Cast him.
comicbook.com
The obvious answers would be Iron Fist or Moon Knight.
Barney Barton.
On a more serious note, I think he could knock it out of the park as Simon Williams.
>Actor is open to work
This isn't even news
Iceman
He's a bit old at this point but it could work
No one has replied Rightclops yet?
What?
>Danny Rand, you have failed this Iron Fist
Iron Fist is in his mid-30s so it could work. Just look at T'challa, the actor is in his mid-40s.
Fuck yeah boys, the MCU has found its Aero
extras aren't normally cast that far in advance
Texas Twister.
No, no, we want Cavill for that.
Silver Surfer
Came in to say this. He's the perfect age.
>extras aren't normally cast that far in advance
LOL
Yeah he's "open" because his fucking career is shit
Arno Stark.
Make him Speed Demon
Ouch
Have him be the villain of the Hawkeye show as Trickshot
Dick Rider
Johnny Storm
Hercules
Sentry
Wonder Man
Mentioned in this thread Moon Knight, Iron Fist and Silver Surfer are acceptable too.
Wow, to be honest I never thought Stephen did that good of a job on Arrow, I only liked him in first two seasons and because he did everything right with the tone was working for. But there are actually a lot of fairly important roles I think he'd be adequate to pull off.
The obvious answers would be Machine Man or Atomic Bomb.
Or Trickshot if we want to be literal.
Most of them are old. Paul Rudd is in his fucking fifties now.
Reed
Wolverine, I wanna see him audition for it wearing the costume they made for The Wolverine.
Iron Fist needs to be a young actor, especially if he's returning from Kun-Lun and to contrast his age with Luke, Misty and Colleen. Mid 20s is ideal.
Rudd stopped aging twenty years ago.
He would kill it as Mister Machine.
Disney's never touching Iron Fist again unless it's as a joke character for Shang Chi to be better at kung fu than. There was way to much backlash over cultural appropriation from the Netflix series.
they aren't going to leave Iron Fist in the dustbin forever. He's a pretty prominent character with distinctive costume, unique lore and the possibilty of Heroes for Hire with Luke Cage. Fiege has been wanting to make an Iron Fist movie since 2010.
>There was way to much backlash over cultural appropriation from the Netflix series.
who gives a fuck? Those faggots stopped caring about Tilda Swinton as Ancient One, and Marvel Studios has a far better record at handling race matters than Marvel TV. They can easily make Danny biracial and move on.
If Marvel is rebooting FF4, X-Men and Blade, there's no way they are letting Iron Fist forever languish because of some trash show.
Rudd stopped aging since Clueless.
Hawkeye.
nah only americans being americans
>Dick Rider
Yes.
>Johnny Storm
Amell is too old for that.
>Hercules
Amell is not swole enough for that.
>Sentry
Yes.
>Wonder Man
Yes.
>Moon Knight
Yes.
>Iron Fist
Yes.
>Silver Surfer
I can't see that one, no.
>That moment you realize how much more offensive it'll be if they give shang chi the iron fist
Only if he returns to shape first
Nova
Only way ironfist will ever be brought back is if he's 1/4 eurasian bastard of some chinese kung-fu god.
Wonderman. Just go full hammy male actor/instamanthot with it.
Or Hawkeye's protege with Ultimate Universe Mutant/Marvel/"miracle" targeting powers.
Thunderstrike
They're not going to reboot Luke "the hood for white people" Cage either.
This. Let see him play a faggot, most of his fans are whores and gays anyway.
Canonball
why not? They are doing Blade which no one thought they could, and already showed off the hood in Black Panther
YOu need iron fist and cage together its how they work. Luke was better equipped to handle the split in the netflix stuff but he got hurt by it just like iron fist.
you mean cage in general or just the netflix show?
>Luke "the hood for white people" Cage
what do you mean by that?
I really want Shang-Chi to have Iron Fist as his Rhodey
But Shang Chi is much better at kung fu than Danny, it's why he's the master of kung fu.
My proposal is to do Iron Fist solo movies and Heroes for Hire movies. Iron Fist solo movies to explore the Kun Lun stuff and Heroes for Hire stuff to have the fun buddy cop stuff. Luke's backstory is prob too problematic for Disney but with a H4H movie you could just handwave it away.
Dudes just baiting
He used to be super vocal about being all onboard DC and took pride in Arrow. What happened to him?
that's an awful idea.
The reason they're going to be hesistant to do something like that is because of Kun Lun pretty much being in Tibet, and a company like Disney wouldn't risk anything pissing off the chinese like that. Its the reason why the ancient one was racebent to tilda (though I do think that making the ancient one any asian would've been far more offensive). I think if they do a buddy cop heros for hire with both cage and iron fist it could work really well, I'm ust not sure how they could do anything more with solo Iron fist because of the stink that normies would put up, since they've never had to think about the historical context of the character
He's basically an attempt to create a captain america 2.
Some rogue hydra agent knew that he wouldn't play along or that he saw something he should have
Tried to sabotage it
He ended up becoming invulnerable and super strong
Fought to stop the hydra agent
Lives in Harlem and fights local crime and has his own arch nemesis. Cotton mouth.
He and Falcon know each other but dont' like each other much.
Will be a running gag.
He, like anyone else, needs work.
Too little too late. Unless they shove him into Hawkeye series at the last minute, Clint Barton is getting out. Plus he looks too young to be Renner's older brother.
>The reason they're going to be hesistant to do something like that is because of Kun Lun pretty much being in Tibet
yeah that really sucks and is holding back a really cool character. I wonder if they could move Kun Lun to a different location on the Hindu Kush mountains to solve the problem?
sounds really good, but I like the idea in the books of him being framed and coming back to Harlem to seek revenge. Makes him need money when he comes back since he has nothing and that's why he starts going for Hire.
also is MCU Falcon from Harlem? I thought he was from DC?
I appreciated this user
like rats leaving a sinking ship
Will every actor ever eventually be in a Marvel movie?
He was in Arrow user, you answered your own question.
>Will everyone suckle at the teat of one of the biggest cash cows in the industry that actually keeps it's head above water
Their age doesn’t really matter.
I don't care about D-lister Stephen Amell, when is Marvel going to make the call to his famous friend?
I do think they could write around the tibet connection with Danny, but you would just end up getting more people bitching that he should be asian and that's whats going to stop marvel from doing anything to deep with the character. Which is a shame, he and luke work well and it would've been nice if we saw anything more out of the twos interactions in the netflix stuff
Real question is why have they not gotten an actual action director for shang chi. Hell the Watchowskis have experience in this field but they just went with the cheapest asian american they knew
It wouldn't matter if he was playing an older and more experienced Danny Rand. But it would be best for them to use a younger actor so that they can use a younger Danny Rand.
Marvel doesn't want this CW shitter. Lmao
Eddie Brock
Yep, going for the obvious here. Moon knight is my first choice. Fits the bill. Rich guy, fights crime, not currently cast.
Otherwise, I can kind of see him as some cosmic marvel character like old Nova but I think that's already taken.
I can see it. All things considered Doug Jones/Lawrence Fishborne weren't bad, FF2 had a whole set of other problems.
Too many bad/mediocre seasons of Arrow aka Felicity and Friends.
$$$$$$
The real casting question.
Is Adam Warlock too on the nose for Cody Rhones?
Don't mind me. Just being right.
Shang-Chi was always better than Iron Fist. Shang-Chi can do all the things that Iron Fist can do but with none of the drama and magic dragon chi to amp him up to those levels.
>Too old for Johnny but perfect for Dick Rider
Nah, he's too old for Rich, if you read Annihilation prologue and the actual Annihilation it's clear he is a young man and part of his journey there is that he needs to step up and mature.
Andy Schmidt even said it in "The Oral History of Annihilation" interview
>We made the [Annihilation] prologue zero in on [Rich] and just make him this kid so that when all of these bad things start happening around him, hopefully the idea was to get the readers caught up in (the idea that) this kid is in shock because he’s never seen anything like this and he’s way out of his depth.
Depends on how many movies they want to make. Hulk only got one solo (and I think people debate whether that even counts - also they’re doing a thing where Hulk is and isn’t Bruce so it could get complicated)
You can’t control time. All of us will be there one day. With people who haven’t even been born yet.
This nobody fuckboy wishes they'd hire him
It is a different universe, let him be Clint's younger brother.
>There was way to much backlash over cultural appropriation from the Netflix series
Netflix Iron Fist was utter garbage from the beginning, but I will never not be annoyed by that.
There is so much more to Danny's character than just the fact that he does Kung Fu good. He's not a white savior running. around being better at being Chinese than Chinese people. He was an angry fucking guy who saw his mother get eaten by wolves who dedicated himself to learning how to kill shit and upon the precipice of getting his revenge, realized how fucking little it all meant. He failed as the Iron Fist.
It's why his relationship with Luke Cage is so great. Danny a blond haired stranger in Kun Lun and back home still a stranger in a strange land in the place where everyone looks like him.
But no. These people who claim to be progressive still fucking espouse shit that people realized were fucking dumb back in the 70s. The MMA community is more fucking open minded.
>Stephen Amell "Open" To giant ass paycheck
Cyclops, but it all depends if they depict Scott as the determined as all hell idealist he was in the 60s or the borderline sociopath he is now.
>Sentry
Oh to live in an age where Amell just tosses his problems into the sun..
I want him as Dick Rider , he could play Sentry or Johnny Blaze too
Super speed, now he does have it.
But he's also evil.
What about him?
>Cast him.
Iron fist done right.
Iron Man.
Top kek
I love Luke's Don't talk shit about my boy response ans Panther trying to be like no disrespect but..
He's a terrible actor.
Richards, he is 10 years younger than Krasinski, or maybe Daredevil
He’s the perfect age for a character who is ageless?
Should play Bullseye-as-Hawkeye in the eventual Dark Avengers movie.
Iron Fist isn't in his mid 30s, he's the same age as Spider-Man.
Honestly, college professor Peter Parker
