What does Yea Forums think of Nu, Pogodi?
Nu, Pogodi!
I loved it as a kid, even if some stuff flew over my head. Rewatched a few episodes a year ago and I still liked it.
better than Rumcajs and Krteček
It's literally russian Tom and Jerry, but actually good and enjoyable.
I can appreciate the fact the Soviet government didn't feel the need to inject propaganda into children's media.
Unlike North Korea.
It is also the original Zootopia as entire world is basically anthro animals living in harmony. It just focuses on Tom&Jerry chase in each episode.

Gay propoganda
>propoganda
prop·a·gan·da
The north korean cartoon with the wolf G.I.s is amazing though.
gay
This show made me appreciate a lot of songs that i never heard

Soviets really had a taste in music
It's okay. Took almost 30 years to steal a retarded idea of cat & mouse chase though.
They've injected propaganda into children's media. It wasn't in every piece of media, but there were a lot of stuff about revolution, civil war, pioneers, anti-capitalist bullshit etc.
for me its miaunel si balanel
>for me its
thanks, mom
>but there were a lot of stuff about revolution, civil war, pioneers, anti-capitalist bullshit etc.
Post some examples.
Soviet propaganda was always overt and in-your-face. On the other hand, there was a lot of stuff like Nu Pogodi that didn't have any
unlike modern America where everything has to be propaganda
Some of it was harmless

Others were so in your face, they couldn't make it more obvious if they slapped 'AMERICA BAD' on every frame

Everyone says it's like Tom and Jerry, but I'd argue it's closer to Looney Tunes it every episode was just Bugs and Elmer Fudd. Tom and Jerry were silent and relied almost entirely on slapstick. Looney Tunes an Nu Pogodi had dialogue
Yeah that may or may not have been the intention, but it felt like there was something else going on...
I thought Russians hated gays.
Well besides the eating each other part
>Made in the Soviet Union which was infamous for its hatred of gays
>"Gay propaganda"
With some scenes you really gotta wonder
They also hate Jehovah's witnesses, doesn't stop them from living in Russia anyway.
So was America, but Looney Tunes was full of gay shit. There is such a thing as 'in the closet'
Got some exceptional laughs from me, mainly when the wolf falls through some ice and how fucking suddenly his screaming is cut off
>but Looney Tunes was full of gay shit.
[citation needed]
We'll be here all week posting examples
are you sure you want to start that user?
Bugs, Daffy Porky and even Pepe are fags
"Looney Tunes was full of gay shit, it be like that, yo." - Anonymous, 2019
I thought this guy was condemned on Yea Forums.
>this shit ran from the sixties
how did they do it
As long as it wasn't explicitly promoting capitalism animators could make pretty much anything in USSR
I think they had a censor board though that edited things out they didn't think promoted the right ideas. Not as stringent as say in Romania or North Korea, but those countries did model their structure off the Soviets...
I love that it is the middle gray area where you don't know if he's going after the rabbit for food Coyote style or romance Pepe LePew style
We still post John K.
Since when has anyone on this Polish Sausage Making Forum ever been consistent?
But you'd always have that worry that you'll have a x on your back if it turned as ugly as it was a few decades earlier
Cool story, bro.
Whatever you want to believe
The series doesn't lie
