What did Suyin mean by this?

I hardly remember anything about Suyin other than her being a hypocrite

It means they're gonna have a threeway between her and the grannies then call Korra and analmi after their post sex spirit world honey moon for a five way

someone explain this character to me because she comes off as this enormously hypocritical dirtbag but the show never acknowledges this and it doesn't seem like that was the intention of the writers

Kuvira was a crazy nutjob who just tried to kill her own husband and the Avatar and a bunch of people because she wants Republic City for no reason. She's answering for her crimes.

She's the literal worst character in the entire franchise

>Let's her son, who did everything right along with Kuvira until he was literally kidnapped and dragged away, off completely scott free
mhmm, yeah that's fair and reasonable. get the fuck off this board suyin

she was a self-insert fantasy for at least one of the writers. it's the only explanation

It's almost like the writers for Korra were massively incompetent or something.

>Let's her son, who did everything right along with Kuvira until he was literally kidnapped and dragged away, off completely scott free
wow so you're telling me a mother might be a little biased towards her own son?
Kuvira was always the one calling the shots and she just got done nearly killing him

Kuvira has murdered people on-screen and yet people think Suyin is worse because "she's a meanie :'("

Kuvira unironically did nothing wrong.

she was a realistically flawed minor character

>wow so you're telling me a mother might be a little biased towards her own son?
>Kuvira was always the one calling the shots and she just got done nearly killing him
>she later bitches and guilt trips Kuvira about MUH I TOOK U IN AS AN ORFAN
Also Bataar made it clear to his father's face that he was mostly doing this shit purely to spite his family. He didn't object to a single thing Kuvira did

/thread

This would be true if the writing treated her as such, but it put her on a pedestal instead.

I didnt watch, what warcrimes did she actually commit?

God I want to fuck Azula

no they didn't, even now in the comics they are beating us over the head with how bitchy she is. Korra didn't approve of her plan to try and assassinate Kuvira the show even has Miss Perfect Pants Jinora talk about how much of a shitlord she is for attacking during a ceasefire. it wasn't a coincidence that they had her comment in S3 about how the Earth Kingdom needs to change and then when presented with the opportunity she declines. they just don't treat her like Satan like you guys want she's just a normal flawed person every decision she makes I can understand. like people not understanding why she wouldn't just, what, stop loving Bataar Jr.? cmon guys

Azula is for gentle hand-holding and healing from mental trauma

Yeah, yeah. Of course. But I’ll apprecate crazy Azula too. I’ll support her ambitions of world domination when she asks me too and her healing when it comes. I’ll just hope she stays crazy in the bedroom

They're going to give her another medal for doing everything right

I want to be her brother

Attached: 1559286437673.png (585x525, 138K)

I’m sure she’d be into role play

best Azula is zucest Azula

Hrmm yes source?

>I'm going to try to assassinate my adopted daughter a night before a peaceful meeting with her the Avatar and my son

Attached: 1.jpg (1280x1673, 340K)

What did Kurvira even plan to do with her giant mech if she won? Take over the world?

the writters didn't think that far forward or in fact not at all

Ostensibly she just wanted all of the former Earth Kingdom realm that made up the bulk of the continent
So after claiming the Republic she'd just rule I guess. At that point who can really do shit against her

>can see her bush peeking out
lord in heaven why must you tempt me so

Attached: p2_SweatingMan_ML1707_ts465887127.jpg (1500x1146, 334K)

But the whole point is that she IS a Satan. That's the whole fucking point! It's why we're all exasperated about her. She's a terrible fucking person who seems to hate her family and hate her friends and actively destroy and belittle her close relationships and use them as functional things to advance her own position and comfort. Su-Yin is literally a monster in the show, some mild rebukes from time to time don't cut it.

Her son was the more violent, spiteful of pair, and was the one that wanted to destroy their city and enslave his family under their rule. Kuvira was the even handed one. Also, you're forgeting that Su admits that she sees Kuvira as a daughter, even informally adopting her, and would have even approved of Kuvira marrying her son, if wasn't for the fact that she went full fascist.

>analmi
Was that intention of a Freudian slip?

You incestfags are as awful as the Zutarians.

No Imd say they’re a lot better. Their porn certainly is more entertaining for one. You just have shit taste.

Who said anything about him not going to prison?

just ignore and report them when you see them

its literally just 1-2 to guys talking to each other

He hasn't even been mentioned. Isn't at Kuvira's trial or anywhere in the comics
If he's going through anything harshes than house arrest at Zaofu I'll eat my hat
Even Asami has made more of an effort to move on with Kuvira than Syuin

>She's a terrible fucking person who seems to hate her family and hate her friends and actively destroy and belittle her close relationships and use them as functional things to advance her own position and comfort.
actual fanfic

>Kuvira was the even handed one
No she wasn't, she was the one with the passion behind the Empire. She fed Bataar's ego and gave him an outlet to shine, that and genuine love was his motive. She's the one forcing people to join her. She's the one who marched on Zaofu and Republic City, if she wanted to abandon the Empire than they would have abandoned the Empire. She was always the one who called the shots. She LITERALLY tried to zap him and the Avatar and the whole main cast out of existence.

Suyin may have took her in but she wasn't her own. She's the root of all this, it's easy to see why Su abandoned her and not Bataar. Kuvira is NOT sympathetic from Suyin's POV why would she be Suyin gave her an out at the beginning of the season but Kuvira was hellbent on making the world her enemy.

>Suyin may have took her in but she wasn't her own.
Su Yin literally admitted to Korra that she adopted Kuvira and saw her as a daughter after she was oprhaned. That's why she's so pissed at her. Not because she went Earth Dictator. That's just window dressing. The whole strategy to invade Zaofu and Republic City? That was all Bataar. Using violence and was ready to take Zaofu by force before Kuvira talked him down, threatening to crush Varrick's skull if Bolin and Zhu Li didn't surrender, and ordering the arrest of his family because they refuse to bow down to his waifu? That goes beyond mere loyalty. Bataar was fully complicit and aware. And he was still more violent prone and impulsive than Kuvira.

>Suyin and Korra war crimes
Breaking ceasefire in assassination attempt
Breaking surrender negotiations to kidnap diplomatic noncombatant
Terrorist actions and rhetoric (suicide bombing, threatening no return of hostage)
Blood relation exempted from tribunal judgement
>Kuvira war crimes
Put political dissidents into labor camps (bush league compared to the royal family which Suyin wants to reinstall)

Gotta say Suyin is the main bad guy. If Korra was a good Avatar she would take them both down and let the Earth King dissolve into independent states united by a democratic republic. Prince Wu says that's what he wants anyway, put it's pretty clear that he's just an easily manipulated puppet for Raiko and Suyin. Literally right out of Long Feng's playbook.

>The whole strategy to invade Zaofu and Republic City?
That was Kuvira.
>I won't celebrate until the Earth Kingdom is one hundred percent reunited.
>Then you know what's coming for Zaofu.
Kuvira's the one that wanted a united empire more than anything, and when given the choice between Bataar Jr. and Republic City she chose Republic City. And I'd say that isn't a sign of how "evil" Kuvira is and moreso how much she wanted to unite the Earth Kingdom since the show definitely more than implied she loved the guy. Bataar was complicit, he made her her damn doom's day weapon, but Kuvira was always the driving force behind the movement. I wouldn't say Bataar felt no passion towards the Earth Empire but he was mostly in it because of Kuvira and whatever decisions she took he'd follow.

The Beifongs all love each other, Bataar Jr. was scorned at being overshadowed by papa (don't name your kids [Your Name] Jr., folks!) but he still flipped out when Opal was put in danger during Operation Beifong. That's the difference between Kuvira and Bataar. Kuvira would have sacrificed anything for her dream meanwhile Bataar doesn't have the passion or spine to go that far.

Azula is for supporting her mental illness and helping her to see the world burn.

bless you

>Put political dissidents into labor camps

Which was introduced off-screen and not really explored until the sequel comic. Just a last-minute attempt by Bryke to remind us she's the villain.

didn't we literally meet fugitives from the camps which Bolin and Varrick help, I only remember because one of them oddly looked exactly like Wan
