience. This is also the fourth issue in an arc of six where his death is used as a motivation plot (The Death of Rocket), so either he doesn't really die or he does in the most extenuating way possible to milk sales.
Fucking cheap is what it is.
>Because folks won't stop complaining about MCU pandering and synergy in the Guardians
Which is dumb because Cates' run has been full of MCU synergy, moreso them Duggan's in fact.
What the FUCK! Captain Marvel is so overdone with numero 1 issues that she's getting 2 1 issues stuck together
>Larroca
Into the trash it goes!
Why is this any less shit than when they get retards on like CM Punk to do a Drax series?
some dumb fella is gonna pay $20 to own all 5 issues of this schlock with ramos on covers
>PATRICK GLEASON (A/C)
:0
>TA-NEHISI COATES
Honestly, he's so fucking awful. At least Cates isn't boring.
...
>>TA-NEHISI COATES
>At least Cates isn't boring.
Yeah, he's just frustratingly bad. But not boring.
>Legendary creator and artist Joe Quesada has left an indelible mark on comics
True! Truly indelible! A shit stain that we'll never get rid of, even if we pay.
Pretty much this. I just want more from Coates, dammit.
>#SPIDERSONAS
Funny you want to mock that shit now, but back in December this board was full of people making their own. Talk about short memories, huh?
Atleast I'm getting to see my man, Ghost again.
>ITT: "How Has This Not Been Canceled Yet?"
What? 50 bucks for 12 pages?
Finally a Spider-Man comic!
wait...
what
HAHAHAHA
I thought that was an error until I saw
>12 gorgeous, full-color reproductions
>Annabelle Riggs
Sometimes, the fact Ewing never forgets any character can be a curse
Team ups can still sale if they use good characters. But the new team up book only focused on sjw characters once again
Has issue 1 been released already?
Concept at least seems fun
You'd think offing OG Valk would have finally gotten rid of her but Bunn saved his OC somehow.
That was surprisingly decent, actually
>Only SJW characters
>Spider-Man
????
>Tini Howard & Pornsak PICHETSHOTE (W)
this nigga's named PORNSAK?
FUCKING PORNSAK?
and none of them peak my interest :(
No Ms Muslim. Peter was emasculated so that she could be the top hero of the story
>emasculated
Ah you're that guy.
Emasculation isn't a super obscure word user
I know well what it means, dumbass. You're just the retard who thinks every white male is emasculated and that every non-white character is sjw by default. Fuck off.
No you are just a dumbass who thinks that every poster here is the same guy. Unless you actually have something intelligent to say keep your mouth shut you schizo
so issue 5 will be All New Marvel and issue 6 will be... er... some future, but which one?
>And, most importantly, WHO IS KISSING WHOM IN THIS ISSUE?
2099
>Unless you actually have something intelligent to say keep your mouth shut you schizo
I hope the irony isn't lost on you
>Silhouette
nice
Who want to ship these two honestly?
This might actually be an interesting idea to see
True. This was a massive improvement from Bendis's trashy writing
Stop making shit up
Yay it’s still going
>Zombie is ouching dem hips
Based!
If they can do it with Molly from the Runaways and Moon Girl then why not Dan Bi?
I feel the same! Comics have been missing something ever since they were forced to be Woke. I would have probably really enjoyed comics like Black Cat or MJ if they had been released pre 2014. But with the modern forced feminist agenda they came of as soulless
You really are that much of an incel are you? They can still be sexy, but not revealing, but you sir are truly out of your time if you still believe you're in the 90's
>They can still be sexy, but not revealing
how much s o y do you get inject daily?
>Emma's a good guy again
Holy Christ, will they make up their minds?
Why do revealing outfits trigger you so much user? Are you a Muslim?
Don't you think it's super boring to see every female character get the same prudish redesigned costume? Considering how much sjws like you always cry about "diversity" you really only seem to like one type of female character and outfit. Why shouldn't some female characters still be allowed to have big breasts and deep necklines? Especially since many of said female characters used to be drawn just like that for several decades.
>The world has turned its back on her. Her powers are fading. And Carol Danvers has never felt more lost. But when a world that shunned her needs Captain Marvel, she will answer the call, because that’s what heroes do. Carol is in the fight of her life -- one that by it’s very nature must destroy her. What will be left when it’s all over?
More disappointing sales and poor story telling.
Same costume? That’s a pretty weird complaint. Even if it got more prudish most still look distinct from each other
>Especially since many of said female characters used to be drawn just like that for several decades.
You do remember the X-Men having straight up bodysuits for basically everoyne BUT Psylocke right?
>if i repeat this lie enough it will become true
not how it works, casualgate.
Please tell me she has the spider armor
>that file name
Good show op
Tony stark can stretch now! Yaaaaay
I know, I missed when this was the norm! Now comics are so full of woke sjws who want all women to wear burkas.
I really dont know. I mean if she has her spider armor then ok, but if not....
Why do they waste time on this awful character? This Dan slott self insert.
Which universe is friendly neighborhood spider-man?
the fact that people get angry about stuff like this is just blows my mind. how thin skinned have you got to be to demand for the censorship of goofy things like this
>Considering how much sjws like you always cry about "diversity" you really only seem to like one type of female character and outfit.
Right?! Nothing like the diverse costumes of yesteryear, baka I swear there's no creativity these days.
>More disappointing sales and poor story telling.
She's selling well now and it's her best run in years, but keep seething I guess.
Wait, how can spider sense work if the web of destiny was destroyed?
x-men still had exceptions like emma, storm, marvel girl, etc
also x-men were not all of marvel comics.
Now every female character looks and dresses the same
>how thin skinned have you got to be to demand for the censorship of goofy things like this
Yeah man the reason why we don't see that anymore isn't the poor anatomy and ridiculous edgy nonsense, is that Liefeld is OUTRIGHT censored and banned from the industry! That's the only reason.
Really? Let me see them numbers. I would liked to be proven wrong.
>she is selling well now
>Captain Marvel 6 $3.99 06/05/19 Marvel 31,297
bigotry of low expectations I guess
>captain marvel
>anything but casual
You do know they are still trying to sell her dolls right? They arent flying off the shelves.
Mind checking the sales for Black Panther, Captain America, Doctor Strange, etc too? You're in for a surprise.
>Captain Marvel #7 26,141
already approaching cancellation numbers
That's your example? Two females that haven't had a decent comic in years?
So I was right about disappointing sales then....
The cancellation threshold is below 15K... So no, not really.
See
Cancellation is around 15k these days
Why cant they be revealing? It's not like anything sexual is happening to them because of it.
Dude, are you really that insecure?
What makes you think I'm triggered when I see this complaint being brought up every single day for god knows how long. You need to go to a mental hospital because of how pathetic this is
You just point out the one stupid thing what makes this argument really dumb to begin with. This isn't the 90's anymore. Who cares what's done a decade ago. What would be the purpose of it right now? Can't you even make any kind of sense as to why it should be relevant. The costumes have to make sense and be more real and practical rather than be really useless and dumb. You're literally asking for ever female character to wear the exact same costume that don't really have anything to offer or serve any purpose other than to treat them as pure sex object and not treat them and anything else
Seriously, try to make some sense because this is just pure desperation from a bunch of whiney ass incels that I highly doubt ever read any comics or know how to even read. Just asking for more dumb thing for really dumb reason and not be fair. Seriously, this is just really patheitc that it's almost laughable that you people think you know shit. You people need to grow up. Either learn som literature to read comics or don't bother reading at all
My example of shitty female costumes that are palette swaps just like most of the 90's shit? Yeah. Not sure what point is you're trying to make, though?
I dont mind the down tone but I do mind artists not being allowed to make what they want.
>I do mind artists not being allowed to make what they want.
And how do you know they want to make that? Care to post any examples of artists being held back?
What would be the reason for it?
>but I do mind artists not being allowed to make what they want.
Proof of any artist currently in marvel/dc being censored?
Also have you thought that maybe artists didn't want to draw revealing cheesecake in the 90s but were forced to?
they are still disappointing sales. So welcome to equality! Some things sell and some things dont.
Nigga, Storm's most famous outfit was literally a bodysuit with a cape. Jean Grey's is a bodysuit with shoulder pads. Emma Frost was covered up for most of the 90s with the school shit. There's literally no difference between the OP and what Rogue has worn throughout most of her history, other than at times she had a coat on top. Outside of that time Reed was dead, Sue's worn a full bodysuit her entire history. Then you've got every other Avenger outside of Wanda, Tigra, Shulkie and Carol who've also been in and out of bodysuits, and even Wanda has been most of her history outside of the 90s.
Because you make a point that is so hyperbolic you dont look at the other ones. You are too hyper focused on good figures and tits.
Think disappointing these days means sub 20k, and only if you aren't an all age title as well
And they fired him too. Kinda fucked up.
>Some things sell and some things dont.
Okay? Then you don't have a point, I see.
Lots of titles are selling around 30K-40K nowadays, that's the baseline. Anything above that is exceptional: either events, miniseries, or #1s.
No, I think you got me confused with someone else.
Captain America is at 37,100 which is undeservedly high considering how shit the run is. Captain America isn't even hardly in it.
Black Panther #13 is at 21,024 and should be cancelled as well I agree. Captain Marvel is at 26k at #7 who knows how low she is going to continue to sink the next 6 issues.
Doctor Strange #15 is 23,493 and form what I heard getting a relaunch and new team to boost numbers. Again Captain Marvel already is at 26k at #7 who knows how low she is going to get if she reaches #15
Because its aesthetically pleasing to the artist. I mean he could want to make what you want there is no problem there. However you have costume changes back after the "DESEXUALIZATION" happened 3 years back.
Doctor Strange jumps to and fro arbitrarily, it'll be around 25kish next issue I bet.
Anyways while a relaunch is likely, a new team isn't confirmed
Either Superior Spider-Man is more popular than I thought it was or they're just stroking Slott's ego by keeping him around.
Earth-616.
Don't forget Scott Campell also had to censor his iron heart cover
>Again Captain Marvel already is at 26k at #7 who knows how low she is going to get if she reaches #15
You're assuming it's gonna sink when the sales have been steady, unlike her previous runs. I get that you don't know how to read the numbers and that you're not even aware of what's the baseline these days, but if you think a title at 21K like Black Panther "should be cancelled", you don't have the slightest clue about just HOW MANY titles are at 15K and still going strong.
Because he sexualized a 14 year old, you fucking idiot
I did have a point, your point earlier thinking that low sales isnt disappointing if it happens to other characters is silly.
Elektra doesn't look like that in the interior
>15k
>going strong
Maybe Marvel should stop flooding the market with absolute garbage.
gage's run is pretty good though, ock actually got some growth and is legit trying to be a hero
>No, I think you got me confused with someone else
If you responded to me then you are the person its aimed at.
liefeld literally had to censor himself when he got the chance to draw mayor x. Just compare how he used to draw domino compared to now
Psst, take a look at DC, especially the imprints.
Also, the best titles, with few exceptions, don't sell well. Unless you're saying Batman is better than the Dreaming
It's not because what you call "disappointing sales" are actually the baseline of a healthy run these days, around the 30-40K range.
Not necessarily because quite obviously your point makes absolutely no sense to what I was getting at. I was being sarcastic and you took it at face value, these costumes aren't diverse at all and you tried to claim otherwise.
No of didnt, it had the Nuh -uh hand gesture and people were trying to say its racist.
The best titles also don't come from Marvel or DC, you filthy casual.
showing belly is sexualized? I know tons of comics with topless underage boys and they didn't get censored
bruh
... No, that's not why it was censored. Are you an idiot? People complained about it because it looked like your regular Campbell pinup.
>I know tons of comics with topless underage boys and they didn't get censored
Are you for real?
That is true, and they don't top the charts either. So what are you even trying to say here?
>The cancellation threshold is below 15K
what a sad state this industry is in right now
You're not giving me an actual answer. What purpose would it bring to the story? Why bring the artist who has no real hand to the story itself?
>It's not because what you call "disappointing sales" are actually the baseline of a healthy run these days, around the 30-40K range.
So you admit 20K is disappointing, which by your graph shows last issue was getting well below 30k
It was around that for a long time. The crash really hurt distribution
That big two comics have largely sucked for a long time, and on top of that, they don't even sell.
Oh my god yes you're right! We better join casualgate and donate to the mighty Caesar so he saves comic books on our behalf!
You can bring back an old costume and still keep drawing her in a desexualized way. Just look at the Black Cat run. Literally everybody wants to like the comic but can't due to the art
>So you admit 20K is disappointing
You're ignoring the point that a lot, and I mean A LOT of series are actually below that range and still going strong, but titles around 30-40K are saved from cancellation and can go on for years if they so wish.
Nah, there are still some good titles among the big two, same for indies. Neither of them really sell well though
>Not necessarily because quite obviously your point makes absolutely no sense to what I was getting at. I was being sarcastic and you took it at face value, these costumes aren't diverse at all and you tried to claim otherwise.
It makes perfect sense, you just wont accept the fact that your taste isnt very diversified at all, and it sounds like you reee over anything that isnt PC. You are the one who is limiting thing here not me.
If that means better art and less censorship I am all for it!
Compare those two costumes, Elektra's costume in Savage Avengers is much different then that copy-and-paste 90's one. In fact it's somewhat balanced
It's because of the atrocious coloring and not the lack of cheesecake
Yeah it was, thing is you overreact to anything that seems skin tight or in any other pose.
>We better join casualgate
Sure.
>and donate to the mighty Caesar
Or crystal meth. Just as long as you're not spending it on anything other than Marvel or DC.
only euroepan comics are worth reading these days. Not only is the art far superior in every way but european comic franchises also have the decency to eventually end and come up with new stories
I was baiting to see if you'd respond positively and you did, wow. Predictable.
Okay show me a recent cover with a topless underage boy. Let's have it, then.
>not the lack of cheesecake
speak for yourself
>Nah, there are still some good titles among the big two
We both know that's not true.
I'm not even going to ask "name one", because the last seven times I've asked that exact question, some retard recommends a comic that somehow manages to be even worse than the last.
I can ask the same thing from you, how does limiting the artist tell the story?
>but european comic franchises also have the decency to eventually end and come up with new stories
Imagine being this casual that you can't distinguish that a single run or hell even arcs within those runs have a definite beginning, middle and ending.
Also, imagine ignoring that the entirety of Image exists
>only euroepan comics are worth reading these days
>the "yurocomics" meme
Nigga you can't even name which, it's always the same crap with you guys, and if you do it's always the same handful titles that come out once in a blue moon. Just admit you don't keep up with indie stuff at all from any industry, and you use "european comics" as some baseline standard just because you saw a Manara cover once.
>We both know that's not true.
Because you are just going to call everything shit due to the vendetta you have against them. No one can change your mind if it's already set on calling everything shit
>Are you for real?
I am not a pedo so I didn't make a list of every comic that features this type. But beast boy from that DC summer special comes to mind since it is very recent. i was honestly grossed out by it.
>We both know that's not true.
There are dozens, but again, can't really convince retards like you with shitty standards who don't even dare to name the stuff they like so we can see how they can't be arbiters of taste.
Or what, are you actually gonna share with the class what you like?
No you are because you hate being told you were incorrect. The point I made was disappointing sales. You gave examples that prove sales are disappointing, doesn't mean things couldnt get better but they arent right now.
>Image exists
Image only released feminist garbage with flash comic tier art these days. So no different from Marvel or DC
Nigga they didn't even know Dynamite was a thing until EVS did a variant cover for them. They know as little about the industry as SJWs.
>The point I made was disappointing sales.
You don't know how these titles are selling right now, and you don't have a single clue about how the market is doing, you just see 20K and you think it's bad without even checking the title involved or how many issues is running. You're completely clueless about this and likely use youtubers as your source for this shit.
>Image only released feminist garbage with flash comic tier art these days
This is the kinda retard we're arguing with here. Just take a look at this.
How old was new hulk?
Here is Namor
For the ladies
Of fucking course, come on, tell me how Gideon falls is feminist garbage and find me a flash comic with the same art style
Wait, are you fucking serious? Is this your example? Holy shit.
Namor is underage?
>Because you are just going to call everything shit due to the vendetta you have against them.
No, I'm going to call them shit because they always quickly turn out to be completely indefensible shit.
>shitty standards
You're the one defending big two capecuckery.
>y-you won't even na
Descender.
Goon.
Mage.
Someone else storytimed Harrow County on otherchan, and that was pretty good.
Now go guzzle semen somewhere else, you filthy pleb.
>What makes you think I'm triggered
Probably the triggered way reply with kindergarten insults.
>this complaint being brought up every single day for god knows how long.
Maybe comic creators should listen and react to it then?
>You need to go to a mental hospital because of how pathetic this is
See that is what I mean with triggered. You take this stuff to serious user.
Like 19 by now
>No, I'm going to call them shit because they always quickly turn out to be completely indefensible shit.
>implying descender is any better
Wow, indie only fags always reveal themselves as having the shittiest taste
>Maybe comic creators should listen and react to it then?
Why, cheesecake comics don't even sell well. Just look at Dynamite
>otherchan
Oh so you're one of those.
Anyway you're not exactly showing some high standards in there if you like Descender and Goon. Haven't read Mage though, maybe that's good? It's just your typical Image stuff, so I'm not sure what you tried to prove here, had you mentioned, I don't know, Seven To Eternity, East of West, Black Monday Murders, The Seeds, Infinite Dark, The Last Space Race, Invisible Kingdom, Beyonders, etc, maybe we could talk about having some special taste that sets you apart from "capeshit".
>This is the kinda retard we're arguing with here. Just take a look at this.
I don't think that any comment is needed
Yes, Descender is great.
Also,
>Wow, the people who read comics other than Marvel or DC reveal to have superior taste by reading comics other than Marvel or DC
Caught me redhanded. :(
please go ahead. Post some image comics which star female heroes with big tits and slutty outfits then
inb4 he shows you that one instance where a Vampirella anniversary #1 issue sold well, but doesn't mention that the rest of the line barely breaks 5K regularly.
>Man-Eaters is an example of the whole line
Indeed, you being a retard was an understatement.
>Post some image comics which star female heroes with big tits and slutty outfits then
Is that really what you read comics for?
The artist is not the writer, nor does the artist own any of the characters. How would the artist be limited if the artist doesn't really know what kind of setting and environment the story is based on? If you make the characters sexually revealing then it will be completely out of place and really dumb because it showed a real lack of faith on the story itself. Not to mention it would look really pitiful. You seem to not know how this works, plus you lack any sense of realism on how they would even work
Besides, if you want sexual then why not a beach issue? That seeems to be fine anyway
Answer this you fuckAlso the good thing about Image is that it allows for creative freedom, whether it leads to good or bad things
You know you can read both indie and big 2 right?
like I said beast boy in dog days of summer
>Also the good thing about Image is that it allows for creative freedom, whether it leads to good or bad things
Unless the author wants to draw a none sjw comic featuring cheesecake comic it seems
>no big tits and slut outfits = feminist
Are you fucking kidding me? Also, Curse words
redone.jpg
Wow yes so sexualized omg! Funny how the two examples of "underage topless boys" posted ITT have been fucking Amadeus Cho (who's 19 and hulked out) and Beast Boy, both of them green. And yet not a SINGLE sexualized regular human. Weird!
You DO know Image releases Unnatural and Sex Criminals, right?
>Is that really what you read comics for?
no but if image isn't just another sjw company they should have some recent comics like that right? i mean they definitely have tons of feminist comics about how all men should be castrated like this
>Unless the author wants to draw a none sjw comic featuring cheesecake comic it seems
You...don't read much Image do you. Even in Maneaters there is cheesecake
>You know you can read both indie and big 2 right?
Hypothetically, but the closest they ever come to it is accidentally clicking on the wrong storytime thread because they were bouncing up and down too hard while making soi faces at the thought of reading the next Bendis shit.
>Unnatural
you mean the thinly disguised gay/tranny propaganda?
In case he doesn't know how to read this, he means RED ONE, drawn by the Dodsons, and full-on cheesecake.
>no but if image isn't just another sjw company they should have some recent comics like that right?
And it does. But again, we were talking about quality comics here and you jumped to ask about tits. Nigga get your priorities straight or get the fuck out of here.
That's not a cover
>Even in Maneaters there is cheesecake
doubt it unless you have some really bizarre definition of cheesecake
>you mean the thinly disguised gay/tranny propaganda?
"yOu mEaN tHe tHinLy dIsgUisEd tRaNnY pRoPagAnDa?"
Faggot you asked for cheesecake and that's cheesecake. There are more titles like that, don't be changing arguments midway just to try and come out on top.
>And it does.
Funny how you don't seem to be able to name some or post pictures
I am not a furry so that isn't cheesecake for me
>There are more titles like that
I doubt that. You are just lying to feel like you win the argument
Already named at least three titles above, not our fault you can't read or follow a thread.
>I am not a furry
True, you're just a faggot in general.
Bitch Planet
Now fuck off
And you plain just don't read shit.
>Why, cheesecake comics don't even sell well.
If you take brand recognition and marketing into consideration they sell really well. Some nobody with a tiny youtube channel is able to raise half a million in crowdfunding on cheesecake alone.
If Marvel or DC put cheesecake into their well known and established franchises it could sell hundreds of thousands easily.
Feminist censorship has become so the norm in every media that cheesecake seems like fresh and unique nowadays.
Btw, I think I'll catch a ban if I post it, there's full frontal and back nudity in issue 4 if you want to check it out
Vague solicit and cover but fuck yeah Carol OP.
>If Marvel or DC put cheesecake into their well known and established franchises it could sell hundreds of thousands easily.
Bullshit, or the 90s crashed wouldn't have happened
Also a scene of basically masturbation
>Some nobody with a tiny youtube channel is able to raise half a million in crowdfunding on cheesecake alone.
Usually because it's part of a comicsgate scheme, not because it's actually good or the interiors are worth the money. In fact, it rarely does.
And anyway that's not really true, only like three or four of these retards actually break beyond their crowfunding goals, the rest just fight for scraps while their brand is basically being "anti-PC" to pander to dumbasses in a culture war.
>recent
Red One was released in 2015
>Probably the triggered way reply with kindergarten insults.
Like what kindergarten insults when you people complain about it for months with no end. That is just reall pathetic
>Maybe comic creators should listen and react to it then?
Because they would lose money if they make books for a small minority that still live in the 90's, and would once again be viewed as so irrelevant that they would go bankrupt once again and hey would stand to lose a number of good faith by new readers if they are being excluded, and loe a number of good writers as a result of it. Cheesecake don't really make that much money, as Dynamite is an example, and they would stand to lose as a result of it
>See that is what I mean with triggered. You take this stuff to serious user
And you're saying you're not? Because this really is pathetic that this whining is still going on
And you're splitting hairs as if the Dodsons are somehow getting censored and can't publish shit like that anymore.
>Bullshit, or the 90s crashed wouldn't have happened
comics in the 90s on average sold better then comics today. Cancellation numbers back then were at around 30k which is considered a "hit" today
You'd have a point if today's swimsuit specials didn't sell like absolute shit.
>comics in the 90s on average sold better then comics today
Oh so you don't even understand why the crash happened, got it.
the cash happened doe to people speculating about #1 issues one day all being worth millions.
Marvel and DC don't release those anymore. So I don't get your point
Bitch Planet is 2017
>comics in the 90s on average sold better then comics today
Not really, there were still a ton of below 20k titles
>And anyway that's not really true, only like three or four
Now you are just lying. There are more then 4 successful indie comic campaigns which all raised more then 100k
Please let it be known that the guy who said this
>I know tons of comics with topless underage boys and they didn't get censored
Couldn't produce a single example and quickly moved on after posting the Champions covers. Just bringing it back because it's evidence of the level of discourse these retards have.
Actually even looking at 1989 sales it's about similar to now in units
Indie comics in general yes, but not comicsgaters.
I did. Dog Days of Summer has tons of half naked underage beast boy
Because he is drawing the comic. The whole point of show don't tell comes into play. And if you don't like his style or what costume he uses you will throw a ship fit. So why does them having scantily clad armor or costumes do against the story in the first place? It doesn't. Neither of them do but it shouldn't limit the artist in any way shape or form.
I probably shouldn't have to remind you why that one doesn't count, and besides, you said
>I know tons
Yet you posted only that one.
To be fair, the Dodson's realised there was better money in the variant market and joined Cho.
Can you imagine being so pathetic that you pay money for a Jon Malin book
Sad
That's true of every artist. Just ask Mark Brooks.
They did that in the 90's you moron, and they were bankrupt as a result, and then got bought by some dude, and got bankrupt even more that they had to sell off their characters
Plus the whiney ass youtubers, while reach their crowdfunding goals, have actually produced the worst buch of comics that are not only terrible but incredibly boring. Just to cater the sad fucks in their sad culture war
you sure have a lot of free time at your hands don't you?
After Iron Sights I don`t know any other of those comics aside from Graveyard Shift. But you sure seem to have missed the Earth Worm Jim comic
Yeah but Brooks didn't leave projects on hold. I'm still waiting for Adventureman. And for Finch to wrap up Real Heroes but that's not really relevant to the conversation.
>you sure have a lot of free time at your hands don't you?
I didn't make the chart, I just repost it, because it's factual data that exposes the scheme.
>After Iron Sights I don`t know any other of those comics aside from Graveyard Shift.
That was my point, though? They're banding behind a specific brand recognition (comicsgate, anti-PC, anti-LGBT, anti-Big Two) just to cater to a crowd, but only the top dogs with an audience actually break their funding goals because they don't care about supporting their own.
>Yeah but Brooks didn't leave projects on hold.
Red One is on hold? I thought it finished. And they're actually doing the covers for the Gwenpool comic.
Red One went on hiatus cause he started working on the Fraction book, but god knows what happened there. Then him and the missus went variant exclusive for a while, and a few months ago he started working on a Red One short story.
You clearly don't understand do you? What reason for a female character to wear leotards or scantily clad armor if it just looks so out of place based on a setting that is complately different?
You're saying it doesn't, but really it does. You just don't understand it or just don't see it in the eyes of a story teller. The artist can do whatever, and make some touches to the current costume itself, but it has to fit the story itself. If it doesn't fit the story then it'll be completely out of place and takes away the storytelling process itself
The costuems themselves have to make sense, and that means it must fit both the era and the setting that it is in. If the character doesn't fit that then it's useless
And again, this is not the 90's. As times change the costume must change too to fit in with the current times.
And again I'm saying this to do. What purpose would they even serve?
so, Slott is playing the parallel Iron man\Tony Stark and Ultron\Hank?
it's not a bad idea.
>Brevoort claims it isn't cancelled
why would anybody ever bother listening Brevoort?
still doing far better then the average sjw comic and like I said that is still with them having zero marketing or brand recognition. There is obviously a big audience willing to pay for that kind of content but Marvel, Image and DC would rather go out of business then to betray their new woke agenda
And? Wasnt he under age? Seems like you cant help but cry wolf on this.
No, it was for the ladies
By the way, cancellation at 1990s was definitely NOT in the 30k. Some titles were going strong at the 15k range as well, similar to now actually
>why would anybody ever bother listening Brevoort?
Because he's the editor? Keep your head out of your ass, I know he's not well liked but he's not going to lie about a book he's working on.
There is obviously a big audience willing to pay for that kind of content but Marvel, Image and DC would rather go out of business then to betray their new woke agenda
And you too, if you really think there's a "big audience" for that shit you're mistaken, otherwise a lot of indie series in Dynamite and Zenescope would be doing much better than they do. This whole thing about "brand recognition" is bullshit when these indie series by youtubers are making money out of pure pandering, no reason why these companies who have their own established characters and even more quality than your regular comicsgater can't get the same amount of support behind.
But we all know why it happens: it's inorganic. People aren't paying for these comics for their content.
Breevolt is not well liked? I thought he was quite okayish regarded around here
People here hate him for dumbass reasons, though he has made some shitty decisions in the past, admittedly. But overall he's much better than a lot of editors in Marvel right now and I'd prefer him handling more books than he currently does, the quality would be oh so much better.
Their books sell for more than the 10k casualgate seems to hit.
You dont seem to understand why they did in the first place. They have those because the designs were from circus acrobats. That's why they alll ALL are naked and painted different colors.
Super heroes dont make any fucking sense. These people are fucking flying and you care what they are clothed in? Jesus you get uppity over shit that you think what we all percieve. You seem to have such body image issues you have to bring everything down to your level. Leotards themselves are actually help with mobility, putting on a leather suit that is physically limiting makes even less sense. Wearing armor doesnt do Jack and even limits character movement.
So if anything your point is moot when dressing them down to your specifications doesn't help the story at all in the first place.
And all you can look at is the fucking 90s? Look for older shit too. Hell Look at early Robin he didnt even wear pants.
So more than 10k is ok for you now...?
If your argument is
>There is obviously a big audience willing to pay for that kind of content but Marvel, Image and DC would rather go out of business then to betray their new woke agenda
yet said audience is smaller than the audience of their cancellation level books, then it's not a big audience
Aside from the Big Two, selling over 10K is a success for most indie series, I'd say 90% sell around that range if not less.
My mistake I thought you were talking about captain marvel
Only thing Riri needs is white boyfriend.
Anyway...
FUCK COMICSGATE AND FUCK LEOTARDS IN COMICS
Based.
>felt tip marker
I still don't know how the madman does this. It baffles me.
That's your excuse? Really?
Wow this is just really dumb when you have to bring up both circus acrobats and athletes. And surprisingly, I actually expected this to be brought up. You're talking about sports and entertainment, but not an actual fight in an actual battle were technology of today is advanced enough to make suits of armor more movable
We're talking about the costume that works right now. Not some old relics that would look so out of place and make no ounce of sense. Seriously this is truly pathetic that it's still laughable that you are trying to make this
Once again, you fail to give an answer and showed just how dumb this argument has become and why you people are pathetic in the first place. Really laughable this is
Based my good man
Seriously, I want to learn how to draw like that. It's so good
>Peter was emasculated
Only one who got emasculated in that was Bruno.
Are you an idiot? That was Bruno
>I'm still not too confident reactionary retards would give her a chance if she was completely new.
Yeah, just looks at how these reactionaries aren't giving these new characters a shot.
Asians don't count because unlike blacks, they aren't a prominent minority in the US.
