just like Over the Garden Wall

Woulda been nice if they announced it as a mini-series from the get-go.

But hey, at least it shows that CN is still willing to experiment with the format.

poor tulip

at least you don't have to wait very long to get the full package after such a long period between the pilot and series?

Sounds comfy, and it can be watched in a day over the week is over. I remember I was having a shitty week but at the end of the day I could look forward to watching another episode of OTGW.

Thank fucking god. I said it in previous threads: I don´t think the concept works as a 3 season show, but as a mini-series it´s perfect.

I haven't been interested at all but the shitposting finally made me curious, what's Infinity Train even about?

People wanted it to be a mini since creation.

FUCKING MIRACLES

>an episode is just 10 minutes
>full series is a little over 2 hours
just make a fucking movie and drop the pretense of this being a series

The dungeon train episode of AT, spun into a mini series.

I-I didn't see that either?

Not all stories that are short need to be put into a movie's constraints and vice versa

>It took three years for this to be made

Y-you can use google can't you?

apparently they didn't have any constraints, so what's the difference?

Order and pacing of plot progression. If it's about a train maybe they want to have a clear sense of start and stop between episodes. With a movie you have to keep the plot in motion continuously for the runtime

Movies are objectively inferior to series

3 years ago was when the pilot was released, but full series development didn't start until 2 years ago

Neat, when was the last time there was a shitty miniseries? Even if it's bad, at least it won't overstay its welcome

Segmentation.

A movie would be about a single two hour story, while 10 eleven minute chunks allow them to tell different stories as part of a whole. Same with over the garden wall, that would be an entire different thing if it was one story instead of 10 that made up a greater whole.

Formats, bitch.

>it gave us the creative freedom for divorce shit and to do feels!

CN should have greenlighted this sooner so production could have started sooner

>Neat, when was the last time there was a shitty miniseries?
I guess that Live the Royals thing? Never saw it but it came and went in an instant and no one talked about it.

We are in an age of cartoon mini series

Interesting

this show isn't going to be anywhere near as good as OtGW

Attached: 1561570695160.png (784x1484, 1.37M)

The question is, will it be as good as OTGW?

Probably not.

The pilot was pretty funny, but I hadn't watched a single episode afterward. Kinda forgot about it until just now actually.

OTGW wasn't that good

I wasn't in love with garden wall but I haven't even watched the pilot of this
should be interesting to compare

Well fuck this, I'll just DVR Mao Mao, wake me up when Owl House starts...

It really isn't good at all, OTGW gets a lot of praise, and its well deserved, but Infinity Train isn't even better than later RS. I mean I haven't seen the entire thing yet, obviously, but I already know the unlikeable aspects are part of how it is.

...

it really comes of as more pretentious than whimsical

At least it won’t get fucked by the network that much, only a little

Nothing the network would want to do would hurt it, the only thing they'd do that Owen or the staff wouldn't already is tone down the drama, but after starting off with that divorce shit I can't see why it isn't a good thing in this instance to do so. Just fucking christ give me a break.

Genndy Wars, zoomer.

...He didn't say they never happened before now, nigga

you're kinda right, but still
i hope these people get another show right away.

It didn't seem to go anywhere. I watched some of it, it seemed boring, and I forgot all about it.

>i hope these people get another show right away.

The last one was in 2015

What a waste

OtGW isn't good though

That might explain why Yea Forums loves it so much

Into the trash it goes.

This. Yea Forums only likes it because they identify with the cucked MC.

Wow, way to kill discussion so fast.

>muh parent are divorcing
meh

I'm generally okay with this. If that's the length of the story they want to tell, then that's the length. But now I expect the writing to be super tight.

LMAO, AMPHIBIA will live on for seasons, while this garbage gets forgotten in a month, Rejoice!

Source of that Twit, OP.

Can't get run into the ground at least, probably for the best.

That's barely over an hour. Not even a full feature length

twitter.com/OweeeeenDennis/status/1153484963934638080

Thank god I don't identify with Yea Forums.

Get better at math.

It's for the best (it might've been canned before reaching a conclusion)

if you talk about a baoard like it's a person, you can just slice your throat and die.

This is a good thing.
Hell it is a fucking great thing and more shows should do it.
I know people like to troll by talking about how superior anime is to cartoons but one way I agree with is that most anime know when to wrap up instead of going on forever without a plan. Pretty much all of our shows either get cancelled or go full Dragonball levels of not knowing where to go next.

Good. Although OTGW felt a bit too compressed.

Animation is time consuming so hoping it will look spectacular

It already got fucked over by being in a bomb format.

Overrated garbage

80-100 minutes is exactly feature length.

Attached: 4c3.png (234x347, 29K)

anything that starts with a homage to Hedgehog in the Fog can't be bad

This is EXACTLY what I requested.

>had to simplify the designs from the unremarkable pilot
>OMG SPECTACULAR SUCH HARD WORKING TALENTED ALLIES
every time

>wait 3 years
>only 10 eps
Why?

It starts strong but gets weaker with every new episode.
That one where they try to homage old cartoons was terrible, the silly potatoes and molasses song being sung dramatically as Gregory is dying or something actually made me laugh.
Not to mention the twist about the brothers coming from the 80s is extremely lame.

>INFINITY train
>Is a LIMITED series

Attached: 1558336073932.png (423x350, 104K)

That gives more chances for Amphibia to rot like Star vs. did.

No, pls, pls God send all the bad writters to other show

Despite it only being ten episodes, doesn't it still have a chance of getting renewed anyway? Considering how this show was marketed as a "series" and not a "miniseries" and how the "ten episode" thing was their decision.

Yeah, I think I'm ready for western haruhi.

Looks like they went the Steven Universe route to get rid of the normal guy doing ads and went for the woman.

So does this mean it's only 5 22 minute episodes? Yikes.

unless the crew play the shipping or racism cards and lose its main focus supposed to be. I don't see Amphibia would get StarVs-ed.

The most recent one? I like her. Good speaking voice.

It did look a bit rough in areas during the first episode. The atmosphere was great though so that'll make up for it.

Oh, unexcepted but I knew it's gonna be a miniseries.

People probably said the same thing of OTGW and look what happened

Please just give me another escapist animation series that lasts 10 years.

But OTGW was announced as a miniseries from the start, it had no chance of renewal. Infinity Train was announced as an official series, and if you see that Apple & Onion got the same order of episodes and still got renewed, there's a chance that IT may get the same treatment.

The Hollow?

Most bad short series seem to be rightfully ignored and forgotten.

Attached: 1C00FDC5-5370-4A9B-8A42-EFC8FFDCF9FD.jpg (400x267, 16K)

When was it announced as a full show? They just said, "new show coming: infinity train". Never specified if it was a three season-long show, or a short one. I highly doubt production started with it being planned as a full show and then turned around to be a mini-series. It was a mini-series since it was greenlit.

>in before Infinity Train was a video game reality show all along

>The Neverending Story
>94 minutes

>10 11-minute episodes
Doesn't seem all that infinite.

>tfw I actually like the Hollow

Attached: 20190720_102112.jpg (632x771, 179K)

More miniseries, please. OtGW was fantastic, and the regular show guy's sucked. I'm disappointed they stopped after that, I expected more experimental short series.

Attached: 1540854357028.jpg (800x450, 57K)

it has 9000 shitty sequels

I think everyone agrees on that. They should've communicated this better from the start, though. Once it got picked up I think everyone assumed it would be a full season and it took until now for Owen Dennis to finally confirm what everyone suspected after CN announced the air date. Which was actually "debunked" by some clueless motherfucker on here and Twitter, further confusing people.

They aren't from the 80s. Wirt just likes old stuff.

Quality over, quantity.

A girl find herself inside a mysterious giant train traveling across a weird and dangerous wasteland. Each wagon is a different thing, and she need to find the conductor to find a way back home.

This, here in south America we got OTGW weirdly edited to make it more like a movie, they seriously made it worse.

Can somebody quicksell me on why Yea Forums is hyped? Not trying to shitpost but Regular Show was the kind of cringy Hot Topic t shirt randumb shit that I'd expect Yea Forums to hate. And it was ugly

It was good actually
