I've watched Totally Spies, Martin Mystery, and Gravity Falls to death
I could always rewatch Samurai Jack but meh. Seen that one too much, as well.
Do NOT recommend me aquaphobia or whatever that new frog show everyone is obsessing about is called. It looks super dumb and I don't like talking animals.
Is Dragon Prince (I think that's the name) any good? It's by the creators of TLA and I just finished Smoke & Shadow for the second time, and need some good serialization in my life.
What about Symbiotic Titan? Same guy who made SJ, right? I'd love to watch something like that but I hear it only has 20 episodes and ends abruptly.
I've seen Hilda three times so far, so that's out.
God, I just wish Molly McGee was out, I just heard about that today but it looks so good! I can tell that will be a favorite.
>I don't like talking animals >I don't like non-realistic things So you don't like animation? Yea Forums is that way
Luis Cooper
Have you tried Aquafina?
Isaiah Lopez
I hear Aquaphilia is a good show.
Adam White
Frogphibia is very good. Great characters and actual funny humor.
Elijah Morgan
Never said I don't like non-realistic things. Realism has its place, and it's clear that the new Disney remakes are GOING FOR a realistic approach. I never said that's a draw for me.
My favorite cartoons in the world, those made by Marathon Media, are as far a cry from realism as you can get.
No, I don't like talking animals. Bambi would've been one of the greatest films of all time if it was just music and a story told without dialogue.
Benjamin Thomas
Big no. Deer Park is where it's at.
Grayson Ward
>"I don't like talking animals" Why refuse to watch a cartoon based on something so infinitely small? No offense user but that's nitpick at most.
That being said, give Ed, Edd n' Eddy a watch. It's boomer material in the best ways.
Elijah Wright
Amphibian is good, I was skeptical about it because I am more of a talking bug type of person but it was quite good, nothing amazing but it was a good watch, it has a Narnia vibe.
DO NOT watch ATLA.
Watch the Maya the bee Anime, it is more like a cartoon than an Anime.
Isaiah Rodriguez
But user, PEOPLE is ANIMALS!
Camden Wilson
I mean if there's a really good cartoon that features talking animals I'll give it a go.
I'll probably watch Aquapablo at some point but right now there's absolutely nothing about it that is a draw for me.
Benjamin Phillips
Either way, would OTGW be too much for you? That's a classic recommendation for someone who needs something new
Bentley Morris
dude ATLA is one of the single best shows, cartoon or not, of the past five decades. It's a master-class blend of mature themes, amazing and realistic characters, a huge detailed world, and a tone that is second to none
the problem is I've seen that show more than anything else - it's not even an option
Based on the shows you listed, maybe Slugterra and the recent Max Steel series will be up your alley.
Leo Cook
ahhhh thank you! I knew there was one I was forgetting, I'll probably watch that actually
It's been in the back of my mind for so long, and the art style + characters look really good
only bad thing is I was spoiled as to the twist but that's nbd
Brody Long
So what exactly do you look for when watching a cartoon? What's the shit that interests you more than anything? Characters? Plot? Genre? Etc.
Dylan Morris
It's legit a super fun, super comfy lil show that's a nice break from lore-heavy disasters like Star vs. And the frogs are... I'm sorry but the frogs are fucking incredible. Everything about them is almost unbearably cute, from the way they look when they've got their flappy little mouths wide open in alarm to every little "Blet!" that Sprig vocalizes when he whips his big ol' tongue out.
But there aren't gonna be any new eps for a year or more. You've got plenty of time to get caught up, and I can't blame you for wanting to avoid the HOT NEW THING that's being spammed all over Yea Forums.
Dylan Myers
Characters and setting, as with any show.
A pleasant-looking animation style (HATE gross-out stuff like Spongebob) helps, too. The best part of the most recent new cartoon I liked, Hilda, was the characters and animation style/color palette.
Adam Carter
Then watch anime, I doubt stuff like Ruby Gloom, Kick Buttowski or Shezow could interest someone like you.
I love wanime (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anime-influenced_animation), not anime. Western animation generally has far better character tropes/music/plots, but eastern animation has a better art style usually. Wanime blends the best parts of both takes, and ditches the worst parts.
The only anime I've seen is Baccano, which was pretty good.
I'd probably recommend that She-Ra reboot. The strongest parts of it IMO is the characters and the episodes that focus on them are the best.
Amphibia is definitely a must watch for that stuff for reasons already listed.
Logan Rogers
No worries, the twist is such a small part of the journey. It's magnificent in every regard. Maybe Venture Bros or Morel Orel will suit you. Definitely Primal later this year also. I'm more into the surreal aspect of things so just going off what I think you'd like
Levi Fisher
you mean "better anime" not bootleg
also wtf does non-moe mean
Austin Reed
Why not watch your namesake? New season should be out within the year.
>It's boomer material in the best ways. I fucking hate how boomer just means "someone older than me" now. Even by le 30 year old boomer maymay that doesn't make sense.
Zachary Fisher
Proof? Don't get my hopes up for nothing.
Jaxson Peterson
Try ATLA or Ben 10 since you liked Martin Mystery
Brody Wood
Carmen Sandiego (2019) DC Super Hero Girls (2019) Tangled: the Series
If you are in doubt then watch the pilots. DCSHG is a 4 parter (Sweetjustice) and Tangled actually starts with a movie: Before Ever After.
