I'm a DCSHG fan and I also fucking love Amphibia, it's full of great character building and deadly peril and also wacky humor.
Honestly, between DCSHG and Amphibia, we're in a better spot for cartoons than we were a year ago. All of a sudden, we have these two bright spots that have opened up.

All shitposting aside this is a fantastic time for western animation at least as far as TV goes.
DCSHG is funny and completely lacking in plot (This is a feature at this point)
Amphibia is a best of both world situation where it is mostly just fun and character with an overarching plot that isn't overbearing.
Infinity Train seems like it could be a great small cast bizarro adventure if they have it end with Tulip getting off the train instead of getting on and off.

The influx of good new cartoons has only further helped me realize just how bad SU has gotten.
At this point superhero MLP has me significantly more hyped than a movie event for what I used to happily describe as my favorite cartoon.
