Yes, as in it fills my heart with joy and happiness

In a way maybe, but it was significant for Endgame, at least Ant-Man and the Quantum Realm was

Based

>An entire movie can be considered filler.
What the fuck happened to modern culture? When did people start seeing it as disposable?

The moment Ghost comes back, ya'll will be praising it.

Attached: 1530913802868.jpg (2048x1363, 358K)

Yeah, pretty much.
It was also way too fucking long.

No filler means that nothing of importance happens.

While boring this movie sets up the quantum realm, time vortexes, and scotts miraculous return, and even has pay off to Hope mocking Scott about calling steve "Cap"

yes, which is why most normies skipped both Ant-Man movies

there were a lot of disposable trash in past eras as well

Nowhere near the first.

Captain Marvel is filler, without Ant-Man & The Wasp, there would be no time travel in Endgame... and yet CM made a billion, this is so unfair!

If Scott hadn't discovered how to get out of Quantum Realm in the first movie, Endgame would never have happened.

It introduced Ghost and Black Goliath, so no.

Honestly its weird as fuck that she was not in phase 4. I can understand why Antman and Wasp are not in phase 4.There films are were not that big and they didn't really build as much hype as Strange or Thor but Ghost seems like the perfect character to be built in a show.

Because the current phase 4 that we know is just the first 2 years, expect more announcements. Also, the dude that leaked plot points of Endgame has said that a there are plans for Thunderbolts, with her and Zemo there. He also said that there are plans for Ant-Man 3, a Nova movie, and leaked Thor 4 alongside them.

Ant-Man 3 or riot

It's just a bad movie

Soon

Dumbasses just want everything to be filler so they can “skip it”

SPBP

So only the post credits is useful?

Sadly yes.

In 1944 when Adorno and Horkheimer first articulated the culture industry.

Well no, the whole quantum realm concept is useful. Honestly I'd say the most filler movie of phase 3 is Homecoming, you could literally just skip it and go into Infinity War without problems.

Way to read a third of that post.

If the movie set more future MCU elements, you fuckers would be bitching about it being "a two hour long add for Engame" instead, I still remember the Iron Man 2 and Age of Ultron shit posting

Technically no because it sets up Norman Osborn, but is more of a movie if you like Ant Man's character

It's a side story to the Infinity Saga. There's no way an entire movie could be considered 'filler'.

More significant to Endgame and the MCU in general than CM.

how does it set up norman?

>Captain Marvel is hyped to hell and back as being super important
>she does one noteworthy thing at the beginning, then fucks off for the rest of the movie until the end

>Ant-Man and the Wasp is dismissed as filler
>Scott and the Quantum Realm are the only reasons Endgame was able to happen at all

Attached: 1558297942805.jpg (400x557, 31K)

Except he’s not even the focus of these movies.

Walton Goggins works for "a guy" who's looking for the technology Pym has, that guy is speculated to be Norman Osborn because who else could it be

It was a fun, cute, and funny romp of a film. It didn't feel super important to the MCU, but it was still a great night out. I'll enjoy casually rewatching this one more than most of the other Marvel films.

>Iron Man 2
The problem with Iron Man 2 was that it was an MCU film before the MCU had taken off. It was annoying to watch an Iron Man movie in which Iron Man had given up and needed to be "saved" by some external force entirely for the purpose of upcoming movies. If you really need someone to give Tony a kick in the pants, make it be Pepper or Rhodey, or at least integrate Fury into the plot proper instead of just having him show up randomly half way through the film.

There is stuff in Ant-Man and the Wasp that would feel very similar, except for the fact that the MCU has been powering on for a while now. The context helps.

I find the hate thrown at this movie so bizarre. Like, I find the humor in the Spider-Man films a lot more tedious than this films. Hell, I feel more attach to this cast over Peter's supporting cast.

>because who else could it be
Literally anyone? There are numerous potential villains it could be, not to mention Hydra agents who were already set up as trying to steal the Ant-Man/Yellowjacket technology in previous film, military generals, etc, etc.

Here's the thing - they left it as just "a guy" so they can make it whoever they want as the need requires. If anyone at all. It's not setting anything specific up, it's being vague for the sake of being vague. Even if they do decide to tie it to some specific villain, this movie is literally irrelevant in "setting them up".

You mean Scott? He is pretty much at the core of the movie and the relationship with his daughter is a great part of it. I would even say that both Ant-Man, Scott and Pym, constantly shine in this movies and are their strongest characters. I do think that both Wasps present some problems and need to be fleshed out more.

No. I mean Pym. Ant Man.

Scott and Pym are Ant-Man and like I said, Pym is still one their more interesting characters and he absolutely shines with the focus that he has. I wouldn't mind more focus on him though. Also he movie is called Ant-Man and The Wasp because it's about the relationship that Ant-Man (Pym/Scott) have with their respective Wasp (Janet/Hope).

So what's the deal with the time skip?

When he comes out of the quantum realm in the post credits, their snap ashes are still floating around, so it's been seconds.

But in Endgame it's been years.

I'd fill 'er.

what the fuck is going on with ant-man 3

all these big scoopers on twitter aint been saying shit about ant-man its not fuckin fair

roger wardell is one big fuckin lier

Everything besides the Iron Mans, Captain Americas, and Guardians was filler.

Soon

I saw some people asking for Ant-Man 3, time to screech louder than everyone else. I think someone actually did what Paul Rudd said about making a petition.

remember when movies were worth watching if they were either good or bad?

when is it going to be announced

that petition shit not gonna work

Maybe in D23 in august, along with the rest of Phase 4. If they show other movies and Ant-Man is not there then that would be the time to worry.

Considering how important Ant Man himself and the Quantum Realm are in Endgame? You really shouldn't be asking this. But it's a fun movie, and one of my personal favorites in the MCU.

Attached: ANTS.jpg (420x839, 27K)

the full phase 4 slate was announced at comic-con

>Considering how important Ant Man himself and the Quantum Realm are in Endgame?
The Quantum Realm was introduced back in the first Ant-Man movie, and nothing of relevance to Endgame was introduced in Ant-Man and the Wasp in this regard. It's used as the techno-babble justification for the time travel, but that's it. IIRC time travel stuff isn't ever touched upon in the Ant-Man movies, and it's actually contradictory given that original-Wasp ages normally in the Quantum Realm while Scott somehow ages 3 hours for the 5 years in the outside world in Endgame.

collider.com/marvel-phase-four-movies-kevin-feige-blade/

I blame Dragon Ball GT and Naruto's filler blob

interesting twitter.com/EmmaFuhrmann/status/1152985490590593025

Oh, I see. I originally thought that the comic con is only the first half, then Phase 4 is only 2 years and Phase 5 is when they could fit a new Ant-Man film. Is going to take a while then.

He didn't come out in the post credits

Are you retarded? There's been disposable entertainment for as long as there's been prostitutes.

kevin already announced some phase 5 movies captain marvel 2 black panther 2 guardians of the galaxy vol 3 spider-man 3 blade fantastic four and mutants

emma fuhrmann is all we got she the only person that can give us some ant-man 3 news

Yes, but there is no complete timeline or logos and there could be more surprises movies in Phase 5. He also didn't announce the Phase 5 streaming series, I have the suspicion that the third Ant-Man film could end up being a series instead.

i heard moon knight and ms marvel will be apart of the phase five streaming series and hell naw ant-man not going to end up being a series

i also heard a rumor about civil war 2 and house of m

>hell naw ant-man not going to end up being a series
I hope so,Ant-Man deserves a proper send off, something truly great to end, they should go giant or go home with the final movie.

i agree man hope we get some news real soon somebody better fuckin say something

i bet we see a couple young avengers show up in the disney + shows

patriot in the falcon and the winter soldier wiccan speed viv monica rambeau and america chavez in wandavision kid loki in the loki show kate bishop in the hakeye show idk what the fuck they gon do with hulkling noh-varr and stature

Ghost a cute so its not filler

youtube.com/watch?v=UQG_vUonXQU

There’s only one Antman.

Yes, and that is currently Scott because Pym is old. Ant-Man is one superhero where the legacy thing works because in the comics, Pym changes identities a lot, like Lang has been Ant-Man for more time than Pym ever was because he choose to become Giant-Man.

Same, it makes no sense especially when the main characters interactions with each other feel so comfy in this. Every scene in the lab was great.
Meanwhile, Peter feels tedious talking to anyone but MJ & Happy, and they spent the entire FFH movie to achieve that by the end.

No. It will only ever be Pym. Period

No idea why you're being gatekeepy about who should be ant man when his character for a while was wanting to ditch the idea of being antman.

Not sure why that matters. That’s a story that’s happened to more heroes than just Antman.

>Like, I find the humor in the Spider-Man films a lot more tedious than this films

GotG 2 and Doctor Strange 1 had some of the worst, most grating humor of any movie

Lurk more.

>nothing of relevance to Endgame was introduced in Ant-Man and the Wasp in this regard
It's only in Endgame where the ability to intentionally and safely enter and exit the realm is established, alongside the quantum realm being full of magic science bullshit. From that standpoint, it's as important as any Infinity Stone oriented movie.

>It's only in Endgame where the ability to intentionally and safely enter and exit the realm is established
No dice, they did that in the original Ant-Man. Lang exited "intentionally" - even if by the seat of his pants - but it's a massive stretch to then say that Ant-Man and the Wasp is at all important simply because it solidified the idea that you can leave the Quantum Realm in a more controlled fashion. Given that they had to invent a bunch of extra tech to get the time traveling aspect of the Quantum Ream Machine (TM) to work, it's a little cute to suggest that you need the whole previous film to establish technobabble that is already being handwaved away.

Fair enough, but still. What said.
