And that time it doesn't work because one thing went wrong. And Light is ruined and loses everything as a result because there's no b c or d outcomes where he still wins just slightly.

I meant more in character moments. A lot of redundant scenes and unneeded subplots could have been cut out to spent more time actually connecting the hundreds of characters in this show. When Bart had his heartfelt moment with Jay this episode, my only thought was this was the first time these characters even talked to each other this season.

Bart has barely appeared this season. The relationship the writers want you to care about is Brion/Halo.

Then Weisman picked the wrong characters. Like when D&D thought more people would care more about Dorne than the Greyjoys, and that decision irreparably fucked up GOT.

All of them start with 5-6 main characters, they try to develop theor relationships but at the end they just go nuts and add 18384 characters due to the amount of source material.
