>The show Steven Universe technically ended with Change your Mind and isn't coming back >However a sequel show, titled Beyond Stevens Universe already has a whole season produced and a second one greenlit >This was entirely a CN decision, they saw dwindling viewership of SU and told Sugar they were ending it early, but we're open to whatever other new show ideas she had including potential spinoffs >Sugar used the opportunity to rebrand as an entirely new sequel show >It's intended to feel like a clear continuation of Steven Universe, but also be a jumping in point for new viewers
>Steven Universe the Movie will function as the shows pilot >Expect ANOTHER time skip (about a year long) between the movie and season 1 >22 minute episodes >2 seasons confirmed but 4 planned >Most ideas that were cut short in SU will find their way into the new show >New intro, outro, etc, everything you would expect with an entirely new show >Aging Steven up was CNs idea but was something the crewniverse had been considering for a long time >Beyond Stevens Universe will begin airing in January
>This was entirely a CN decision, they saw dwindling viewership of SU and told Sugar they were ending it early, but we're open to whatever other new show ideas she had including potential spinoffs This shows that this is fake. But goddammit, Beyond Stevens Universe is a really good title and now I want to see that.
Samuel Lopez
>22 minute episodes >on modern CN
Nice try. You almost had me.
Camden Kelly
Actually wasn't the ending of season 4 a viewership lowpoint before it picked back up in 5? I could totally see CN making this call early on right as 4 was finishing up, and that's why 5 felt rushed in the later half, as that's what would have been in production as 4 aired
Joseph Perry
>Insider here stopped reading there
Lucas Clark
Yeah, but how would OP know this? It just seems like a lot of info he shouldn´t have. The only reliable leak of CN we had recently is the guy who said SU will get 9 seasons and a movie but didn´t talk about CN´s marketing strategy. Also 22 minute episodes on modern CN really kills it.
Juan Gray
>rebecca nobody is watching your fucking show please go make another one *makes more of steven universe* >brilliant we're greenlighting two seasons
If you were straight that wouldn't be the reaction you'd have from a girl kissing you. Steven is a gay cuck.
James Butler
show is failing, gonna be cancelled, so sugar pitches.. literally the same show except people are a bit older and CN eats it up? Nah. Also that title is awful and would almost kill a sequel series on it's own
Jace Sullivan
OP you know nobody believes this shit right. The only insiders that tell the truth are the ones that give extremely vague spoilers that turn out to be real later. Like the user who worked on Disenchantment who spoiled a bunch of minor details that where real. These fake leaks always fail because they go for the BIG reveals
Charles Martin
He was just caught off guard. That image is mere moments before mating press
Christian Brooks
This, he looks like he just kissed his grandmother.
Oliver Perry
Show was/is the second highest rated on CN even with the hiatuses kneecapping viewership.
Adam Collins
>Also that title is awful and would almost kill a sequel series on its own What are you talking about, it´s the only good thing about OP´s lies. It´s the perfect title for a continuation of the show. In fact, it´s a better title than whatever they´re gonna rebrand the show as next year.
Exactly, why cancel a show because the ratings are low in order to make way for what's essentially another season of that show?
Henry Morgan
I see their logic. A simple rebranding is all a dying series needs sometimes and I think CN knows that the fanbase and new viewership from a rebranding is strong enough to support such an idea. They weren't trying to get rid of Steven universe, just find a gimmick to gain some viewers
It´s not really canceling if it´s the same product. They wouldn´t need to change the location of where the storyboarders are working on. Essentially it´s just season 6-7 but with a different name to make it look "SPECIAL"
Jordan Murphy
artists name is Hatebit just accept that Steven is a cuck
Pretty sure Steven universe is just an experiment to know how long you can stretch a schedule without anyone noticing. Think about it, they air an episode once every 5 months or so, it's absolute trash that should cut viewership in half, but every time we talk about it you could think the latest episode was a week ago.
Once they have mastered the art of the hiatus, CN will be able to milk any franchise for a decade with only 12 episodes instead of 50 and maintain levels of hype so high you'd think the DVD box sets are full of heroin.
What is more to do? More fillers or actually competent villains from another alien race?
Kayden Campbell
>Insider here. I don't believe you. Make a timestamp with some ref material that would come from the animation studio or whatever you were working in.
Mason Young
>>This was entirely a CN decision, they saw dwindling viewership of SU and told Sugar they were ending it early, but we're open to whatever other new show ideas she had including potential spinoffs >>Sugar used the opportunity to rebrand as an entirely new sequel show
No, she wanted to continue Steven universe. If CN was okay with it, why the hell not?
Sebastian Martin
How is making a sequel to the show you wanted to make more of in the first place being lazy? I swear SU attracts bizarre levels of vitriol
Julian Jones
The show can take a huge leap in quality and that's still going to be the meme spewed years from now
Liam Lewis
Good title at least
Ayden Kelly
God I hope this is true. This show has needed 22 minute episodes for so long
Mason Hernandez
Which is why it won't happen. Not the crew's fault and all and even they want 15 minutes at least but CN is cheap. One of their VA's even threw shade at CN recently during an official panel saying that she's "glad the movie is longer than 11 minutes".
>This shows that this is fake. I think the 22 minute episodes bit is more of a giveaway. There's no fucking way CN would produce a show like that nowadays. Nu-uh.
Ian Young
There were some neat episodes like Know Your Fusion and Mindful Education, but yeah it was rough for a while. Then we got the zoo arc, Storm in the Room and the great four part finale.
Well Doug Out wasn't as good as the rest but it was still fun
Jaxon Gonzalez
So basically it's just Steven Universe: Alien Force I can dig that
Samuel Rivera
I'm SO sure this is fake but I really want it to be true.
Hunter Adams
Still waiting on that Greg/Steven fusion voiced by Jack Black...
Chase Ross
/sug/ confirmed this fake and gay
Lincoln Smith
>Yea Forums >ever being non-autistic enough to read faces >even cartoon ones

Juan Bennett
That's the dream right there, user. I don't expect it to be Jack, but we'll always have that dream. This is if it even happens after all. It's worth noting that the "Performances by" list that was put out with the intiial reveal poster didn't have anything by new characters (like the antagonist) so who knows? Maybe there's some surprises in there.
As of right now we're not sure, but I wouldn't doubt if they're in the film that they're gonna sing. It's a musical movie after all.
Christian Nelson
I dont think this is true, but I wouldnt pass CN to ben 10 the shit of SU, thou I dont think it will happen because I dont think SU is as popular as Ben 10 was
Hudson Flores
>I dont think SU is as popular as Ben 10 was Debatable
Daniel Walker
Pretty much no show on current day CN sees the ratings that Ben 10 got. SU is currently at the top percent of those shows though with TTG dropping behind in recent months.
Isaiah Lopez
Figured this was the best place to post this. New art for the movie gem from Joe Johnston
Am I the only one who gets Cuphead and other 1930s-animated-character-design vibes from her?
Julian Green
Probably intentional, my friend said the same thing. She's clearly based on rubberhouse animation with a bit of Luffy and a smidge of XJ9. People tend to forget that Rebecca is as big of an autist as the rest of us when it comes to cartoon and anime.
Josiah Foster
*rubberhose
Juan Thomas
>Still seething beyond lunacy yikes and cringepilled
Justin Howard
This has a lot of red flags that makes me doubt whether it's true, but I really hope it is just so they can do things from outside Steven's perspective
Bentley Wright
>Beyond Stevens Universe I can dig it
Jaxson Lewis
This. It's about time the show broadens its horizons
Jack Taylor
>Steven Universe: Gem Force >Steven Universe: Ultimate Gem >Steven Universe: Steverse And then two years later, a reboot of the original.
Nicholas Ross
His power level increases. Super conversation god level! Ka me ha me waaaaaaah! Beam of tears!
